Ultimately the team had discussed this again and we all came to the conclusion that the lock out is less to stop people from intentionally mass freekilling and more of a stop gap for people who genuinely want to play CT but may not be as familiar with the game mode or specific rules in place for our server. Where we currently have it is where we feel comfortable with it. Thank you for the suggestion!

We already have a lock out system in place based on time. You have to play on the server for 30 minutes before you are able to play CT. The team feels adding points from the ranking system as a part of the lock out system is needed at this point in time. Rejected.

This is a cool idea and the JB team discussed this and can definitely see where this would be a fun thing to do. For now, with everything else going on we feel it is not the right time to take on this endeavor but this isn't being outright rejected. We may look into this in the future. It has always been an admins job to main the ratio if it gets out of control To clarify that an admin can ask people to switch to CT to maintain balance and if no one volunteers they should be switching people. If you frequent JB you know who is capable of playing CT. I find it hard to believe that out of 28 ts none of them have experience or are intelligent enough to play CT suddenly after the gangs update Normally yes we don't want to force people to play CT if they don't want to but id the teams are at 7 cts and 28ts I think we can all agree something needs be done to fix the issue. If rolling back gangs turns out to be the answer for now so be it. But if there were 32 people in the server and 30 of them didn't want to play CT and there were only 2 cts can we all agree and say it's time to overrule the comfortability clause and stick to the written down guideline that says to maintain ratio. Before the gang issue we would only need a volunteer for CTs or two but when it's getting to be 4:1 in the ts favor you need to be making sure that things are even. If there's that many people in the server use your discretion and move people you know can handle CT which shouldn't be hard since this only became an issue right after the gangs update.

As an admin you should be keeping the ratio in check. If any admins see the ratio getting out of control you should be switching people to maintain the 2:1 ratio. I'm not sure why as an admin you are not doing this. If you are contributing towards an 8-28 ratio and not rectifying it while in the server and instead just coming to the forums to complain I'm not sure how to help you. We are looking into adding a system for the CTs but ultimately rolling back the gangs plugin is up to @Dominic @Manny and @eXtr3m3

This has been discussed in many threads and many meetings with the staff. Ultimately we decided 25 minutes was the best due to issues like not wanting to make it too long and end up chasing away potential new players who are familiar with JB. I'm writing this on my phone so I won't go into too much detail but if you search the JB and Rules suggestion sub forums you will find a few threads on it. Anyway many ideas and potential scenarios were brought up but I personally don't think using people mass freekilling as a good scenario to increase it. If someone is gonna wait 25 minutes specifically to go on CT mass freekill and leave I'm sure they'll be willing to wait 40-45 minutes to do the same. In the end your still detouring other players from the ability to play as CT. I say this as someone who absolutely loves to fuck around (I'm a fan of that dumb shit you see) and I know if I was really willing to wait 25 minutes just to be able to switch to CT and mow the whole server down for the memes I can just as easily wait 45 minutes. But like is always said, nothing is written in stone and everything is subjected to change. If you can construct a good argument I have no problem getting behind it and speaking with the jb team on this but you need to consider more than just stopping mass freekillers who are willing to wait 25 minutes to troll a server. If anyone else has an opinion on this now in this thread is the time to say it.

Ultra was a friend of mine and I remember him kinda just accepting the fact that he was at a disadvantage. He became well respected so people tried a bit harder to accommodate him but if he got killed for not listening to an order I remember him just kinda accepting that as a fact of his circumstance. While I applaud you and hope you continue to play it's not very realistic to require people to stop and type out an order when you are on. It would be more of a courtesy towards you. Also one huge thing you need to remember is that the climate of JB is no where near what it was when ultra was playing.

In most cases people aren't going to join a game channel because they are playing that particular game (debatable) I think it would be a good idea to get rid of the specific game channels and just cut down to the servers we have this way I see it encouraging more people to join a teamspeak channel simply because people are in that channel. Right now maybe 4 channels are actually used by players to play games and then custom channels are made. Maybe cutting down to having the lounge idea like John shows above and then a channel for surf, ttt, etc would be a more friendly approach. Sorry if this doesn't explain the concept well enough

In my opinion there is only one reason you are in isolation and not on the back wall when that order is given. You have a gun and your scouting who you can pop a shot off at. Isolation in most maps (im assuming we are talking primarily about electric) are small to the point where you really can't do anything if you don't have a gun and it's not even feasible to attempt just running out. All you can do once you are in there is sit on the back wall and wait to be told to do something else. If you get upset that you got killed cause you were on low health or got sprayed down it really is your own fault. If you had no gun or anything to rebel with you are literally just trying to complain about something at that point. That's my honest opinion on this. With that said, I am still open to making a change if we need to.

It is in the name. It is your last request. You can try and talk your way into another one as not all CTs will gun you down immediately but any pardons don't have to be honored by any other CT once you complete your original last request. As of right now I don't see this being changed. But like we always say, nothing is written in stone, if there is a good discussion and good points on why it should be changed with sound logic the team will definitely discuss it. Closing the cell doors is completely within a CT's right to do. Many maps have secrets that lead directly to armory/guns in the cells and all you have to do is wait for the right time to use it. The issue is when someone explains why they are closing them and another CT goes "no leave the cells open cause leave the cells open" I'd in most cases be more willing to side with the person who wants to keep them closed with good logic over the guy who wants them open the sake of that's what they are used to doing. Also if you get caught in your cell you get caught in your cell. Doors tend to stay open as long as they need for everyone to get out. Back before maps had all the secrets they do now cell doors were almost always closed and if you didn't get out in time you were most likely taking a bullet to the face unless someone was nice. TLDR; Its not a problem.

I like the map overall. It's nostalgic of texture city with that familiarity of the electric razor maps. There were a few things we found that will be posted shortly to improve the map including the music. Great job overall but there are a few things that would need to be done before it could be added to our server. Watch for the following post by @Dominic
