  1. Just to throw out you do realise that most of the world has sane copyright laws and as a forum you guys cant be held responsible for other people's comments, plus even in america as crazy as we've gotten you can't get in trouble just for DISCUSSING illegal activities. At least if you're not in an airport. So you don't quite need to worry so much about anything happening to you unless your hosting says "STFU"
  2. Check SVC.
  3. PC Showroom

Specs: Q9450 @3.2ghz EVGA GTX 260 core 216 TRUE w/ Noctua fans (bleh, they move NO air) 2x2gb OCZ Reaper Many random large hdds Asus P5k-E All in a Coolermaster 830 Evo fulltower (enormous case) and running with a G15, G5, and two monitors: IBM P260 running 1600x1200 @85hz and an HP Mx705 running 1024x768 @85hz A while ago before I gave up hope on getting the tube fixed so I had the p260 (21 incher) next to a 110lb 24incher.
  4. Dolphin diving might be going away but the prone-roll's hitbox problems and wonky animations will probably still be there. Claymore diving will probably still be the best way to take out enemies as a sniper too. And tanks dont easily destroy APCs. The tank can pop smoke and try to run away inbetween reloads but APCs can do the same AND use their superior maneuverability to keep up firing their Pwn-cannons while also handguiding missiles onto the tank.
  5. Doesn't matter. The tanks are fine, the jets are a little overpowered vs infantry and ground armor, but the APCs and helicopters are just whorishly overpowered and have little to fear from anything. Trying to take down an air vehicle from the ground or kill an APC in anything but another apc (or a VERY lucky/sneaky specops) is almost pointless.
  6. ^^^ Overheating videocards or bad drivers can cause this and a number of other graphical artifacts. Spybot search and destroy ftw.
  7. Buy real headphones and a seperate mic, TRUST ME ON THIS. If you're not doing that though just think logically. Anything USB will be worse than anything that plugs into your soundcard (less digital/analog and back translations too). Anything that markets itself with special features as in a "gaming" headset and the like is probably worse than it's non-gaming counterpark. Anything claiming "surround" sound is either outright lying or they actually did cram 5 sets of ipod-earbuds into the casing of a regular set of headphones, either way it's too physically close to your head to work and the latter will sound... like 5 sets of shitty tiny earbuds in a plastic box. Sennheiser ftw, audio technica ftw.
  8. And mechwarrior games.
  9. Probably l4d and tf2 if you want to stick with SGers.
  10. And the first church of Bro! Bringing you salvation in the name of the Skank, The Stank, and the Holy Choad. Communion is with protein/musclemilk and soy bars, the holy gesture is the shocker, and our pope wears a hat shaped like a jagerbomb. Priests look something like an oompah loompah with a fried onion on it's head.
  11. I used W and S for throttle, A and D for the rudder (along with mouseleft and right), and Q/E to roll left and right. It worked great in Bf1942 which was imho the only battlefield game that actually had any decent fking balance to it.
  12. Mouse for infantry, joystick for air.
  13. Isohunt was the metacrawler to piratebay's google.
  14. Drivers/windows should let you use the joystick transparently, just bind keys the same way you do everything else in the options menu.
  15. Mouses

If you don't know what I meant consider yourself lucky because the less you know the happier you will be.
  16. Mouses

    BTARD ALERT!
  17. Everything is compatible with everything else right now and if you can plug it in to the slot that way and it isn't labelled for something else you've probably put it where it's supposed to be. If you get a good PSU from corsair or PC P&C and similar companies (which you should, they're cheaper than bad ones anyway) then the plugs will even be labelled "PCIE" and "CPU" for you.
  18. The 20+4 you don't want to bend too much anyway because then it plugs in while putting pressure on the socket and it's got some SERIOUS weight behind it. My case is actually kinda a cable nightmare but mostly cause I use beefy cables that don't like bending. For the most part I just ziptie them so that they hold themselves in places that don't block airflow because I like being able to see them and have them out in the open. If I wanted to hide them though I've got a CMstacker 830 evo so I could just route them behind the motherboard tray and have them come out of the crosswise slot. The problem with that is that my method lets me actually use the removeable motherboard tray's ability to slide out and if I hid them or routed them funny I wouldn't have all that slack to use when it's heatsink/fan cleaning time. Outside the computer... I need to work on that. That I just use the shortest cables possible and then just try to have them running parallel without looping through each other. It's a mess atm though because for once all our stuff is in one spot rather than spread across the apartment.
  19. I think that's some wierdass custom shader that some servers download to your comp or something, I don't have that. As for the fisheye lense effect... nobody i know enjoys it but i think it's hardcoded into zombiemod since I haven't seen a server without that ever.
  20. Except for AMD which just can't seem to get it right lately, they keep coming out with processors that aren't competitive in power usage, performance, OR price.
  21. That, and the rumor that they're not that great for gaming are both pure bullshit. A single i7 core is better than a single Q9000 core which is better than a single Q6000 cure which is better than a single Pentium core.
  22. Yep, I figured you had your reasons for picking most of your non-core components the way you did so I just swapped those out for better and suprisingly less expensive parts. The only differences are a different corsair psu, an nvidia graphics card that gets the same perf, and a better cpu with more ram.
  23. Did you even read my post? That was something I made for you and linked to IN MY POST. If you're going to ask for advice it would help if you actually read the posts people make. Seagate and WD are both good drives. It's musical maxtor's you need to watch out for. And take up the wierdass 80-500 config with Regionals, I've always preferred Jbod's to RAID arrays for simplicity and just having all games and stuff installed on one primary drive with a seperate partition for the OS while using the other drives as storage. It's not idiot proof but it's harder for idiots to tamper with and suprisingly robust.
  24. Didn't we just have a nice really long thread about this and concluded that core i7 920 was the best bet...
  25. Except that both of those lose hard to their intel/nvidia counters even when you take AMD-ATI's lower prices into account. Phenom II's are barely below par with the Q9450 that I use in most benchmarks and yet still cost more than a years old processor.
