I think the whole "role play" argument holds no valid point or stance in regards to this. Just because it happens in real jail doesn't justify it to be done in a video game. There is such a thing as taking role play too far. Rape in jail is not acceptable and is obviously against the rules. So if you wish to apply the logic of role play to this situation, then it also shouldn't be allowed to be done. Prisoners kill each other in real jail, but team killing isn't allowed. Why should rape be? And to further touch down on it, i know we can't logically cater to every little thing that someone takes offense to. However I do feel that this a topic that we should be doing something about. I'd prefer for it to not happen at all, but as i said if both parties are perfectly content with it, then I guess it would be alright. But if the receiving party isn't okay with it happening then it should be stopped. Me personally, if it gets too graphic and detailed (talking the CT actually moaning, or getting too detailed with it) I'll prob step in and tell them to stop. If they want to cyber, go get in a private Ts channel or Skype call.

Just because a game is rated M, doesn't mean we have to allow inappropriate content on our server. I'm not even that worried about it affecting little kids, as we are not their parents. But regardless, as I said, minor shit trash talk like "get rekt, suck my dick" is okay. But when it crosses that line and gets more graphic and sexual, and it's not wanted, we shouldn't allow it.

Also in regards to the ESRB thing, may i remind you that online interactions are not rated by the ESRB. If you play the base game of csgo at its core, you won't see anything sexual. The rating of the game is irrelevant to how we monitor our own private server.

To add on to that, player disrespect is our least enforced rule. That's undeniable. I do my best to put it to a stop, and I'm on quite a bit (not as much past 2 weeks but still a very decent amount), but that isn't enough. While you are on Anguish, one or two admins aren't going to immediately fix our overall lack of player disrespect enforcement. Metal wasn't calling out anyone in particular, but was saying as a whole, the admin team has been slacking in regards to handling player disrespect. Which is something I had noticed before I even got it. Player disrespect has gotten progressively worse on PB the past few months and I'm glad red brought this topic up. I will be keeping an even bigger eye out and hopefully so will other admins. Biggest thing to remember is that we are all playing for the same reason. To have fun. Some people use this as a hobby, for others it's an escape from their problems. Player disrespect takes away that fun and us basically cyber bullying. As admins it's our jobs to make sure everyone is having as much fun as possible by cleaning the server from that kind of thing. The last thing I want to happen is someone join our server, and leave upset because of someone bullying them. Edit: To respond a bit to Intelligence, the game is rated M for violence and blood. Not sexual content. Some parents will let their kid play Halo but not GTA for this reason. Regardless you bring up some fair points. I do still think the more vulgar stuff should be monitored. Not taking just back "suck my dick". But when they get extremely graphic with it, it's different story. When it crosses the line from stupid sexual comments, to legit sexual harassment, that's when if someone speaks up we should do something. Obviously discretion and common sense play a role here. Would also like to clarify that my post is mainly in regards to player disrespect in general, not just sexual harassment.

This would also fall under the blanket statements of player disrespect. They are literally disrespecting you based on your gender or racial identity. While I wouldn't expect an admin to flat out punish someone for say the what's for dinner scenario, if a player had a problem with it then the admin should do whatever they can to prevent it from happening again. I personally would just psay the player rather than make a server wide announcement unless it's a huge problem with everyone doing it.

Way I like the rules written, and so do the higher ups from what I can tell, is to have blanket statements. For example the discussion we had the other day about racism. Simple and to the point in order to cover all grounds. As it stands atm, I feel the no player disrespect rule does cover what you've mentioned. As for if the higher ups wish to go into more detail, that is up to them. I'd suggest to maybe update the FAQ and specify it in there, rather than the rule plug in. As for it not being allowed, again i feel as long as everyone is okay with it, it's fine in regards to this scenario. But based off of what you've said both here and in steam messages, I'll go further and say imo, that if anyone, not the relevant parties, have an issue with it happening, then an admin should step in and stop it. Ensuring that everyone is having fun imo is the first priority of admins. That's done by enforcing the rules and keeping things balanced and what not. Rape and sexual harassment/assault are very touchy subjects that have a huge affect on most people, some more than others. If these things happening cause someone else's fun to be ruined and have an impact on them by setting off an emotional trigger, it now exceeds just the game and has an effect on them outside the game and has the potential to cause some serious harm to that person. So again, and for a Tldr: it shouldn't be out right banned, however it is covered under player disrespect and should be stopped if someone has a problem with it. And tbh if the higher ups do choose to outright ban it, id be perfectly fine with it.

Here's my stance on the matter: Orders like telling Ts to "suck my dick" are fine, as long as the T is alright with it. As with any form of player disrespect, I, and almost any admins as much as I can tell, will let it slide ONLY IF both parties are okay with it and it isn't too extreme. Specifically in regards to this type of situation you've brought up, I don't see a necessity to flat out specify it in the rules, and as Spartan pointed out, it wouldn't do much to prevent the it. Let's take someone like Bubblez, who I will name since everyone knows he does it from time to time and it's basically common knowledge, who does this order not a lot, but it's fairly common. From what I've seen, he doesn't go out of his way to target females in particular when he does, but for the most part both parties are okay with it. In that case, I wouldn't punish. However if the person being ordered is not okay with it, then it is player disrespect/harassment and the CT should be punished. As Spartan said, any admin that flat out shrugged it off, shouldn't have but I'll let the higher ups do their job in regards to handling that. I highly encourage anytime something like this happens, you use admin chat to report it (type @ in front of your message in team chat to do so, example given below). And it also wouldn't hurt to demo as well. TL;Dr since i keep getting bitched at- The order itself is okay as long as both parties are okay with it. Otherwise it is player disrespect. Example of admin chat: Go like you are going to send a message to your team(default is U). Type @ then your message. So: @rawr is Freekilling again Would send that message to only admins in game. It's a good way to report stuff to us.

Not entirely lupin. Obviously entering the vent is KOS. But if I CT specifically says do not break the vent and doing so is KOS, then that's a different story. But by default, breaking a vent isn't KOS. I would like Onion to clarify what I just said tho, as IMO kos'ing for breaking a vent is a little much. Not too much conflict, myself and Retro were the only other admins to post and we pretty much agreed. Only difference in what Onion said was that him allowing you to enter vent with him, made it not auto KOS for that CT. Regardless, the CT freekilled. But yes, in that situation either way you would have died in that situation, which is why I still stand by what I said about punishing the CT if I was there for purposely trying to get you killed.

Not sure if he'd be banned for one time Freekill, but then again not my call. Anyway, given that situation, going by technicality, he didn't order you into the vent. I could be seen either way but regardless, a really doucheuy move and that being said, I still would have punished him. In a way it can be related to the "all Ts are now funions (however the hell you spell it) incident that got a guy banned before. He was obviously trying to get you killed.

You missed the main point. They aren't required and serve no other purpose than to rebel. The teleporter on clouds doesn't help you rebel. Even more so the way it's designed by having the CTs teleport away from the Ts. It's designed to simply Grt to the main area of the map. Whereas the teleporter on maps such as electric, are designed to help you rebel. It boils down to common sense.

The exact rules are teleports and vents are always KOS. In the case of clouds there's an obvious exception as its required to play the map. The logic can be applied that that teleporter is a part of the map layout and it is required. Other teleporters such as the one in cells on electric, serve no purpose other than to rebel. If we KOSd the clouds teleport we might as well get rid of the map cuz we'd only have main spawn area.

Not at all baiting. Baiting is when a CT is putting himself in a situation where death is inevitable (so to speak). Vents are always KOS. From what you said he told you it was okay to follow him. He didn't exactly order you to enter. As retro said, in that situation you should just stand outside the vent. If he kills you for not entering then it's free kill.

First off, I condemn you for playing what is basically what's for dinner, which I will forever hate and silently judge anyone for playing But in that instance, I wouldn't consider it freekill or in the wrong. He still had to do his part of the deathgame and he didn't so he died.

Deathgames are iffy, so I'd need to know more info about the situation. Just to clarify I have all the info correct, 3 Ts went to play the death game. All the other Ts died from rebelling. Of the three playing the death game, one lost, the other died for rebelling. Now, I'd need to actually know what the death game is, as deathgames are a pain in the ass. For example simon says. CTs will pull the (bullshit IMO) card on the last T of "simon didn't say you had a freeday" if they won, or "simon didn't say we weren't playing simon says anymore". Also keep in mind, deathgames are still of the CT's choice and they can stop the game at any point and are not required to award them, nor are LRs required to be given, but yeah...Need more info...

You asked this yesterday and myself and Pyro both told you no. Boils down to this: Player disrespect is a bit of an admin's discretion on when and how it should be punished. There's a reason why it's our least enforced rule. We like to have fun in the community and pick at each other, but eventually a line has to be drawn. That line is drawn by the admins. That's why we have them. Admins are members of the community that have gained the trust and respect from other members and can be trusted to handle situations such as player disrespect. Something you might consider disrespectful, others might not. Ultimately, as I said, its the admin's decision. By you trying to give that order, you are acting like an admin. It is not at all within reason. I might tell Ahoy or harpo to go fuck themselves, and they won't take offense to it, but you do and shoot me. That is not your call to make. That's why I usually don't punish people for harassing bubblez by calling him a monkey, or stupid or all the other insults we give him. He doesn't take offense to it and usually plays along and shit talks right back. However, I have had to step in and stop someone (you to be exact) from harassing him as he did tell me it was annoying him. And I would have to disagree with you. I tell players all the time, breaking the rules to stop others from breaking them isn't justified. Two wrongs don't make a right. Same reason why I tell people on TTT or PB, do not freekill or gunplant to stop another freekiller/rdm'er. Hell, Bork even got banned before for RDM'ing a RDM'er. Same applies here, if a person is being racist, demo and report them or get an admin. We had been getting onto you for at least a week before I banned you, and you know damn well why you were banned by me. Just because you got in trouble for it, doesn't mean you have to make it your personal agenda to punish everyone else.
