Why is this more tragic than the death of someone less known or poorer? Sure it's tragic, but why is this newsworthy and the death of the father of 4 who works his ass off every day to try to provide a middle income life with a modicum of comfort for his family isn't? Either way RIP Chris!

Most of the stories posted on both sites are made up bullshit. That being said they can be funny at times.

It's a matter of preference. I like the 7 interface better, but if you don't then great revert to the old. I think it was the misleading title that had people wanting to put you in your place. By no means is reverting to an older taskbar/quicklaunch in any way, shape, or form "Making Win7 into XP's Bitch". Quite a few people reverted XP's start menu to the winNT/2k style start menu because it was "different" or not as "good" was that making XP NT's Bitch? Simply put NO! If you would have put this same thread with the same information out there as a tip to revert the taskbar/quicklaunch for those who preferred the old style you would have had quite a different reaction.

I'm not the only one that had the misfortune of working in OS/2 WARP! When I worked for IBM they wanted us to use it since it was their OS. What a steaming pile of shite. The first programing I did was on punch cards. I won't try to list the progression of OS's I've had to work on/support I'm too damn lazy.

Same here. Lefty, kick w/the left, snow/skateboard goofy foot. However I use my mouse with my right hand. I also have to second what Lux said .. in that some of you are full of shit when you voted ambidextrous. They should have made the poll a public poll so we can see what people voted.

The problem is that the list of applications that will take advantage of all 4 cores is not that large. (or at least the last time I looked into it) which to be honest was quite some time ago. When I bought my proc (E8400) in most applications it was out performing the 2.4Ghz Quad Core. So it really depends I haven't regretted buying the E8400 yet.

I use AudioBooks while I'm working, mowing the lawn etc. and can't read. They really vary in quality and depend a lot on the production and how well the person reading can voice act. In some cases a bad reader can ruin a good book. Let me know what you're into and I'll put together a list of books for you to check out.

How old are you? I get the feeling you're not that well read. Or at least haven't been exposed to a decent selection. There are hundreds of authors that are far superior to Clancy. I didn't say he's terrible by any means. Hell I even listed a few of his books that I enjoyed. All I said was that I find his books very formulaic. As for naming better authors.. Where to begin... Robert Ludlum, Orson Scott Card, Robert Jordan, Tad Williams, Clive Cussler, Robin Cook, Michael Crichton, James Clavell, Robert McCammon etc. etc. Pick a genre! Because I could go on forever.. I don't know how much you read but I would suggest trying to broaden your selection.

I've read quite a few Tom Clancy books and my problem with them remains the same.. They are very formulaic and there are much better authors out there that i'd rather read. If I had to pick it would be either "The Bear and the Dragon" or "Red Rabbit" Look at item 4 and you will see the "Tom Clancy Plot Generator" the sad part is that it works and could be used for any Tom Clancy book or movie. http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=five_shitty_movies
