If you want something from the store either put the time in on the servers or buy the credits. I think you’re reading into things too much. This is a general guideline to refer to when explaining to admins what the repercussions would be for acting naughty not a hard guideline for what will happen. I believe they stated things would be dealt with on a case by case basis so I’m sure that the additional context that would apply in the questions you’re raising would decide the outcome.

Very mature post fuze. I'm proud. Adding an award for server admin is dumb. The only requirements for admin are consistent activity over a period of a few months and making sure admins like you so they'll say support on your app. Not worthy of a badge at that point in your SG tenure. I'm on the fence about CA... On one hand the rank gets treated as purgatory for admins who are not idiots (mostly... Things have changed a bit) but do not or cannot commit more time/effort into the community or simply do not wish to advance here. I'd agree that people like charliere deserve a rank for their contributions to the community in terms of time and energy invested and bullshit put up with, but I wouldn't feel comfortable advising that every CA gets one because frankly I've seen some pretty useless and shitty CA's here over the years.

Send the quarterly update posts out as a newsletter to registered email addresses so that you can call on a player base that's already familiar with the community and hopefully bring back some familiar faces. User retention rates aren't exactly the best around here so use the tools we have to remind people we exist and update them on improvements and the general happenings of the community. I'm pretty sure Nishok or one of the other TAs will know how to set up a mail server that you can run this off of. If not hit me up and maybe I'll do it out of kindness.

I agree it's a half measure at the moment but the words you used for your example won't exactly get you demonitized on the major platforms yet although excessive use can be annoying. If anything this is probably the just the start. If you rush into something like this you'll piss a lot of people off at the same time. If you slowly take them away the backlash is minimal.

Whether or not you agree with the decision the fact remains that this is a step towards being a more inclusive and mainstream community. How is marketing supposed to do their job if people who may be interested in running sponsored events or something come on the servers and hear a bunch of socially unacceptable language? In terms of pushing the community itself forward this is one of many hard decisions that has to be made if this place wants any actual success in the current social climate.

Let the "I thought we were better friends than that" games begin. Can't wait to see who snitches on who when they get upset.

There are ways to rebel and still have fun. A lot of the blame for state of affairs on the server is placed on the CTs but depending on how sweaty the Ts are that are on at the time often dictates how sweaty the orders are. Not excusing the general lack of creative and fun Guards but it's hard to give creative orders when you're having to DM every round.

Voted for all of them because they're the real MVPs here. Anyone who does technical work for free deserves to win this stupid contest just on contributions to the community alone.

Voted for Alex because he's my favorite out of the group Also voted for ZZL only because he reminds me a little of myself and others that have popped up here over the years. You can tell he clearly cares about the community and wants to see it do well. Hopefully he has more patience than myself and the others I have alluded to so that he can see it through.
