  1. @Spartan I will say now that I would like people to actually , but you have to understand that the majority of the people in this community, at no offense to them, aren't that great at the game. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Most people either don't get the chance to play all the time, or play just for fun. So, while I want people to actively try to win and do their best, I wouldn't go into the tournament expecting this to be as serious as Psyonix's official tournament is going to be. At the end of the day, this is a friendly tournament amongst members of the community.
  2. Working 3-11 Sunday so I will have to miss it :/ But may I direct some of you to my video on how to record the teamspeak meetings so that it captures mic and text chat ;)
  3. Since this is something that can't be implemented, I'm going to go ahead and mark this rejected and close the thread. Thank you @Mr.Sir for the suggestion though!
  4. Now also seems like a good time to plug the rocket league group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SGrocketleague Edit: Gonna mention more peeps @Nimmy Jewtron @Aceriino @Mr.Trololo @Luke @Pan32 @batterykiller00 @Butters @Dominic @MyHobos @phantom153 @arottenpickle @SL4DE (hopefully) @Complicated @Zaraki @Frames Dropping Just went down my friends list and friends that own RL that I thought might be interested.
  5. Alrighty boys and girlsand Retro for those of you that missed it, we recently held the first ever Steam-Gamers Rocket League™ tournament. You can view the thread here. While that tournament was a lot of fun and went well (if your name is Paul), I was only left craving more. So I had the idea of doing a bigger, better tournament. I am making this thread with the intention of seeing how much interest there is in this tournament, as well as to gain feedback and maybe some ideas from the community in order to make the tournament run smoother. Right out of the gate, I will say that this tournament will be an on-going thing. It will likely take over a week to complete. I know what you might be thinking, "why that long Goku?" Well, one thing I have noticed in the past with some events such as this one, is that it is hard to get a lot of people involved in it due to time issues. And often times, someone will have to leave the event before it is over. So, to combat that, may I introduce to you my plan: We will be taking advantage of the wonderful site, http://www.challonge.com As you can see in the last tournament, http://challonge.com/sg_rocketleague1 , we were able to make teams and update the match-ups as we went. I made an example bracket that I will paste the link to down below. Basically, players will be able to sign up in the official thread. From there we can then decide based on the number of participants, if we want to do 2v2 or 3v3. We can also make an additional poll or discuss whether or not we want random teams like last time, or to let people pick their partners. We can even toy around with the idea of team captains (if we do 3v3) and do a draft of some sort. I will then throw the teams into the bracket, and shuffle the seeds aka shuffle the match-ups. From there, it is now up to the players in each match up to complete their games. The majority of match-ups will be best of 3. However, the semi-finals will be best of 5, and the finals will be best of 7 (however in the test bracket I will post, I messed up on the finals and only did best of 3). After each game, players will let me know the final scores and I will update the bracket. As you will see in the test bracket, I can post the scores from each individual game, and the bracket automatically shows you how many games won in each match-up. You can play all your games at once, or spread them out if you must. As each match-up is finished, the next round's match-ups will automatically be filled out. The tournament will be double-elimination. Meaning you must lose twice, in order to be eliminated from the tournament. So just because you lose in round one, doesn't mean you can't make a comeback and win the finals. Test Bracket Here Pictures of brackets if you have trouble accessing the site: I designed this with the intention of creating as big of a tournament as possible, in order to get more people involved and to make winning even more rewarding. I will be thinking of prizes and if anyone has any idea, feel free to suggest them. If you have any ideas or thoughts/comments on the way I'm planning this, please share them as I want to make this thing as good as possible. Hopefully there is enough interest that something like this will be able to work. I know we have a lot of Rocket League fans in this community, so hopefully we can get a nice size tournament, and maybe even convince some regulars on the servers to join the forums and be a part of this.
  6. "Maybe I have an ugly person addiction. To people like you (korean). Just wanna fuck them." - @Burger So..yeah.. Burger and Korean ship time?
  7. Just got the keys to the car, and this kid is already wanting rides....
  8. Does this mean I have to actually do shit other than rant now?
  9. Wonder if he fixed the issue in armory of the guns not showing above the buttons. Also hoping the disco isn't as loud.
  10. @WickedZealot an unholstered gun of any type is KOS. Primary, secondary and even Zeus. If it's not holstered, they can be killed for it. Obviously if they get baited and have it out for one second, you shouldn't kill them for it. But in Dominics example the T spawned in the cell, grabbed the gun and aimed it at armory. That's KOS.
  11. @Nuclear Onion Edit: Fuck the original quote, Onion really delivered this time. "just ride on it, then get shot in the face by some fgt" - @Nuclear Onion
  12. KOBE BRYANT

So...basically Tom Brady/the Patriots of the NFL? God damn you are so out of touch with the world...
  13. Tbh the difference in regards to razer, is its more balanced in that it's much easier to rebel. Everywhere but soccer offers an easy way to rebel, and even that has the vent to kitchen if you're quick enough as well as the glock in the van. This map is hard to rebel on. The teleporter behind big cage is a one time use. Don't honesty remember if CTs can use it or not. And it just teleports you to the vent which has a gun or Zeus in it depending on the round and if someone already grabbed it or not. The vent does lead to armory, and is also usually camped every round.
  14. Scrap. Both versions are horrible. Things to do that aren't deathgames: Old- Big Cage; Climb; Outside (soccer, race) New- Big Cage; Race, Second floor (Smallest pool ever, shittiest disco ever). Can we really even count big cage and race as something to do? In fairness to the old version, at least the race changed. But it still sucks. Things that suck about both maps: Lack of things to do For what limited things there are to do, the options suck. Very bland and a bit of an eye sore as 80-90% of the map is gray The stupid vent system that often has someone throwing a smoke grenade on. CT sided thanks to the limited chances to rebel and the layout of the map. Things that don't suck about both maps: The choices for deathgames/LRs is nice, when actually used. Which is rare. Given how autistic bad our CTs usually are, the fact that it is a bit easier to control is nice. To be specific about both versions: New version: Copying my response from the removal thread Old Version: Every thing I said about the old version still stands for the most part. While this version is slightly better, a polished turd is still a turd. The only real upside to this version in comparison to the new version is the reinstatement of the outside area. And the only real upside there is soccer being readded. Other than that, it's really no different than CTs telling Ts to go to the second floor on the new version. There is also the addition of the Traitor game that some people liked. But for all the time that the old spyvsspy was on the server, I only saw this game played maybe 5 times, if even that much. All in all, I would much rather see the map removed entirely. I feel like it is one of the worst maps in our rotation. However, if I had to pick one to be added, I prefer the old version.
  15. "If you are on my mid, I'm awp'ing you..." http://plays.tv/video/57144f5b8bb6cb0a13/i-am-a-man-of-my-word-teamkill @Aceriino @smiley Although to be fair, shit like this and this is exactly why I tell people to stay off my mid.
  16. Kills yourself Lol...pls. You've obviously never seen me play CT.
  17. KOBE BRYANT

    Well, I mean, not anymore.
  18. Besides what @Stunningjam suggested, you might be able to talk to @Caution and work something out. Know in the past he's traded games for subscriber before.
  19. You sure? @R3TROATTACK can you confirm?
  20. We got Mikla. Mikla is my Ecstasy
  21. KOBE BRYANT

  22. @Liam Brown
  23. The only real difference between the 2 maps, was the subtraction of traitor and soccer, and the addition of disco and the small pool. Its still literally 66% deathgames with the other 44% being a small pool, a bad disco, literally a box, and a bad race. Bitch where's my thanks Edit: My math is valid. This map is 110% shit. Fight me @Bread
  24. Lack of things to do, and people not liking the map is a good reason to remove a map...Only better reason would be something like it crashing the server or something. Plenty to do: Deathcrate; Deathrun; Climb; Jump rope; Breakfloor; Dodgeball; Colors; Wipeout; Pool (very small); Disco; Big Cage; Race (which is small and boring as fuck)= 4 things to do. If you really want to even count big cage as something to do. There is no etc. That's seriously it. Some people like it, that is true. But whenever this map is played, I also see people bitching about it. The amount of deathgames is nice, as it gives you something better to do for LRs/Deathgames, but the non deathgame options are really quite boring. Big cage is always boring, pool is very small, disco (sorry @SL4DE ) sucks and race is very small and boring. There is also the fact that the map design is very dull and a bit of an eye sore. It just isn't pleasant to look at. A good 80-90% of the map is grey. There is also the smoke on vent glitch that is a pain to deal with. It is hard to rebel due to the layout of the map as well. I fully support this map being removed for the reasons above. It's very dull and overall not a fun map to play on T side. And to end with: It's the 15th overall played map in regard to time. It also really isn't that new. It was requested and added late December/early January. We removed electric_vip back in November and it is still the 7th most played map. Just because it is played a lot, doesn't hinder its ability to be removed. This map just isn't good unless you like playing CT, as it is easy to control.
