I'm sorry, but Starcraft 2 is nothing new. It has amazing production values, incredibly balanced and very fun. SC2 doesn't offer anything fresh to the RTS genre. Blizzard make fantastic games, don't get me wrong, but SC2 is not going to reinvent the RTS genre.

So, if I take a hallucinogenic drug alone I might harm the visions that I see? Just because people drive drunk does not mean people will drive under the influence of other drugs. Correlation does not mean causation. You can't prove that deaths will go up if drugs are legalized, because they aren't and there have been no records previous to them being illegal. More people die from the import, selling, and battling of drugs than do users of said drug. Take away the ability for people to harvest and sell the drug and you take away the reason for them to fight for control over the street. People that get caught driving drunk face high penalties. People under the influence of drugs would face similar penalties. We're a smart civilization, we can figure out how to cope with drugs being legal. Like I said before, if someone wants to get high, they will, regardless of law. These laws don't protect us, they hurt us by allowing the criminals to profit and gives them reason to continue killing each other and civilians because they want control. If the government regulated drugs then the cartels would wither away.

That's their choice. Why should something, or someone, that doesn't even know me, decide what I can and cannot do? People should live with their decisions and not have some floating head tell them that 'this' and 'that' are bad. If someone wants to do meth, they'll do it, regardless of laws. You can't stop anyone from doing what they want, all you can do is waste time and money 'punishing' them. It's complete bullshit.

That is 100% true, though we have had some gems with HL2, Portal, and L4D. Eventually, someone will reinvent the genre or create a new one. It's just a matter of time before something better comes along, though gaming will never truly die. People never run out of ideas.

Trends in technology do not suggest that in any way, shape, or form. Gaming is growing, not dying. Not only do people make money off of developing games, but people make money just by blogging about it. It's a huge industry. Saying gaming will die out is like saying porn will die out. Never going to happen. Today's gaming certain will die out as new forms take over, but gaming as a whole will be around until the end of time. Gaming is almost an instinct. Animals like to play around, even in the wild you see bear cubs playing with each other. It's natural to want entertainment.

They can't handle the stress of playing PB, that's all. They're all just a big bunch of pussies that like their games spoon fed to them with little to no thought. Sure, PB has its problems, but all mods do. PB is a fantastic mod, just needs more maps.

I feel that the community will embrace newer games (such as Killing Floor) and will continue to grow. The servers will thrive on this and will contain a community of their own. Where it's a public server but plays like a private one. You know most of the people and know that they actually want to play and not screw around. Gaming will eventually shift to a new paradigm that, I believe, SG will embrace. While SG isn't the largest community, it is definitely growing and the base community is player-centric with many ideals that players enjoy, such as hosted servers and monthly gatherings. I think SG is too big to die. Should Haggard leave, someone else will rise up and take his place. There are too many passionate people here to let this site and community wither.

Medical Marijuana has a lot of uses and when it becomes legal (no longer a question of 'if'), a lot of pharmaceutical companies will be going out of business. Marijuana helps reduce pain, relieves symptoms of many diseases and is non-lethal. There is no recorded case of anyone, ever, overdosing on marijuana. There are also very few cases of marijuana related violence (outside of buying/selling) like there are with alcohol. Pot doesn't make you angry or prone to violence. I've never smoked it but I am an advocate of it. It is a useless drug to penalize people for. It causes over crowding in jail and ruins lives. All for a harmless plant, one that can be smoked without any processing or chemicals. Personally, I think all drugs should be legalized and taxed. Everyone owns their own body, they should be able to do what they want with it. As long as what they do does not harm anyone else it should be legal. The only reason why marijuana is illegal is because of the threat of hemp used to replace clothing and other industrial needs. It is amazingly strong and cheap to manufacture. All the bullshit scare tactics from the 50's and 60's are false. Anyone who thinks that marijuana should be illegal needs to get their head out of their ass and do some research on it. It is an amazing drug that could help a lot more people than you think. It's not an evil thing that keeps parents up at night. It's not something we need to waste billions on trying to stop. It's something that can be used, not only an aide for people in need, but also as income for the country. The money made by taxing marijuana is also compounded by the people not sent to jail for owning or smoking it. Legalize it.

If it's a rule and someone constantly goes back in there, then they are up for a ban. The 15 second rule is just an arbitrary number that I thought of. It'd have to be different for each map, depending on where the weapons are in relation to the warp area. Another idea is to just have all the doors open up when there are 1 or 2 CTs left. That way they can't just sit behind a sealed door and pick people coming from one point of entry. In fact, I think that would be the best and easiest thing to do.

I think that this rule should only be applied when there are 1 or 2 CTs left. Not being allowed back at all is silly. I've often had to run back to get another weapon or to kill a T that ran in there. The only real way this could be implemented is with some timed teleportation. Meaning, if you're in the armory for more than 15 seconds, it warps you out.
