  2. I added this in for both the suggestion and removal forms.
  3. Here is a simple guide with tips to help beginners with learning how to surf, it can be accessed anytime in game by typing !guide. - The most basic way to learn it is to remember this figure: D/\A - Hold D on the left side of the ramp, and hold A while on the right side. It's always the opposite of the slop you are currently on. - You only use A and D while surfing, you will almost never use the W or S key unless you are purposely trying to stop your motion, and you will be holding down either the A or D key at all times. - Going from the top of a ramp towards the bottom will always increase your speed. If you want to maintain this speed when moving from ramp to ramp, you will want to turn up towards the end of the ramp, to launch off while being able to reach the necessary distance for the next ramp. You will almost always want to aim for the top corner of the next ramp, in order to maintain your speed and use gravity to your advantage. - The best way to practice strafe patterns, which are necessary for surf, is to play on an ice skating map and practice making figure eights. The same motion patterns are used while surfing. - Once you get the basics down, the best thing for you to do is to continuously practice. The proper motions and techniques will become muscle memory with enough practice. Here's an in depth video, for people who learn better from watching it in action:
  4. This map is waaay too big, unfortunately.

  7. Best of luck with graduation and the job search, you dirty Canadian. wicked pissah would be proud
  8. I edited the food forum to be named food and fitness, as both things kind of work hand in hand (or completely against each other). At the very least, it should bring more activity to it than having it be only for food.
  9. Jfilthy has been permed, as requested by himself. He decided that he wanted to take his exit, and came on multiple accounts to mass freekill and drop a few racial slurs, purposely getting himself banned. It's not the best way to decide to leave the community, but the decision to take this path was all his.
  10. All GameMe would be able to track on the server is playtime, and probably the amount of times you die. If you guys want your playtime to be tracked, then @Caution could probably throw it up on there, but for any surf related stats you can only view them in game.

@TheCreator are you able to reupload the images you posted here? Going to be updating some of these.
  15. ^ There are a few maps that can work as both combat and timer maps, but this one isn't one of them.

  17. This is a combat surf map, can't put it on a timer server.

  19. I've wished people who I don't know a happy birthday, does that make me an disingenuous person with ulterior intentions? No, I just wanted to be a good person and send some birthday wishes their way, and this could very well apply to some of the other members who post. Again, it isn't our place to automatically make negative assumptions like this. If it really does come down to people doing it to increase post count, then the fact still stands that the threads are constructive and do have a purpose, and if people feel the need to go there simply to increase a number then so be it. But are people being "disingenuous" a big enough problem to restrict things from the rest of the people who use it properly, and all those who used it in the past? It's a pretty big removal for a problem that seems to be pure speculation, which if true, only has positive consquences for both the poster and the person who's birthday it is.
  20. I don't believe the spam section ever counted towards post count, but regardless, is it really our place to say whether or not people are being genuine in their birthday posts? Just let them wish them a happy birthday and leave it up for the person who's birthday it is to interpret it however they want. Actually, threads moved to the spam section do lose their post count value, but the thanks are retained because they are just hidden. If we disabled post count for that section as a whole, we would clear out all previous post count values from the past 8 years, when the section was created.
  21. Just because a small number of people may post for that reason doesn't mean we should restrict it for everyone else - people can post in those threads for any reason they please, whether it be just for the post count or to genuinely wish them a happy birthday. Not to mention restricting post count in those sections would remove thousands of posts from people who posted there in the past, which would be pretty lame.
  22. Are people receiving post count in these sections that big of a deal? I always thought of it as a nice way for someone to become introduced and accustomed to the forums, while still receiving something in return for it, which is literally just a number. They are still constructive posts (unlike the spam section), so it's fair for those to count towards the admin post count requirement, and if people feel the need to post in birthday threads for thanks, then so be it. I'd prefer them do that than hold giveaways where people can only enter by thanking the post.
