I have used various cards over the last 10 years from both manufacturers and every time I have used ATI I have regretted it. I have yet to regret the purchase of an NVidia card.

Every time someone bumps this thread my DSL dies.. Please for the sake of my connection don't bump this anymore. (seriously my home connection is down again FML!)

When he left Utah his contract had only 2 outs.. and that was either Florida or Notre Dame. From the rumors.. (who knows how accurate) he was offered both at the time. The man made enough from the first few years w/Florida to be set for a long long time. He'll go where he can make the most and/or where he wants to live the most. His reasons are most likely personal. They may be career minded or possible family minded. Hell I live farther away from where I work because the schools are better for my kids here.

Linksys is relatively inexpensive and reasonable as far as reliability. Also when it comes to support.. having both the router and the card be from the same manufacturer makes it so if you have to call support they can't just tell you to call the other company.

make/buy a longer ethernet cable. purchase a wireless card for the older desktop and go wireless..

They are about 20 minutes from my house. I use their indoor range for target practice from time to time. I'll have to check one out next time I'm there.

Ok.. so here we go.. As for Fantasy the list is enourmous but we'll start with a few... Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card Mistborn -Brandon Sanderson (he is finishing the wheel of time series R.I.P. Robert Jordan) Wheel of Time series - Robert Jordan (Eye of the World is the first book) OtherLand - Tad Williams (this is a hybrid sci-fi/fantasy and very good) 4 books 800+ pages each) Horror The Bachman Books - 4 books in one written by Stephen King under the pseudonym Richard Bachman) Anything by Robert McCammon - Favorites = Swan Song, They Thirst (FUCK TWILIGHT), Baal, Wolf's Hour. Usher's Passing = takes The Fall of the House of Usher to a new level. That ought to give you a good start. It's sad that you consider books too long to read, I dare say it's to your detriment. As for how I do it I spend about 2 -3 hours a day on trains and buses going to and from work. Sure on occasion I'll watch a movie or surf the web from my laptop. But most of the time I read. I find it relaxing. I'm currently reading "The Making of America, The substance and Meaning of the Constitution" and am finding it quite interesting. I've never done this before but I'm going to quote myself from a few posts back on this one...

Are you serious.. if you've read any quality fantasy you would realize that Paulini is a hack. He poorly plagiarizes from decent authors, and lacks anything new to offer. Now back to topic: I read a ton.. I would say approx 3-4 full length novels a week. (on a good week) But before I randomly start recommending books.. what genre are you looking for? Horror, Fantasy, Historical fiction, non-fiction etc? What are some of your interests. A few of the books mentioned are quite good, IE: World War Z, The Stand, etc. However, if you respond to my questions I'll try to put together a list that suites your interests/genre of literature.

I'm glad to see us give TF2 another shot. 32 Players is a must and a small rotation is in the end better.

He's 12 go easy on him. Not everyone was working in a sweat shop at the age of 12. It's admirable that he wants to contribute. I'll leave it at that.

Pasted from my post in the admin section...... Here's my take on it.. There's more than one problem here. If you lie about anything, be it your age, sex, exploits in "Teh real world", etc... and you get caught you lose all credibility. Meaning that now no one here can trust what you say. This isn't their fault, your lie however small caused you to lose credibility and the trust of most of the people here. Rage at them all you want, but after all you are the one that put yourself in this situation. The reason this & the other thread just like it has brought out the "hate" is that by lying about serving in the armed forces you disrespect and spit in the faces of all those who are legitimately serving. You mock everyone that is out there risking their lives for your safety and comfort. You can't honestly expect to do something like that and not have it come back to haunt you. If you don't get that then you lack common sense. /end rant To all those that ARE serving in the armed forces I thank you.
