  1. Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthdays!
  2. Going to court.

That sucks.. I had my tags expired for 11 months.. I got a fine.. but as long as I renewed them prior to going to court I only had to pay $50 of the fine. If he won't drop it shoot for a reduction. 2 days past due is nothing.. Usually they give a 30 day grace period.
  3. A bored Red Tampon

  6. You can try to remove it.. but in a lot of cases a format is inevitable.. I use Malware Bytes anti-malware tool it works for most things. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php A couple of recommendations once you do get your machine either cleaned or re-formatted. Don't use an administrator account for daily use. Use a standard account and only login or use "run as" when you need an administrative account. This will cut down on the amount of things that are able to attack your machine. Always use a password. I have seen rootkits and other attacks that look for an account with elevated privileges that don't have a set password and then use that to disable anti-virus, install spyware etc. And back your shit up.. especially if it is important for work or personal use. If you can't afford to lose it, keep it in more than one location. There is a free service for up to 2GB & for personal use for only $5/per month you can up that to unlimited. You might want to check out. https://mozy.com/home Whatever route you decide to take.. Good luck.
  7. If they know what they are doing at your work your machine has a BIOS password to prevent you from booting from CD.. (that's not to say there aren't ways around that, but you've really got to want it)
  8. I love the idea of cross platform play.. Not sure how feasible it would be.. but I know Sony won't work with the other vendors so it's not likely to happen. I watched a History Channel special on video games.. and LOL'd when they talked about the fact that prior to the release of the PS1.. Nintendo had asked Sony to develop a CD Drive for their next gen console. Sony started the work.. and then after "contract disputes" decided to keep the system for themselves and later release the PlayStation. The rest is history. I just purchased my first console in years.. (by just purchase I mean I bought it Saturday night) I had a very very hard time deciding which way to go. I have 2 young children and all reviews said.. that for Kids buy a Wii. But the Gamer in me said.. I wanted a PS3. After all the pro's and con's were weighed out I ended up buying an Xbox. Sony seems to not care what their fans think.. They essentially neutered the current versions of the PS3. As of Aug 07 any new PS3's no longer have any backwards compatibility with PS2/1 games. They have 2 instead of 4 usb ports, and they have dropped the Flash port. Not to mention the price tag. There are pro's to the PS3.. but by dropping the backwards compatibility they have made it a system unsuitable for small kids. I have been disappointed by Sony products in the past, and yet again.. they made the decision for me. My wife was opposed to me spending that kind of money and when I looked for titles that the kids could get into I was surprised at how few there were. Don't get me wrong I play the PS3 about once a week at my brother-in-laws house. And I quite enjoy WarHawk and Restitance 1 & 2. But was not willing to pay $600 for a used PS3 to be able to be backwards compatible and have the features I was looking for.
  9. In about as simple terms as possible.. It allows you to re-write the password file for Windows XP/2000 You boot from a linux based CD. And then either blank out or replace the password for the user you select. If someone forgets the Administrator password for a system this becomes very useful.
  10. Been using a version of that for years.. It comes in handy quite often.

  14. As is my habit.. I will try this out on a spare machine I have here at work. I'm not expecting miracles.. nor will I jump to purchase any OS the second it goes retail. But will keep an open mind as far as migrating to the OS once it's established.
