The argument behind that voting example is pretty flawed since all it takes is majority votes to win a nomination. If the server was 60/62 players all it would take is a 30:29 vote. Even if almost half the server didn't really want to play a map they are forced to anyways. Along with that, sometimes maps don't win with server majority but vote majority and win the vote 23%:19%:14%;etc...(Without a runoff vote). So a very small portion of the server wants to play one map when other parts want to play others. Just because you voted against a map doesn't mean it isn't going to be played. As for the set amount of nominations it makes sense so that every time that the server population requirement is met an event map isn't just automatically nominated by one person and then a group of inexperienced players are thrust into a difficult map because one person wanted to play a it and people recognized the name of a popular map. There needs to be at least a little bit of planning on at least a certain amount of people in order to start an event map so that way there are people there that will defend/trigger/lead. If all it took was one person then there would be little coordination unless that person already has friends on to cooperate with or is a good leader.

I think I'd like to request that extension since I've recently found some time and have started work on a map. I've gotten a lot done but its mostly just blocked out now, I've still got to work in all the entities and skybox and etc and don't think I can get that done with 5 days left since the weekends are when I have most of my time. @arottenpickle pls

More of an after thought about the finished product, but if the map is made, done, submitted by the deadline, and is added to the server, can you make changes to it afterwards in terms of bug fixing/adding content if it is after the deadline? As in the contest is over and the maps that won are added, can they be edited at that point to fix/change anything the mapper wants to, excluding removing the banner and such. The last line is a little discouraging, but I assume that this can be done once the contest is over.

I've got a few ideas that I may try if I get time.

There are teleporters, but I think that the rounds are also pretty short and a little too fast paced to keep up with what everyone is doing on the map. If everyone is in the tops then the rounds go pretty quickly, and there is practically no use for them at that point. Same thing with the matchbox/flaregun, I rarely see anyone use them because it is faster and easier to just kill someone and then just stay nearby incase a detective comes by. Using them is more time consuming than just walking or running away from something. I'm also pretty sure that since weapons now have pretty heavy speed modifiers, people are less likely to just grab M249s and AWPs and just run around with them and keep on the move since you are fairly exposed when you need to run and use a heavier weapon. M4s even are just too slow I feel compared to how you could use them in Gmod, along with the M1014.

I mean, it's not even like this map even has a big problem with radar visibility. You can practically see every inch of the map from the tops. Slender had underlying problems with the lighting and black fog. And it's also not like the map has a severe lack of primary weapons, there are M4s, Mac10s, M1014s, and Scouts all over the place, along with side arms. Slender was missing a lot of elements from the map that should have been there in the first place. I'm pretty sure that the map has a size issue because of the lack of connection to the ground and the tops. In a lot of Gmod servers, you could actually just jump down to the ground if the server had the low grav packs. And the vent worked too. The only ways back up are the elevators and the ladders. I'm not even sure if I should bother to fix the rooms on this map then if you guys are gonna just vote to remove it.

Something like this to aid those looking for help: Signature Image/Video/Gif Tutorial -In order to set and image/video/gif in your signature you first need to find an image/video/gif that is hosted on one of the supported websites. Some areas are extremely bright and others are not lit up enough. All the pins and bowling balls are there but they are invisible cuz ham man is bad. Also, all the guns are either inside the gun room or in the back rooms, so everyone is in the same area at the start trying to get their guns. Just repeating everything I said ingame so Stunning can make a list of what needs a tad bit of changing.

A recent class action lawsuit towards Nvidia about the false advertisement of the GTX GeForce's 970 video card's capabilities has made Nvidia agree to a settlement of a 30$(20% of 350$ USD) refund for everyone who had purchased the card(along with all the delicious court fees of 1.3 million). I'll put several links at the end so you can read up on it. To my knowledge, there isn't a way to make a claim quite yet, but you can make a request for a refund of 20% through Amazon based on how someone has posted a chatlog of them talking with an Amazon representative and refunding their account for the 30$ settlement. For now it only appears to be United States only, but other users in the bottom reddit link have said that they have received a refund from Amazon UK. The settlement price is different for international customers, but for now I think it is US and UK only. I've not seen any other users refund from other nations. I have a 970 and thought that I would spread the word to anyone that might also have one in the US. The link to TopClassAction.com tells you to wait until they have information about how to make a claim by staying up to date with their site. The bottom reddit link has the OP showing that they were able to refund the 30$ through Amazon without much hassle at all! I haven't heard much good about Newegg's handling of the refunds though. Could we get a sound for TTT that marks the noise of the beginning of a round. Too many times I tab out because I've died and watching people be run around aimlessly has just not enough to keep that attention. Then I'd tab back late and already dead twenty seconds into the round because you never know when the players will actually find each other. Its become a really annoying occurrence for me because I want to browse the internet or listen to people on TS or some other stuff where I don't have to listen to players yelling. Something like the 'ACCEPT' button noise so that you can hear it when you are tabbed out possibly. EDIT: Also to have it at the start of the waiting period, when the 5:00 minute timer begins, not when the round actually begins because someone may just kill at the start before you can realize.

Yeah, there is a small power box that turns them off. Most of the time people just rush to that after they get weapons to turn off the lights for the lels and its fucking boring every time.

Haven't played on TTT regularly for a while, but this map is a serious groan when it wins map vote. Map is only moderately tolerable when the lights are on, but no one keeps the lights on because everyone just hits it immediately. The darkness on maps becomes pretty boring after a certain point and the black fog that completely blocks out radar blips past a certain distance is just useless extension to the round time where nothing happens(especially in a 1v1). Although it happens on bigger maps as well due to draw distance, you know that when you can't see the blip they are in a certain part of the map. Not seeing the blip on slender could mean they are anywhere and, unless they are camping, you probably won't find them.
