Understandable Frost, although pub games are quite fun too. You get more of a chance to make stategies with your friends because most of the time you are playing against people who don't know each other. Even if you lose you can learn from the loss, theres always people out there who are better and whilst I don't like losing if I get beaten by better players I sometimes do what they did and see what happens. Some people go further and record replays and watch them. I don't but if you want to look back at what happened and see what you did wrong and what you can improve on its a great tool to have.

Just as a starter, considering that I've beaten Tinker in 1v1 I would consider myself as good/better. At the start I wasn't as good but with the will to be better you will get better, no doubt about it. The main thing I saw in your post Venomous was the 4 17 pounders and overwatch. This is the main thing, how is it realistic that comps will just get owned by your defenses all the time? Besides that, you end up relying on another team mate to go and attack afterwards. I can imagine a 1v1 you vs bots now..........10 hours later still defending! I wouldn't say that humans are something you should be annoyed about. Everyone has their tactics, (and Dracula doesn't always do that) but its a better experience when you don't know what is going to happen next. Comp stomps are scripted, and in pvp's anything could happen. The bottom line is, if you enjoy comp stomps, especially so that you can be lazy and camp defenses, then I fail to emphasize as it seems pointless.

Exactly, its all about ME. I haven't let anything not be, or atleast I haven't done anything you haven't done. This is the thing, its turning into a competition. Potshot, I think your theory fails . I guess I was only interested in Philosophy because it was a mandatory (sadly) subject in highschool and I like talking about religion being wrong, which the teacher always seemed happy to discuss. Although when it came to exams on it.....yeah.....like I'm going to revise stuff like Christian/Islamic/Jewish (etc)'s views on marriage.

Really I don't mind people playing against bots, but when theres say 8 people which is a 4v4, its kind of depressing to find that people would rather play bots.

Yeah so....bumped this because its still happening EVERYTHING is on the lowest settings. Some nice 600x400 (or similiar) screen res and minimal graining so....looks like half life 1 or something. Yet this always comes up and crashes my L4D > Is it because I've set high CPU priority to L4D? I thought this would help the situation but, maybe its doing the opposite?
