January 2004. Started by playing Day of Defeat WON (pre-steam) in about 2002 then they made a switch to steam around 2003 and was made steam only around 2004-05ish. Used to be the best game ever. Then I decided to get Counter-Strike Source so that I could play Day of Defeat Source but DoD:S was no where close to the quality of DoD so I started to play CS:S and that is when I came across this community!

This could have been asked before but I was interested: How did you come across SteamGamers? I'm very interested in seeing how people respond to this. For me I started back in '08 or so on ZE. I had a copy of CS:S and I wasn't ready to play the regular game so I decided to find some interesting servers with a lot of people to play in and I came across the ZE server filled with people after I just sorted the server browser for the server with the highest population and fell in love with ZE instantly. I ended up playing frequently on ZE then moved on to PB over some time and have since begun to play on basically all the servers.

I don't think PB will have an issue. It's always gone through phases of being populated then being empty. No doubt in my mind it'll pick up after the switch to GO if not before. Sent from outer space

Well we don't have wardens on the server either. Anyone can give orders at any time whether they have a mic or not. You must work it out as a team. Yes, it can become complicated but it makes it more challenging for the CTs. You can't force the T's to play deathgames either which is what you would be doing by telling them to LR or they will die. The rounds don't get delayed that frequently unless it is a player that has never played in the server before. The current situation really works out well and better than most people think when they first try out our PB server. The servers rules have been kinda standard for awhile now and has been very popular amongst the community and new members.

Both. Both the Ts and CTs do not have to do a LR. So a T can request a knife fight but a CT doesn't actually have to do the knife fight. Situations like this happen probably 1% of the time. It is very rare that these two people can't agree on an LR and perform it quickly.

It's not so much about the rounds being stalled. It is more about LRs being voluntary. We don't force deathgames so we do not force LRs either since it is essentially a deathgame. The two members must agree on an LR. It sounds kinda dumb but honestly it usually works out pretty quickly and people rarely deny a LR.

No. But I kinda stopped playing PB myself. I don't really know why exactly but I am definitely down to get it populated. Unfortunately for like the next 2 weeks my time is extremely limited with my new job but after that I will be around a lot more!

Not sure why you would do that but yes it is still a burger. What would you call it if you had no bun or bread or anything? Just meat? It's like saying a hot dog is only a hot dog when the actual meat is in the hot dog bun. A hot dog is still a hot dog without a bun. Therefore a burger is still a burger without the bun.

It's a burger patty meaning if you want bacon you say on the burger. You don't say in because the bun and everything else isn't the burger. You can eat a burger without a bun. Therefore it is on. Sent from outer space

I think widgets are huge plus for me. I love being able to see any information I want right on my home screen without actually opening up the app. Extremely useful. I will be getting the s5 in just a couple weeks and I absolutely cannot wait! I had the chance to play around with it and really liked it. Sent from outer space

It'll be interesting what Apple comes up with. The iPhone 6 is being called the most anticipated apple product yet. They're gonna have to come up with something big because they have kinda slacked the last couple years and have taken a lot of criticism. I'm excited to see what they come up with even though I'm more of an android fan. Sent from outer space

Yeah the USB slot supports the old chargers still. But I'm glad you found what is best for you because that all of these phones have great qualities. I went and tried the phones last week and plan to go with the S5. I never understood the build quality concern mainly because I usually have a case on the phone anyway. I also like that the phone lightweight and you have the ability to swap batteries. I understand that it's not for everyone though! Sent from outer space

I an Android/Google fan so I show a lot more bias towards those devices than iPhones. Obviously you stated you didn't want an iPhone so that helps significantly. I currently own a Galaxy S2 and I love it but the time has finally come where it is extremely outdated and I have an upgrade coming in mid-May. Personally I think I will go with the S5. I have also heard great things about the M8 and I do not know anyone who has a G2 but I heard those are very nice as well. I previously owned an HTC back in the day and didn't really like it that much. This was a couple years ago and there were great reviews about the One so things may have changed now. Nexus wouldn't be a bad selection if you are into the pure Android experience. As for August I am not really sure what is expected then. There are several rumors currently about a Galaxy F series that it supposed to be more of a premium build along with the Moto X2 and LG G3. These are all rumored and there are not dates set for release and it's always hard to speculate when the phones are actually going to be released exactly. It honestly comes down to going to the store and trying out the phones. You can read a 1,000 reviews and experiences about each phone and not really come to a decision. I highly suggest trying out every phone that you can in combination with reading reviews to make sure there are no major deficiencies with the phone itself. This way you can find the phone that works best for you because all of these phones have different experiences from one another. Personally I am a features guy which is why I like the Galaxy series so much but not everyone prefers that.

I agree with this fellas statement. There are about 10 guns on the map with zero ammo and about 3 tight floors of awfulness. It is a cancer to the server.

We used to have this on the server a couple years back. It was awful because the CTs would send the Ts to one side of the map then camp the middle with awps and that would be the round. It is a tight map and hard for CTs to actually give orders because of all the corners. Then the secret room was discovered and lead to another camp fest. Not to mention it was very easy to rush armory. Surprisingly I enjoyed this map but it really was not a good choice for our server population.
