I'm pretty sure we have a planned once-a-month server to revisit old servers we used to have/mess around in other gamemodes we don't plan on officially implementing. Not 100% sure about it thought because there's been no WORD ABOUT IT.

Personally, I believe that because this server is autohop, we need the hard maps. Nobody is going to improve by speedrunning the same easy maps over and over again, maybe only introduce a few hard maps to start (Lostworld, Badges and Exodus?) and see how the community takes to them, and add more as desired.

Shit like this and the fact that Simon Says exists is why I don't play deathgames and instead just rebel. We can't really punish for it, though. The entire point of a deathgame is to say "If you choose to, you're going to be playing a game and most likely dying." While I personally hate CTs that do that kind of deathgame on bias rather than actual decent jokes or decent choices by the Ts, it's not like we can, or would slay them for being assholes.

I actually did not see his second post until I came here to post the video. i actually went into fucking SDK to try and find the exploit thinking it'd be some hard to find hidden hole in the skybox and not an obvious as fuck ledge

it's fun to do SGvsSG from time to time but you need 12 people on at the same time the most i generally see on at the same time is like, 11. sure you can ask people to get online but we aren't an OW community, so it's harder to get a 6v6 going also, it's more fun to get 5 friends together and mess around in quickplay rather than tryhard against other tryhards

Honestly all of the paradoxes/riddles are just awfully worded.

Also keep in mind that it's not "4GB" as the name implies. The 970 (not 100% about the 960) has a certain bullshit part in the architecture that basically makes 0.5GB out of the 4GB unusable. This is not a big deal in pretty much any games, but as they start getting higher fidelity, it's going to show it's wear. It's already made people upset because it actually makes a difference in GTAV. The 980 has *true* 4GB+ VRAM but it's way out of your price range. But for a good budget Nvidia card, I'd say go for the 960. Make sure you do your research on the best manufacturers (MSI and EVGA I believe are the best, my 980 is an EVGA) and try to wait for a sale, checking all possible sites (pcpartpicker.com has a listing of the main hardware retailers so you can get the best prices an shit) and maybe if you're lucky you might be able to nab a 970 for $200

GTX has both desktop and laptop range. Considering he said 260 and not 260M, he must be running a desktop machine. As for the thread: You can get a GTX 960 for $200, which is leagues better than what you have despite being the low end of the 900 series. I'm not sure how it performs compared to the 780, so you'd have to look that up.

As someone who played a shit ton of a TTT server way back when, this has never been classified as RDM to my knowledge, even on SG back when we had gmod TTT. It's common knowledge to be careful on that hallway, and to shoot the barrel if you see it coming. It'd be kinda like saying just casually pressing the bridge on Minecraft, then somebody running down it after you left and falling in the lava is RDM. Now, if the player SEES someone running down the hall, and then presses it with the intent to kill, then yes, it is RDM.

The second one is actually a paradox, though. The first and third aren't. The first is theoretically a loop, but as a principle of how Pinnochio's nose works, it has a definite end. The third is just a riddle.

the rule of a paradox is that there is no true answer. the classic paradox that represents most time travel paradox is the grandfather paradox, which is basically what you stated in the second paradox basically, the idea of, if you go into the past to change something, then you never would've had the need to change it, so you never would've gone back into the past to change it, so it never would've been changed. as such, in order for this game to be fair you must do one of two things: 1: change the paradox in such way as to make it have a definite end or 2: make a riddle disguised as a paradox the first one is horribly worded but let's assume that "it" is pinnochio's nose if he says that it will grow, it's not a lie, it is an assumption. if you were to state it as if it was not an assumption, even then it's simple. him saying that his nose will grow is not a lie inherently, since if it doesn't grow, it will be a lie, which means it WILL grow, ending the chain there, his statement came true, his nose WAS going to grow, with the only reason it not growing being that his statement came true. there is no back and forth here, there's no return to "the original statement was true therefore his nose doesn't grow" since the state of it being a lie already came about. bad wording but you can decipher it and my intention from this i'm sure the second one is old af and has literally only one answer: alternate timelines. this shit was explained in back to the future. when a time-changing event comes about it separates the timeline, and once you proceed into the future it runs down the timeline in which the change occurred. the best way to explain it is with a handy dandy graph [ATTACH=CONFIG]14939[/ATTACH] the third one is a riddle not a goddamn paradox FUCK the answer is one of two things "If I answer correctly, you will let him go." or, the more common answer "If I answer incorrectly, you will eat him." where the fuck is my prize
