I used to play it a TON back around 04-05 and it was awesome, I downloaded it again like last year and it just didn't seem as fun anymore. I wouldn't be averse to trying it again though, I never did take any time to get good with the new melee system so that might've been part of it.

Yeah and even if we do somehow run out (which won't happen, there's more IPv4 addresses than computers to use them at any given time, unless 80% of the world suddenly decides to get a computer and all log on at the same time with no routers involved), we'll just switch over to IPv6.

There's a couple neat new advances in medical technology that are still in the works,like replacing someone's blood with cold saline to preserve them until they can get medical attention where they would normally just die on the battlefield; they did kept a dog on ice for like six hours and successfully revived it after. *E* found the article, haven't heard anything about it since though I don't want to live on a terraformed planet, it would kind of defeat the purpose. Ion thrusters are old news, they've been used in satellites since the 70s. They're slow but efficient, not really what's needed for a manned mission to a far away planet. You can't use them on earth either, because they require an environment free of other ions to work. I would like to live on mars.

That's not a very good comparison, because there's no reason WHY 2 is normal. Appearing the most doesn't make it normal, it makes it the mode of the set. The overwhelming majority of people in the world are the same in a number of ways, you can make a pretty reliable set of criteria to determine what is "normal." - Normal people don't seek out pain or mutilate themselves solely for pleasure (eg. stabbing yourself in the stomach). - Normal people follow the law most of the time. - Normal people have social relationships with other people. - Normal people don't get a boner at the thought of someone pooping in their mouth. - Etc. If there was no baseline of "normal" then there would be no way to define "abnormal," for instance psychological disorders.

Again you're trying to define normal in the context of a subset of the population and not the entire population. It's like saying it's not normal to be missing 30% of your skin unless you're in a burn ward, then it's totally normal, or it's normal to be schizophrenic if you're around a bunch of schizophrenics.

Not really, there's just the wrong one and the right one. The people who say things like "you can't normal is different for everyone" are usually the ones that revel in being so different from everyone else and proudly display it on their $30 black shirt, but then when someone laughs at them for being different they go cry in their blog about how normal is different for everyone and why oh why do people have to make fun of them? Normal, by definition, has to be defined in the context of society. That's where all the qqbabies get it wrong when they go on about "zomg what is normal anyway"...if you do something most people don't do, it's not a normal behavior.
