  1. Upcoming concerts

Bringing this one back from the dead :001_tt2: Dragon Force still sucks. A friend/DF fan I went with even told me that I was right, along with another who I caught up with in Tampa also agreed If you get a chance go see Chris Cornell. He's for a lack of words amazing. Hopefully I'll be seeing him again on Sept. 5 I did well this concert season: - 3 high fives: Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell, Mike Shinoda - 5 picks: The Bravery, 2 Linkin Park, probably around 9 from Peter Thorn (Chris Cornell) he goes crazy throwing those things. I gave most of them away. Particularly if there were kids around me. - 3 drumsticks: The Bravery, Linkin Park, Chris Cornell - 1 Chester Bennington sweat drenched towel, he recognized me and threw it at me in Camden. Wanted to give it to a girl friend, but she said it was cheating if she didn't catch it and did not accept. - 1 shirt signed by Chester Bennington - 1 shirt signed by Mike Shinoda, Joseph Hahn (looks like Red Tampon), and Brad Delson - Priceless memories and good times with friends
  2. It is weak. Not necessarily for political reasons, but because this is the Olympic Opening Ceremony. It's not some low budget grade school play.
  3. Michael Phelps

I know what he goes through, and he can eat all he wants. It really is hard to keep weight on when you swim for 6+ hours a day. I remember when I moved away from home and I didn't have mom feeding me, I had the reverse freshman 15. It wasn't that I wasn't eating it's just that I didn't have all the extra calories. Anyway, the man is beast. He will be back in future Olympics, but I doubt he'll be doing as many events as he has. How long he stays competitive is up to him. Dara Torres has changed everything and proven that it's possible for older swimmers to be competitive. She's almost twice Michael's age.
  4. :001_huh: I'm late to this post, but my take on things is that the U.S. blew it in the team finals. Whether the Chinese cheated or not the U.S. should have had it and they choked. I honestly think the age thing is being over hyped, granted the younger girls are lighter and more flexible. The U.S team was hurt more in scoring, were the judging seemed to be more strict on them. If they had put up performances at the levels they were capable of (like in the all around finals) they would've had it but their performances left it open to the judges interpretation, however biased it was. Anyway GO TEAM USA!!! Support my friends and yours as well as the country :thumbup1: The Brits can go kick rocks.
  5. I'm doing no such thing :001_tongue: It's only a couple of hours away from D.C. It takes about the same time to cross half of Florida. Besides, I'm just giving Red some options.
  6. Red, you should try Google NY. Then you wouldn't have to move across the country. That's if other commitments aren't holding you back, and you're willing to put up with the city. NYC... straight male to female ratio of 1:7 IMO
  7. Mick and I already tried it. No more sync issues :thumbup1:
  8. What? I see no misspelled word Congrats
  9. Upcoming concerts

I could make a massive list of memorable moments. I don't hold anyone to the standard of playing perfect, but I'll withhold further comments on their shitty presence until I see them again later this year.
  10. Happy Birthday! Even though it's kind of sad that you made your own thread the day before :001_tt2:
  11. If you want something to game on your going to need a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Most start around $900 and a good one will break your $1000 budget. Fortunately for you Dell has the Dell XPS m1530 on sale. - XPS M1530 (PRODUCT) RED - Add the 8600M GT as your video card - Use coupon code 7J7G9TP6Z52FS3 at check out - Final price is $999.20 The other colors will currently cost you more and they come with Vista Premium instead of Ultimate. I don't know how long the (PRODUCT) RED will be at that price, but the coupon is good until Wednesday.
  12. $400-$1000 is a big gap. What would you normally use it for? What kind of software do you intend to use on it?
  13. The problem might be the drivers. Try this: - Link Creative Vista drivers are really shitty, hence the boycott against their products. About a month ago I learned about custom drivers through an article. Creative ended up banning daniel_k for creating drivers that actually worked properly on Vista. You can read about it here: - link 1 - link 2 Anyway, the custom drivers are much better. I always thought my headphones were limiting me, but after installing them sounds were a lot more crisp and volumes were more natural. I don't have to crank it up as much to get the same sound.
  14. Look at post #43 on this thread. You suggest an E6750, and don't mention anything about the E8400/Q6600 until after I posted about it. [/end] I'm not going to argue with you.
  15. My new Comp

It could be a conflict with your CPU. Xeons are pickier, about their boards. I doubt thats whats happening, but that could be the case. Call and find out if the X3110 is supported on that board. It might just need a BIOS update.
  16. :confused1: You suggested an E6750, not a Q6600 or an E8400. I was the one stating they were better deals.
  17. New cheap compy

An E7200 would've been a better cpu and it cost less. As far as the boards P35>G31>GeForce 7100
  18. Who told you that lie? :glare::glare: Another one that completely ignored what I posted
  19. Upcoming concerts

I'm probably being a little too harsh. I go to a concert to be entertained, and I expect interaction from a band. This is were Dragonforce fails. Their performance is the same as listening to a CD, just live. They'll say "We're Dragon, this song is called ...", they swing their hair, jump around and thats about it. If you're not passionate about their music it's very boring. Many bands I've never liked before have gained my respect and audience through live performance and Dragonforce is not one of those. Who knows, they might surprise me this time around.
  20. Upcoming concerts

Last summer had more to offer, but none the less I will surpass the 250 mark on concerts attended. July 10; Vans Warped Tour '08, Orlando FL July 12; Edgefest 2008, Toronto Canada July 19; Projekt Revolution 2008, Camden NJ July 22; Projekt Revolution 2008, Jones Beach NY July 23; Projekt Revolution 2008, Holmdel NJ July 30; Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, West Palm Beach FL Aug 01; Projekt Revolution 2008, West Palm Beach FL Aug 02; Projekt Revolution 2008, Tampa FL Aug 03; Projekt Revolution 2008, Atlanta GA I'll toss in some other shows as they come. Yes, I know thats a lot of Projekt Revs, but when you have a crazy friend thats fulfilling a New Years resolution and your crazy enough to join em this is what you deal with. Ev your going to wish you never went to the Dragonforce concert. You'll never think of them the same way. Either that or your just completely blind/death to the fact that they're bad performers. Same applies to Tool and Coheed & Cambria fans.
  21. :glare: Someone ignored the list I put up. Not to mention if you want to play DX10 games then you need Vista.
  22. Happy Birthday
  23. Good or bad?

It's an outdated system, but what you do depends on your budget. Same question as Misanthrope AGP or PCI-E?
  24. New cheap compy

The DS3L is a great board, but why such a pricey chip on a budget PC?
