The DX11 cards being over priced? if anything, i'd say Nvidia's cards are currently over priced if they are being beaten by cheaper DX11 cards from ATI. Why buy a DX10 GTX 260 when you can get a cheaper DX11 HD 5770 that is on par with it? Why buy a DX10 GTX 285 when you can get a Cheaper DX 11 HD 5850 that is on par with it? Why buy a DX10 GTX 295 when you can get a cheaper DX 11 HD 5870 that is on par with it? Why buy two GTX 285's SLI'd for 800-900 when you can buy a single HD 5970 for 600 that is greatly better? Nvidia is the one who needs to slash prices on their DX 10 cards.

That site you linked showed that the 5770 is on par with a GTX 260, with the 5850 being ahead, and the 5870 wasn't even in the comparison. Seeing as how the 5770 is on par with a GTX 260, yet is 20-40 dollars cheaper, i'd know which one i'd rather buy. Here is a comparison from that same site, this time it has the 5970, 5870, 5850, a bunch of 4000 series cards, and the GTX 295's and 285s http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5970,2474-8.html the comparison there shows the HD 5000 series beating Nvidia's cards, specially at 1900x1200 or 2560x1600 resolutions. This comparison shows us: The HD 5870 is on par with a GTX 295, yet is roughly 100 dollars cheaper. The HD 5850 beats a GTX 285, yet is roughly 100 dollars cheaper. a HD 5970 runs circles around sli'd GTX 285s, yet would be 200 dollars cheaper then getting 2 GTX 285s.

I see... I think having a 100 dollar limit for upgrading graphics card, with your current card a 9400.. doesn't seem like a good investment.. Best you could get is a 9600 GT, but the performance boost probably wouldn't be noticeable. I think you should wait, add some money every week to how much you'll spend for a graphics card upgrade, then aim for an upgrade at the 150-200 dollar range, like a HD 5770 or a GTX 260.

I would advise getting the HD5770 instead of the 5750... the 5770 is only 20 dollars more than a 5750.

How is TF2 nearly unplayable when you're getting 60FPS? Wut? Pretty much every game that comes out has a min. graphics card recommendation as a Nvidia 6800, while recommended is a 7600.

the 300GB one has 10000 RPM, which means it has high data transfer rate / read rate, etc etc. the 1TB is 7200 RPM, which is also good. I would advise getting the 1TB HDD, mainly due to personal experience with 300-400GB HDDs running out of space too fast.

Doesn't seem very outrageous to me, seeing as how a GTX 295 costs 520-550 dollars. odd, my BF2 is in compat and admin, thats what i had to do to get it to work... maybe we had different errors..

Sigh, as i said in an earlier thread, Towards you no less (Surprise, the 14 year old ignores facts), The PS3 servers where down for 8 hours due to Infinity Ward underestimating the amount of first day sales for the PS3 platform. IW added more servers for MW2 due to the large amount of people buying the game, fixing the issue gradually, with it being completely gone in a span of 8 hours. Once again, in simple terms (You seem to have a difficult time understanding simple shit), in no way was this a PS3 or PSN related error, just IW underestimating the first day sales. Same thing happened when Halo 3 launched, but i guess you'll try to forget that right? What was the other one, Halo 3 was the only one i was aware of ... Gears 2 had a botched online, but that was due to Epics coding or something, not server related.

MW2 PS3 server issue was fixed, it was fixed in a few hours. And, for the last time, get it into your 14 year old head, IW claimed the server issue was because they underestimated the MW2 sales for the PS3 platform, which is why there was Server error for around 8 hours. The Fault lies with IW, not PSN, not Sony, and not the PS3. Just a simple mistake on IWs part.
