Much like Caution... I never stop going to school. It's year round with at the most a week off. My employer pays the bill so I don't stress the tuition costs. If it weren't for the tests and some of the more ridiculous writing assignments I would go to school until they kicked me out.

Apparently Charizard... Kinda weird questions, some of them make sense, some are just random.

He asked both, if anyone owned them, or had funny stories... The thing is I can give you shitty/somewhat funny anecdotes about any hardware manufacturer... Everyone's experiences are different.

We've had several Alienware laptops at work over the years. 1 - They are overpriced. 2 - Except for 1 of them they were all good reliable laptops. 3 - They are heavy as fuck. Don't buy them for portability ever. 4 - Now that they are owned by Dell their support has been far easier to deal with than ASUS or MSI have ever been. I have mixed feelings about them. Personally I won't buy a laptop for gaming. I'll stick with desktops for gaming and keep my laptops slim, light, and for work/movies.

Of course every good community needs the ornery old guy that will yell things like "Get off my lawn!" and say things like "Back in my day..." That sucks! I had a few thoughts reading this. 1st - Many moons ago when I was a we child my father told me that when you drive your job isn't simply controlling your vehicle, but compensating for the fact that no one else out there will properly control theirs. No you aren't to blame, and no you can't prevent the douchbagery (I'm sure that's a word) of others. But sometimes you can lessen the damage and/or avoid a wreck by anticipating their ineptitude. This is by no means saying that this was your case, just simply pointing out that even pre-texting ignorant fucks don't pay attention to what they should when behind the wheel. 2nd - This is 2 times now you've had an SW2 get hit/nearly hit by a dumbass, maybe the SW2 is cursed? Just a thought.

I have used every version of Windows since 3.11 That being said Vista and 8.1 are not anywhere near as bad as ME was (The biggest steaming pile of shit ever made). If you're looking for what to install I would say go with Win 10 at this point. I still haven't bothered upgrading to 10 from one of my 8.1 laptops and once you know how to navigate 8.1 it really isn't that bad. It's just not intuitive. There is a lot of bandwagon bullshit when it comes to which versions to hate on. As far as I can see there really isn't a solid reason not to install Win10.

The problem with being at the top is that others will either try to imitate you or try to bring you down. Thanks for the transparency on this issue. Your work is appreciated.

The method you use to ask them is far less important than actually building a rapport with the admin so that they will want to recommend you. Get to know the admins and then how you ask becomes unimportant.

We have both here at work for a research project. Having played around with them I would never purchase the Oculus. The setup is far more problematic and the HTC Vive is just a much better experience. We have ordered the latest revisions (pre public release) of both for the project I could let you know how they turn out once we get them in, but based on hands on experience I would stick with the Vive.
