I'd really like to travel a little bit. Haven't been to many places yet in my lifetime but I think that I would most likely go to Italy. Trying to plan a trip to Las Vegas though too and would love to spend a weekend out there.

I believe they auto open at 3:30. The maps are set up to auto open 60 seconds after the round start because every server runs different round times. But I agree. Everything is fine. It was even reduced to 4:30 to help save some wasted time. Unless pb has drastically changed in the last two weeks the rounds times have been set perfectly.

Looks a lot like rooftops or at least the same idea but wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

I forget why this was removed but I honestly hated this map. It was very CT sided I thought because the orders would generally be freeday no outside then you'd have cts camp with awps outside basically waiting to pick people trying to come out.

I'd also like to add that with the new admin system I think you're going to see more people get accepted through the system and an increase and the amount of enforcement through the servers. Thus making this unnecessary along with the other points mentioned in the thread.

Also the secret room is very annoying when the Ts can easily just use teleporters and continually reload on knives or anything they want without gaining credits. Everyone is slowly starting to find out how to gain access to the room and a simple google search is an easy way to figure it out as well. Just way too T sided. Honestly v3 is still the best and will probably remain that way.

Even though I don't use a mic I still sit in the servers and I definitely prefer TS3 over vent. It just seems a lot easier to use in my opinion. I also think the sound quality is better. This may be just on my end but the sound quality in Vent for me was awful. I completely understand why it was decided not to switch last time. While I would love to see a switch there just aren't any solid features that outweigh what we have now. I have no clue how long it would take to transfer all the bans and user settings but I'd imagine it wouldn't be easy when switching between two clients. Basically I am for it but I understand why we wouldn't change.

I don't see how this is personal. It is a human characteristic that you don't seem to have. Which is pretty much proven by you not being able to wait a minute. The reason I feel sorry is because if you can't wait one minute you can't wait for anything then. Patience is a virtue. So this isn't a personal attack on you at all I say it to anyone that isn't patient so don't think I am trying to attack you in anyway. You are taking what I am saying and thinking that I am implying things when i'm not. I'm simply giving you suggestions to do to make the time pass and that is it. But it doesn't really matter because this rule won't change. If anyone is taking a shitty tone it is you. I rarely get into arguments but you are taking our thoughts and opinions as to why this shouldn't be added and basically taking them as personal attacks against you. From what I have seen it's like anyone that doesn't think this rule should be added, which is everyone so far besides yourself, is attacking you and has a shitty tone. We even had members try to help you by giving you suggestions and you simply turned them down and even called us out for thinking that delaying is fun when that isn't the case but instead don't feel that this is an issue. You stated your opinion, we stated ours and you think we are attacking you when in reality we are just explaining why this isn't going to work. That's all that I did. That was my original input and you overlooked it because it didn't align with your views. It's not that we think it's great to drag out 60 seconds but because it would cause so many more issues. Here is my last input and I am done. This is why it would be an issue: 1. We don't force deathgames and an LR is a deathgame. 2. It is only 60 seconds. It's not a long time and I never hear anyone complaining about it. 3. There is going to be an issue with a T requesting an LR and the CT not wanting to perform that LR or participate in any LRs. 4. If you are just going to kill the last T then you run into issues of CTs camping or who gets to kill the last T. 5. If you want to use a chair or some other forced death through the map not all maps have autokill zones and I myself may not want a T to travel all that distance with potential guns lying around and what not. 6. If you want to fix the delaying, like I mentioned earlier, teach the newer players what LRs are because that is probably 95% of the delaying is new players not knowing what an LR is. I have stated all this already throughout the thread as my input but I put it all here so you can see that we have given our opinions and we didn't just make this a personal attack against you because we disagree with your opinion. And with that I believe I have said all that I need to say so just gonna end it there.

That is actually quite ignorant. People are offering you valid solutions to speed up 1 minute of time and you ignore them because you don't do this, or this, or that. You become chatty by making friends, in order to do that talk to people. Read a book, do a chore, exercise, check the forums, stretch, do something. Once again this is an issue that is literally a minute long! It takes you longer to write this post than it does for you to wait. This also rarely even happens. We don't need another rule just so we can satisfy something that happens like 5% of the time if not less. Nobody claimed you were stupid what I said was you are making up excuses to not use your time more efficiently and that you are impatient if you can't sit still for a minute. While we don't make up the population the people I see posting in here so far are regulars and so far has not bothered them. My point is that this is something that happens so rarely and is so short that there is no need for a rule for it. There may not have been many rules back then but unfortunately we have a ton now and we don't need to fix something that isn't broken. I have a feeling you'd have difficulty playing TTT when they have to sit around watching a T not doing anything for 5 minutes sometimes. Rarely do I see someone as last T turn down an LR. If they do maybe they are just bad at LRs and don't want to participate in one that is suggested from a CT. Once again this is just such a rare occurrence when there is a last T and they deny an LR. If anything this happens because they are new players and don't know what LRs are. In that case that is where you teach the person how to play or what an LR is and they are most likely going to be willing after that point. By the time the LR is usually committed anyway the minute is almost gone. So essentially what you are trying to do is speed up a round by 30-45 seconds. Which to me is not necessary at all. If you have a player that types they will type which LR followed by who with. Unless it is a KF then that LR takes time to set up. Deagle toss or S4S can be a pain when nobody has available Deagles to pass to the T. That takes more time to run to armory and get one. By the time this is all through you have saved probably 30 seconds of time. Going back to my previous post, what happens if they are the last CT and don't want to perform that LR? Then you have to walk them to the chair? Some maps do not have autokills so then you have to have a kill hungry CT kill that last remaining T and then you get into camping issues, rank whoring, etc. Honestly I see more rules and problems resulting from adding a rule like this than leaving it as is.

Honestly what this comes down to is you personally having an issue with it versus the entire server population not minding at all. I play PB a lot. Obviously not recently since I am away at school and can't but when I can I play PB so I do know this happens like 5% of the time. If you can't be patient for 1 whole minute I feel bad for you. You seem to be making excuses here while people are giving your valid alternatives for making time go faster. You could read a book as well. No alt-tab required. Read a page a minute and in that 15 minute time span you have 15 pages down. 60 pages in an hour. That is pretty productive. A. What if it is 1 v 1? Now you have an issue with the CT not having a choice. B. Then if I am CT I am going to deny every LR choice by a T until he plays the one that I want so I can win. This in the end is just going to waste the time anyway. C. So who gets the kill the last T? Just a rank hungry CT that is going to camp while his other teammates do the work then he comes out just to kill the last T? Like I said earlier if you can't be patient for a maximum of 4 minutes I feel very sorry for you. Heck I used to do chores while I was dead or find something else productive. One minute is really short and what it comes down to is just being patient. There is a rank system and one that a lot of people seem to care about for some reason. I wonder the same thing as to why anyone would care but people do. Not to beat a dead horse here but honestly it comes down to it being literally one minute and for the enjoyment of the playerbase. The object is to rebel but you can't force Ts to rebel so if one player doesn't like to rebel it is his/her choice. The rules are perfectly fine as they are. The last thing PB needs is another rule....

This is because we don't force CTs to accept any LR. If a T was forced to do an LR then it would force CTs to perform an LR as well. This would in return prevent some users from rebelling because they would want an LR that they know they could win just to kill a CT. The rules are fine and I see this rarely happening anyway. The rounds aren't that long as well.

There is no polling system. It is just used to discuss the applications and no votes. The higher ups will end up either rejecting or accepting based upon feedback. Personally I don't mind it. I know back when I was applying I kind of wanted to see what people thought and maybe what I could improve on. The only issue I see is people getting mad at one another for their comments but honestly I think that just comes down to maturity and understanding that people are saying it to be constructive instead of attacking the member. Obviously I think the credibility of the member trying to just vouch for friends will be taken into consideration. I would think the higher the rank of the person applying the more credibility they would probably receive. Not that lower ranks won't have any but you catch my point. EDIT: Caution beat me to it...

I wouldn't mind this at all. I usually will join a server when called upon anyway so I wouldn't mind something like this as long as it isn't spammed.

Unfortunately the time has come when I have to throw out some money on a new laptop. Since i am currently in college I am looking strictly for laptops because I travel a lot as well. Even though I travel I am not concerned with battery life much because I still have the ability to charge as I go. I don't know much about computers from a specs stand point so I guess what I'm looking for is some advice on what to look for. I have always enjoyed HP laptops and I have a lot of friends who like Asus. So I guess my question is really what to look for in a new laptop in a price range of at a maximum of about $800. I would really prefer around the range of $500-700 though.

Unfortunately my schools internet does not allow me to play since I would have like an 800 ping with the terrible WiFi around here. But everyone is saying the same thing about how "retarded" people are. Now I haven't been able to play in the last month (but should be on next weekend!) but I can definitely say that there have always been these "retarded" people on the server. What I am seeing is people calling the player base out but not really providing a solution or to try to get rid of them. Instead of just quitting the server in general because of the player base just try to improve it by explaining to others the rules and how the game is really played. If they clearly don't grasp that concept then they are really in trouble. From my experiences on the server a lot of the retardedness comes from lack of knowledge on how to play and the misconception of the rules. I see a lot of lack of consistency between the rulings that other players make up and it causes many problems. The rules in general aren't the problem but the players that spew out false rulings to new players make the game much more difficult for others that play the right way and ruins the game when those rules get passed along. So yes, there are a lot of retarded kids in the server I agree but instead of just giving up on the server how about trying to fix it by explaining to the new players on how to actually play correctly? As for the maps I know I have made a couple to try and change up the regular rotation. Now I actually have yet to play my map on the server because it was added after I went to school so I know I have to fix a few things when I get the chance. The problem with new maps being added is everyone wants them but then they are never played because a lot of people are stuck with just playing razor. It has been brought up several times before but the majority of the population, at least over the summer, loved playing razor and razor based maps because it is what they knew how to play. New maps struggle because the CTs and Ts don't know the maps and are unsure where the secrets are so they don't know how to rebel. That shouldn't be the case but it unfortunately is. SOOOOO basically after my ramblings my point is to fix the retardedness by explaining the rules better to the newer players and to get players to adapt to newer maps.
