If you're really set on doing something in gaming then this is probably the worst job of the lot, yet people are under the illusion it's the best and easiest. It's nothing like "Lol I get to sit on my sofa naked and shout at noobs all day whilst I test the new CoD". If you really want to game test then like some people have said, your best bet is getting into the journalism side or getting into the development side. You should also take into account that you don't have to do I.T. specific courses to do these kinds of jobs, yet alone gaming specific stuff. Head developer of FIFA used to be a scientist.....just do the courses that you like at school and see where it takes you..most of the time if you do good courses and get good grades you can choose from a whole host of careers.

The problem isn't how many servers we have because we always put servers up for games like CoD, Battlefield etc......the problem is populating it. People vote like 87-4 in favour of a server for a game and then when the server is bought no one plays on the server. If you want the server you've got to play on it regularly and in a good enough number.

I've seen it before.....to be fair it's not his job and it's violent conduct so he has to go off.

The general SG populace appreciate Jager....I'm sure he knows that and would actually rather not be hassled by everyone trying to show their appreciation. He purposely works behind the scenes after all.... Whilst we're all trying to remain classy, I get the feeling that Garfield and the new owners are not people Jager feels he can work with in the same way that he could with Haggard...and that is understandable. Everyone liked Haggard, but he's gone now..and I'm not surprised that higher staff are leaving....not just because all of the ownership changes but this community has been around for a long time and the community hasn't really moved forward past CSS. When you no longer play CSS (which after maybe 5+ years is understandable) then you can become alienated in this community.

In the end these bullets are actually burgers being fired straight into your mouth. Unsurprisingly you didn't resist and once they ran out of burgammunition you eat them too.

Not really. I wouldn't go and do crazy shit now if I knew I was going to die in 60 years..... In like 55 years at the very earliest I'd start thinking about it......so I'd be aiming to make the most of the time I had left rather than going and dieing prematurely.

I'd rather know when if I had to choose. We all know we're going to die eventually....I'm going to assume I'll die at an old age and I don't worry about that now so knowing exactly when won't worry me either. By the time my time to die was coming up I'd have lived life well anyway and it'd actually help me not miss out on shit before I die. If I know how I'll die I'd be paranoid Final Destination style......unless it was of old age.

Always thought you had good intentions...but didn't think you always made the right decisions, or came across the right way. Not going to blame you for that, but generally you contributed to the drama with kids instead of rising above it like a better leader would have. I wish you good luck in the future because you worked hard and kept this community afloat, but I do think this passing of ownership was the best for everyone.

Well it hasn't been working since it's been brand new...and the same can be said for my other completely unrelated computer. I don't really want to do something drastic like like that when it might not be that problem. *edit* I think the network stuff is built into the motherboard?......

This problem is really baffling me because I had the same problem on my old computer and router...and even now with a new computer and router I have the same problem.... Basically....when I plug the ethernet wire into my computer the internet doesn't work. When I plug it into the usb adapter and plug that into my computer....it works. Maybe I shouldn't care but, I think without the USB adapter I would get a better speed etc?
