  1. hmmmm, 90% sure it's written somewhere that last CT can't camp, at least it was at some point. Thought it was in rules plug in, maybe the !faq ?. Regardless I'd prefer it just be said as "last CT can not delay" then let admin discretion on if they are delaying.
  2. Isn't that already covered in the rules plug in? And back to the afk freeze thing, @Lupin if you are allowed to free look, that's not afk freeze. Afk freeze is not moving the mouse and not moving at all. I've seen it a handful of times where a CT will shoot a T for moving mouse after ordering afk freeze but not enough to warrant it's own rule (yet) or to stop someone from playing. Usually it's only ordered at the start of the round "all Ts take one step out face the back of your cell and afk freeze" (which is funny because 90% of CTs giving that order don't realize the whole point of doing that is to weapon check but that's irrelevant). It's almost never given mid round and again I'd say let admin use discretion on if it's reasonable meaning CTs can't order afk freeze for too long.
  3. Now that you mention it that's been a rising problem. Seen more and more people claiming that's it's against the rules but AFAIK it's not. I would classify it as an unreasonable order for anything longer than 10-20 seconds. Iirc the afk manager is what, 30 seconds?
  4. I guess I just have a slightly different perspective on camping as last CT. As long as you are still enforcing the rules actively, I don't see it as camping. I know literally it is but still. And I'd even argue with you that scout tower is hardly camping as you have a clear view of the main part of the map. Compared to say when you're in soccer and that's all you can see. From scout tower you still have a view on the main cell area and most doors. Perhaps it is better to simply state it as "can not delay" and let admins use their own discretion as what is and is not delaying. I myself wouldn't have slayed in the scenario given and I still stand by my statement that whatever admin did shouldn't have either, as long as you were actively enforcing the rules. Edit: and again in regards to "there is no last CT can't camp rule" it's not in the motd but it is in the rules plug in if you type!rules
  5. Well imo it would qualify as spam as it does spam the chat with "unstuck all players" or whatever it says. Regardless you could also consider this teamkilling which is against the rules. Which is why I suggested in the thread cappn made before onion switched discussion over here, we should put the rule as "Last CT can not delay or camp." Covers all situations and is already basically the rule.
  6. Hey be sure to look up before climbing any ladders.
  7. Mine still is TTT even tho it's almost always dead
  8. I didn't play it much but few times I did i really enjoyed it. Would be nice to take a break from JB and play DR a few times.
  9. [video=youtube;h_1__C-K-vM] I can't praise this band enough and recommend them enough. Really great band, down to earth and put on a fucking amazing show. Met them end of May and they were so nice and humble. Their bass player is an eagles fan so got to mess with him a bit. Lzzy's voice is un-fucking-believable.
  10. Post your desktops!

Currently using this photo of the beautiful Sophie Simmons. I rarely ever go to the desktop so I don't normally keep a lot of shortcuts on there.
  11. Just like with snapchat, I don't any of you fuckers on my instagram (I never got on anyway but still) >.> On a serious note though, it's not like we have huge announcements every week or anything. Long as you check the forum every day or even every other day or so, I doubt you'll miss too much. It wouldn't hurt I guess for someone to setup an instagram or facebook but don't see the need for it. Also I feel like there was a facebook page at some point, but I never joined it.
  12. I never use it for cardinal directions. I use minimap on every map to see in which general direction an enemy is. It will still show relative to your dot where the enemies are. So it doesn't give a huge advantage but it does help both teams to an extent.
  13. Well I mean it doesn't show all the hidden stuff. I think spyvsspy is the only one that shows a vent. It's mostly just for seeing where basketball or pool is.
  14. Eh, not too fond of disabling radar. Especially since some newer maps actually have a copy of the map on there which makes finding places easier. Plus I've found it to come in handy when playing T to assist in rebelling. Also handy when a CT is camping and someone happens to see him. On the flipside it also helps CTS by showing where a teammate died and getting an idea where the rebels are. Also can be used to know where you teammates are so you can cover every area (for example on spyvsspy I can see a teammate is already watching the vents so I can instead go watch a door). I get that it would help with the role play aspect, but think that'd be a little too far imo.
  15. I would like to see it added but if it's not added I probably wouldn't care. It's not a huge problem, I probably only see the issue happen once or twice every few days and the less dictating the rules the better imo. And I say that lightly as I like the rules we have now, but just because something is a very dick move doesn't mean we should make it against the rules. So in a way, i abstain.
  16. Freekilling would imply that it's the CT breaking a rule tho. Far as I've always known ratting out your T buddies isn't against the rules, just a really dick move. So whatever admin told you that was either wrong or misinformed. I wouldn't mind seeing it added to the rules however.
  17. I mean in regards to the RP part that's stupid. If you want to get that technical, you're not going to know where your fellow prisoner is as you won't have a virtual map telling you. And it's more realistic to NOT say, as "snitches get stitches". Honestly it's a bit of a grey area. I do think it's a bit of a team kill and possibly a form of ghosting (so to speak). Tbh I only see the kids (14-15 year Olds) doing it. Id be in favor of adding it to the rules tho.
  18. The primary point of the thread was asking if we can add it to the rules plugin, then people start debating over whether or not it's a rule.
  19. didn't we have a server with more than 24 before, like back in 2012 and it just didn't work. 24 is a good balanced number of people. Add more and it just becomes a bigger clusterfuck.
  20. Now that we have that clear and cut, can we get it added to the !rules plugin to make this conversation easier on server?
  21. Not the point of the thread. If I need to get an admin I can try to find one (not new to the community ) but that doesn't solve the problem of confusion on the rules. It's much easier to have a player type !rules and see it say "No distance orders" or "No forcing Ts off mic for an unreasonable amount of time" and solve the problem than it is to argue with them, get an admin on, then have the admin argue with them over whether or not its a rule. Edit: Just saw the entire round bit on "Ts talking over CTs" rule tab. Yet the guide itself implies otherwise though. That's directly from the guide. How is that not saying no distance orders? Also again, I am fully away how to get admins on and about player complaints, but that doesn't stop confusion about the rules, which is the reason for the thread.
  22. Can we possibly add "CTs can not give distance orders such as stay 10 feet away" to the rules plugin? It seems to be a growing issue of "you can give distance orders" "no you can't" lately. While not said flat out, it is strongly implied/assumed in the guide Just today on the server I had to go through the trouble of putting that quote in the chat while players were debating over it since its not in the rules plugin. Moving on to the forcing Ts off of mic, can we get a clear stance on that and also add it to rules or faq? Its another problem I'll see where the CTs get tired of Ts on mic and will try to force them off mic for an unreasonable amount of time. For example a CT said "all ts off mic" about a minute into the round, then about 1:30-2 mins later he shot a T for being on mic saying "I said all ts off mic." A few other times I've seen CTs trying to keep Ts off mic for no reason. When I asked Onion on steam chat he said that we have 30 second mute at the start of round for a reason. I understand saying all Ts off mic when trying to give an order later in the round and they are mic spamming, and that will get people muted and/or kicked, but there's no reason for a CT to force all Ts off mic unless they are trying to give a new order.
  23. See that's the way I always saw it but the explanation I gave ITT was how it was last explained to me. Here's a link to the last time we discussed it. I'd have to reread what the rules plug in says but I do think we really need a clear cut, simple to the point stance on what baiting is. As you said it would ultimately boil down to the admins discretion but the more blunt and set in stone decision, the better. Edit: This is how I tried to explain it last time I still think this is the better meaning that what I said earlier ITT.
