Not normally......but game changing mistakes are not unusual at all. At Watford 2 seasons ago the ball across the line for a corner (so on the wrong side of the posts) 2 yards from the goal and the linesman gave a goal. It's just pathetic...FIFA are against progress and the technology that would fix this.
