I still play GG on a daily basis. I would love SG to have a GG server again.. just don't see it happening anytime soon.

For some reason I have been known to be anti-Apple. And I would still highly recommend an iPhone The one Apple product that I will vouch for is the iPhone 3Gs. I am one of those that had constant disconnect problems with AT&T and poor signal. I have a relative that works for AT&T and found out the the problem I was running into was that there were too many 3G customers for AT&T's network in my area. With the iPhone when I am in the area that there are problems I can have the phone fall back to the Edge network and no longer drop calls. There are a wide variety of apps and many of them free. I have used a G1 before and prefer the iPhone to it. I have also used windows mobile based phones and have to say there is nothing worse than having to reboot your phone almost daily. So the iPhone get's a big As for 4G don't expect it too soon because the network just isn't in place in most places and there really isn't a point to having a 4G based phone that is primarily used on a 3G network. I wouldn't consider it a reason to wait. You could always sell the 3Gs and upgrade when the network can handle it.

This is very much like the Mac vs. PC debate. Each browser has it's pros and cons and which you should use over another will come down to what you use your browser for. In some a lot of cases you will need more than one.

A co-working ordered one last week. It's not here yet, however if you want me to do a quick review on performance, fps, features, etc. I can when it get's here. One drawback that I can see (personal opinion) just based on specs is that there is no option for a built in CD/DVD drive, you have to go external. And I hate carrying extra shit with me when I'm already carrying a laptop. I'll let you know more once it gets here.

Nope I am about 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. And they appear to have fixed the issues with my DSL. They ended up having to replace the DSLAMbut after that it seems fine. As for alternatives. Utah doesn't have many. I can go Wireless = lag fest, DSL (current ISP) or Cable which is a shared 7Mbps connection. Everyone that uses the cable here complains and it's more expensive. So I'm screwed. I have the fastest I can get here for now.

I agree fully with this. One of my favorite GG servers (now that SG doesn't have one) almost always has a few admins on, but they almost never use their admin commands. The admin commands should be treated as a tool that is only used when needed. Not the go to whenever you are bored. As for some of the comments about "new admins/apprentices" I wish it were only them, however this problem is with long time admins as well.

I have a tendency to tea-bag people after shooting them. I never used to desecrate the corpses.

Borrow a card from a friend and test to see if it is the card. Sounds like a hardware problem, since you've tried drivers etc.

Says the guy who comes from a country that the US stomped on..... What was the score of that game?... Oh.. yeah.. I remember now. 6-1 As for the Canada USA Gold Medal game. As much as I would have liked to see the US win that game.... At least they made a good show for themselves. They made Canada work for it. It was a great game to watch, both teams played well and represented their countries well, can't ask for much more than that. At least it wasn't a blowout.

I now have all 3 consoles. Each has it's pro's and con's. It really depends on what you want it for.

NO. At least in my case. I used/use video games to vent my violent tendencies in a positive way. Had I not been able to release my anger/violent emotions through video game I probably would have ended up in the new & not in a good way.

As for your Mom.. Let her know that quite a few of use hold down full time jobs. In my case I have a full time+ job year-round. Work a part time job during the summer and have multiple contract jobs that I work periodically. (Somehow I still find time to post here and play games) I also have 2 kids and a wife that want my time to be spent on them. That being said. Yes there can be an addiction factor to video games. (some types are more addictive than others) There is a really good book that talks a lot about video games and addiction that shows both sides called "Everything bad is good for you." I would highly recommend you look it up.

I was always a self starter.. Why watch it when you can star in it?
