Extra Life 2016 is November 5th from 8 a.m. until November 6th at 8 a.m. I need to get an idea of how many sessions I need to try to schedule to get as many people to participate. So here you'll post what games you want to participate in. If you can prioritize them for me so I can also maybe attempt to build a schedule and post what time you'll be able to play. I don't expect anyone to hangout all 24 hours with me, that's cool if you do but I'm realistically expecting around 2 hours per person. Here's a list of games I am planning on playing, if you have another suggestion please let me know. If I have it we can work it in, however, if I don't I currently do not have plans to purchase any more games before the event unless there's a sale. Rocket League (4 v 4's) Rocket League Competitive 3's Killing Floor 2 (6 man team) RWBY Grimm Eclipse (4 man team) Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (3 person groups) Left for Dead 2 (Campaigns only too many people fight in VS) Damned (5 person game IIRC) Dead by Daylight (5 person groups) Jack Box Party Games (depends on the game, you will need to have TeamViewer 11 to play) Elite Dangerous (can do a pretty big private party) Overwatch (6 man teams, no 6 v 6, competitive or normals) League of Legends (No 5 v 5's, no competitive I'm rusty as fuck) As stated in previous thread about this, I don't plan to play any of the CS:GO servers as I don't want to flood any server with our group. There are a few stipulations on some games that I've stated in the parentheses, sorry, but this is going off experience with this community and similar situations. I am going to try to schedule this event as best as I can to get as many of you guys to play with me at least once that day, obviously the longer you are available to play the more chances you got. I've been an android user for the reasons many have stated, its flexible and programmer friendly. One day I'll build myself an app.

You can, however, I do not have one of those either. Been trying out sling, its not looking good. There's a bunch of stuttering and desynced audio. You are supposed to be able to control the bit rate but I've failed to do so.

Through the process of trying to set it up, I've learned that you actually have to have a PS 3 or 4. They say you can do the setups if you have apple devices but I do not. So this was a big let down. I really am not that thrilled with sling.

We actually use them at work for various things. Its really good for custom things that you don't need full sized computers for and its a good way to learn electronics and coding.

Yeah a lot of the reviews I'm seeing are positive and seems to be a better value than Sling. Probably the one negative I am seeing right now is the lack of History Channel. I know its not what it used to be as a network, but a lot of the older stuff I liked a lot. However, for like $5 a month I can do the service from Amazon for that stuff.

Thinking about using this service. The price seems pretty good just wondering how the service is. I'll probably be doing the trial run just to make sure my hardware and stuff is good, but if there are some quirks would be good to know.

Been doing some preliminary tests and all things are looking good. I am having an issue of capturing Dead By Daylight with OBS, so if anyone has any suggestions on getting that fixed, about the only way I know how to get it to work is a monitor capture which will mess up my grand display of content. Speaking of which there's a rumor going around that I'll have a webcam going, stay tuned to see if that's true.

We are probably going to institute new rules involving this. We haven't set a date for it, but its something we've talked about getting changed. While your write up is good, given the changes we are going to make it may be a bit outdated when we do it. We'll probably use this as a frame of reference and find a place to put this information when we do.

So what I need is some suggestions for "filler" games. Games to play for 15 minutes to an hour to help fill some holes in scheduling. I'd be down for some single player play throughs. So go through my list of games and find a game you are curious about and maybe I'll give a little sample for you to see if you'd want to own it yourself. I'll also probably do some pre-producing some bits for when I need to run to the bathroom and whatnots, so that will help there.

Problem is many people who no longer have admin don't have it for a reason and that many HGs never had admin to begin with. Again, it comes down to the problem of potential abuse of a system that has non-admins having any kind of power. It's why we have an admin application process to pick people who are mature enough for admin abilities. No matter how we'd try to regulate it we would never be able to remove the doubt for abuse. This has been brought up many times in the past and we are not in favor of allowing people to vote kick in any situation. It is too easily abused. Please if you have issues, contact an Admin via Steam Chat or shoutbox on the forum. If you cannot find one, please record a demo and upload a player complaint.

Alright Peeps! I'm going to do the Extra Life Game Day 2016 on November 5th, 2016. I'll set up a Steam-Gamers team for people to join, here is our page. Here's the Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SGExtraLife So we are about 2 months out from this event, time for me to start to kind of get thing organized. What is Extra Life Game Day? It is a 24 hour gaming marathon event that many people participate in to raise money for Children's Hospitals all across the U.S. and Canada. There are a few places in EU but its rare for them to be setup for this and you have to contact people to get it setup. What happens is that people will stream/play video games for 24 hours and people will donate towards the person's choice of hospital. Can I participate with you? Yes you can! This is why I am reaching out this early. If you want to play with me at some point in this marathon, there will be a few ways to do this. Because this will be a fun event for anyone participating, I need to make some limits and restrictions so I can try to get to as many of you as I possibly can. So here's how its going to break down. If you do a $5 donation for my personal page, you will get first priority. Next priority will be if you sign up personally on the Extra Life website: http://www.extra-life.org/, sign up as a platinum member (info here). Next priority will be to normal members on the team. Please Note: I cannot guarantee every time will work for me or I will be able to play a game of your choice, I will try to accommodate everyone however. What will be the schedule?
