  1. LoL PBE

Anyone want to 1v1 a diamond donger? raise 'em ????????
  2. I'm just going to close this thread.
  3. I personally rather see it at least restricted, but in reality, it's looking like it would be a better option to remove it altogether because of it's consistent misuse and abuse on the server. Especially with the "Last CT does not need to warning shot" rule, all a last CT needs to do it just call "AFK freeze", and anyone that twitches gets killed. That is not fun, and I will be looking into this.
  4. I'm 100% sure AFK freeze has been covered in detail in one of the JB stickies. I'll look into it when I'm not in the middle of America and chill. Sent from Tapatalk
  5. Honestly, that video example is not the worst case of yelling and spamming that I've witnessed. It has been a lot worse. Changing the slots from 28 players to 24 players just because too many people are talking at once is inefficient. It doesn't matter if there are 5 people on the server, or 64, it only takes a few players talking for all conversation to be nearly incomprehensible. I do not think that removing 4 slots from the server will have much effect to counter players talking over each other, for this is more of a social issue, then it is a server issue. I do not feel a permanent change to he server would help that specific issue much at all. When it comes to most of the server attempting to talk at once, prisoners can be told to go "off mic" for a limited amount of time, and admins can warn CT's to stay on topic/give each other a chance to speak. Because of the nature of the gamemode, it can get chaotic at times, so there is no final solution. I've warned players, parties, teams, and even the entire server at times to try and lessen the amount of "mic time" they use in game. For some reason, some players feel like if no one responds to them in particular, they need to repeat themselves constantly. Others feel like they constantly need to speak. Then in game, you will have one CT trying to give one order, and another attempting to give a completely different one, causing confusion. With no warden system, and giving CT's the ability to all give orders, it does not take much to have multiple conversations on the same channel, causing confusion. Admins take change when situations like this arise, but it's ultimately up to the individual players to police themselves on efficient mic usage, and this boils down to how they individually interact with one another. Us admins will eventually weed out who we need to take action against, however, it is more efficient if players would attempt to recognize when they should, and should not, speak. PrisonBreak is a gamemode where the T's are attempting to take over the prison to win the round, there is always going to be chaos with conflict.
  6. Once you know the code, it's just as simple as not sidestepping onto a circle that will kill you. If you randomize the code each round, the risk is much greater, but the award is an SSG08, in a one-way location that provides no cover, but allows you to see most of the main cell area. I personally dislike one-way areas as it provides complete visual cover to one party, and allowing unhindered vision to the other. There is no skill in this, and it essentially turns combat into a point-and-click adventure game. Randomizing the code each round would give a player a 1/16 chance to make it to the top without getting ejected or dying, which is a decent amount of risk vs reward. If a player makes it to the top, they earned it at that point, compared to other one-way areas that only requires you to jump into a teleporter, and now you are invisible with access to an AWP. The only note I would make if this was to happen is to find a way to completely randomize the code each round. I don't want it to turn into Lego Jail where the code is only "randomized" into specific patterns. Plus, if it was completely randomized each round, it would take a lot of trial and error to figure out the code, which means lives would have to be sacrificed, and with the visual nature of the circular teleporters, it would make communication of the potential code difficult. "Okay, is it the third brightest circle, then second darkest circle?" "No, it was second darkest circle, then the brightest circle" "Nope that didn't work either" It's a lot more difficult then calling out colored teleporters. If all else fails, some automatic fire into the top of the tower would flush out most opponents. The open mic symbol appears over the heads of anyone hidden behind a one-way, and if you can convince someone to speak while hidden behind a one way wall, you will be able to easily figure out the exact position of that player. Also, ^ THIS
  7. I can understand your mindset of how giving a winner of a deathgame a freeday for surviving, but it's completely different from a special order. An example of a special order would be "All T's go to big cage, except for EZrebeller69, he will go to isolation". The player who survived the death game did just that, survived a game where a loss would result in death, therefore, he can be given a freeday as an award. Since the dawn of time when JB was a new gamemode, rewards were given for surviving a deathgame. Back then, if you won, you survived, and your life was your reward. (It's a lot different now, deathgames used to be forced) If we were to keep saying that giving a freeday after surviving a deathgame is a special order, then we might as well say that asking to go somewhere to play a deathgame with willing participants is a special order; and that would make jailbreak boring as hell. Instead of a freeday as an award, you can tell them to go play somewhere restricted, or give suggestions of where all the rest of the T's should go. If a deathgame survivor wants to S4S, and two parties agree, do an LR early. He earned it, he deserves it. However, he is still a prisoner, so he is not entitled to anything more then his life for winning a deathgame IF the CT's choose. If you don't like it, then rebel. Back to the original topic: We tried forced deathgames in many different scenarios, but not forcing deathgames gave the server the best result. I doubt it is going to be incorporated into the future.
  8. and I was just about to add penguin models too... I'm looking into models frequently used, and those that are not, and I'm working on "freshening up" the server with more maps and models. So, by all means, post any ideas (within reason), and we'll take them into consideration~
  9. We tested an entire mapcycle with this map, and had it extended with the regular map vote as well. It's not a bad map to play on so far. Some issues I've noticed on top of other issues in my previous post: -bathroom doors are spammable, makes an annoying noise -some rooms, such as the bathroom, are too difficult to shove a full server into Other then guns being able to be grabbed through armory walls, I'm going to accept this map into the regular rotation, as it was highly enjoyable by majority vote of 86%+ percent of the server. ADDED!
  10. This map was tested tonight with a live playerbase. Where the map isn't bad, sadly there are major issues that will cause me to reject it. If these maps were to be fixed, we could test it again, and it may be eventually accepted. -Guns from last round are kept and carried over to the next for both teams. -Players can get stuck in pool -Players can clip weapons through armory Rejected for now.
  11. This Teaching others how to play the vidya for cash is also appealing. I also wouldn't mind being a top tier commentator for games, but my skills need work.
  12. Hmm.

Absolutely not, suicide is never an option. The posts above have useful advice. If you are feeling suicidal, even if you have or haven't been thinking about it, you should call 1-800-273-8255. It's the national suicide hotline, you can call it from literally any phone, and you can talk to them about anything. You don't have to give a name, or address, or any personal information if you don't want to, and no one has to know if you called or not. They are there to help, that is what they're good at. It's just like talking to anyone too, you don't feel pressured into anything. A break up is always hard, real hard. I promise you, things will get better. If you ever need to talk to anyone about anything, let me know, I've been there, and it's never fun. Take it a day at a time, every sunset is a victory.
  13. U.S. Army

I could write an book on my experiences I've had while in. You will be broken, and you will be rebuilt. You will hit rock bottom in situations, but you will build lifelong friendships and enemies. All in all, if you have the ability to go to college without putting yourself in debt, or a career to pursue, do that. When I joined, it's because I wasn't able to continue going to college, and my state was in a recession. I was honestly tired of making shit money making sandwiches for bitchy people when I joined. I'm not going to talk about it much in a public setting about my experiences in detail, but they will change you, for better, and for worse. But, it's all up to you. Honestly, I would NOT recommend enlisting in the army, hit up the air force first, see what they have to say, and try to pursue enlistment through them. Then hit me up, and I can give you some advice. Either way, hit me up on steam or teamspeak, and I can answer any question you might have about anything military related. I would also suggest contacting Caution as well, as we were in different branches, and had different experiences, and insight. Just, don't sign anything yet. Recruiters are trained to be crafty.
  14. I have some credits down towards a degree, and a few certifications I've obtained during my service. I'm jumping back into school when my service is complete in hopes of obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. I'm certified in different applications in the areas of Electronics, and qualified for a variety of civilian, and military areas that may, or may not, mean anything after my service. ET A-school was a bitch.
  15. -Do not pick anything "nude" (Pink Panther, Lara Croft). -Try to pick a darker model, such as some of the subscriber models. -Try a different model color, it meshes all the colors on your model, and it will hide your weapon slightly. -Observe different T models, and see where the gun lies on the model, if it's on your right side, keep your right side hidden from CT's, if it's on your back, keep your back hidden from CT's. If all else fails, hide the gun in the corner to pick up as your following the next order. -If your weapon is a USP-S, remove the suppressor if possible. Be wary of recoil, and adjust aim as needed. Don't forget that it will attract attention when you shoot more likely then when it had a suppressor equipped. -Remember that a Zeus cannot be seen on a player model ;) A few side notes: -This also applies to grenades, but most CT's ignore grenades. -Some weapons, such as a mac-10, can be hidden, but is a lot more difficult to hide as it is on your chest. This also comes with a higher risk, as you will be KOS if you are caught with it. -If you decide to use your secondary, and you are following orders, you can assume you are being watched. Aim, Draw, and Shoot quickly. Even if you die, you can damage, kill, or even distract long enough for other T's to make a move. -Always, ALWAYS, check how many rounds are left in a gun freshly equipped. Failure to do so will make for some awkward situations. My best suggestion is if you want to experiment with models is to become a subscriber. Not only will you have access to more models right off the bat, but you'll also gain more credits that you can use to buy different items from the store, such as model color, weapon color, and the ever elusive addict skins. I'm also looking into adding more models into JB, so stand by for that.
  16. I'm pretty sure we had this on the server for a couple months before it got removed for inactivity about a year ago. This map is confusing, and it took me about 45 seconds to find the cell door button, but there is some potential here. I'm going to test this at a later date with players to see the reaction.
  17. A few things I don't like about the map: -No map based deathgames -Weapons can easily be grabbed through armory walls -Not many secrets/vents A few things I enjoy about this map: -There are many places to hide, and angles to shoot from -The cell door button is visible, and right outside of armory -The armory as a very limited amount of each gun, but there is variety of different weapons to choose from. No more needing to use a Deagle on an unarmored opponent! (unless you want to) -The hallways are corridors are very tight, but main cell, and the outside area are open enough to not feel claustrophobic. For now, I'm going to keep this under review, and launch a server test with players before coming to a conclusion.
  18. I tested this map with Goku at one point and time. We didn't like it much at all. It's cramped, there are literally no map made deahgames, and most of the action is going to be in main cell. This map looks like it is going to be fun for 5 minutes, then never get voted for again. **Key Features:** -10 prison cells This is too low of a number for how small the cells are compared to players on a full server. 1 V.I.P. cell Should be standard, nothing special, some graffiti on the wall. -Two secret vents One in a cell, and the other in big cage. Neither lead to armory, one leads to an area with cover with a deagle and bizon. -Solitary Confinement Nothing special -Big Cage Nothing special -Airlock ejection (for executions) This is actually pretty neat, we need more execution rooms, however, I can easily see this being abused, and having abuses using an excuse such as "OH I THOUGHT THIS WAS ISOLATION XDXDDDDD" -Healing room One thing I note about the healing room is that it heals at 2-3hp a second. I kinda enjoy how slowly it heals due to the fact that most CT's run to medic after getting hit by anything. -Bath/Shower room Booooring, there is a smoke in there though -Armory with many weapons The standard Deagle, AK, M4, and AWP piles, then 3 famas, 1 taser, and a P90. I guess that qualifies as "many weapons", just not a lot of variety. No vent into armory as well. -Gun cell, flashbang cell "Not much here, glock and flashbangs hidden. This map is an excellent start to a JB map, but it is lacking so much content, that I'm just going to reject this now. Also, the buzzer next to armory button is annoying as hell, and I can guarantee its going to be abused.
  19. -Climbing1+2 Decent, but feels a bit easy. -bhop Too easy -talent Textures broken in most of the room -Cage -rope jumping -tic tac toe Simple code that allows for each player to not cheat, it works. Football The ball is too heavy, barely even moves when shot multiple times. -Basketball -!LR Area -Sona prison(Outside)>rebel Could not see anything interesting about this, other then another place to go. -VIP cell Boring, like all the other cells -place weapons Armory weapon spawners spawn infinite guns, this will be abused and crash the server. -vent Literally only one vent, and it goes to an area with even more texture errors. -helicopter HUGE ISSUE: Buggy as hell, and basically allows either team to control a helicopter to run over friendly players. -Volleyball See Soccer There are major issues regarding textures, and guns spawning in armory. Going to have to say no.
  20. Worked, Slept, Fragged, now I'm here. Nothing special.
  21. I hate to be that guy, but... ...how old is that screencap you posted? Also, Casual first, PB and TTT are second.
  22. NOPE CT's just get upset that half of their team gets stabbed because of that teleporter exit. That doesn't mean you can't say "Hey, don't go up there, it's restricted", and give out warning/kill shots. But CT's should learn to be cautious when entering portals.
