If you are just gaming go with the 4790k or a 6700k, i personally have a 5820k but i do more than just game so i can use those extra cores. So if you are just gaming do not spend the extra momey for a x99 cpu.

You need to arm yourself with at least a knife when being in those types of areas. I personally live very close to Atlanta and I always keep a knife on me. Im pretty sure the card is just thermal throttling. Your GPU isnt being cooled properly most likely and the card is having to roll back its preformance to get the temps low again. This means either one, whatever is cooling the card has a defect, 2 your case is limiting air flow, or 3 something is just wrong with the GPU. Edit: If you are running 1080p a 1050 ti is a good option, 1440p get a 1070 or 1080 depending on hertz, if you want 4k go 1080 also.
