This isn't a thread about help getting a new processor. This thread was to know if I could run BC2 with my current processor.

When my old mobo blew out I was originally going to get a Quad Core however when that happened, my memory was no longer any good and my video card broke. So I had to buy a new video card and memory and I was broke again. I was lucky enough to find a good 50$ mobo that I got. I've been saving up however now my mouse broke and I have to get a new one. Thank god I won the monitor otherwise.. But after my mouse I'll hopefully be getting a Quad Core

I have a Biostar mobo that was made about a year back so. I can hold up to an early Quad Core. Just not i7 but I dont have 600$ lieing around for a processor.

I used that. I passed everything except the processor. I can upgrade to a Core 2 Quad if i wanted to but I don't have the money and this processor is fine for me for now. I'll probably be upgrading in the distant future but as long as I can run BC2 now I'm fine.

My GPU is a GT 240 1024MB DDR3

Well my mo-bo can handle 800 or 667. At this point I have 667. Will that affect my gameplay in BC2 at all is my real question i guess.

Ok, one more question, i have 2 gb of 667 mhz ram. Ik theres like 800 mhz now but does that matter?

I was just wondering. I'm looking into buying Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the minimum requirement for a processor is a Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz. I know thats just a Dual-Core Processor. I have a Dual Core 2.5 Ghz but its not like in the Core 2 Duo generation. I've been told that they are the same processors just with a different name. So if I bought battlefield would I be able to run it?

Lately, when I join servers like PB or TTT there is no fun at all. If you left click someone in PB or crowbar someone once in TTT and they unload a whole fucking clip of the M249 on you.
