  1. A win is a win Hey, I know how it feels to have to wait almost an entire season to your team get a win. It's a relief, especially when they've lost a lot of games by 3 points or less and there were plenty of blown coaching decisions. Getting rid of Culpepper for Green was a big mistake, and we still find it hard to cheer for Ginn. Having to take a former rival QB isn't the greatest, but we'll take the wins. As we say in Miami win or lose we boo.
  2. LETS GO DOLPHINS!!! The AFC East in insane right now. Everyone has a chance to be in it. I WANT to use my playoff rights damit! Keep this streak alive Dolphins! Lol... at the drunk Bills fan who started crying when her team lost. I thought of you Jen :^) Patriots can diaf, that is the one game that everyone has been harassing me about. My section is set to bring the noise. It's too bad I have a feeling 1/2 the stadium is going to be on the Patriots side.
  3. You can have multiple operating systems on a computer, but as far as I know you can only switch between them on a restart.
  4. Gaming notbook.

It's not impossible, but it can be done if you wait for a deal. Black Friday isn't to far away. Less than two months ago, in September, Best Buy put the Gateway M-6862 on clearance for around $500. Prices varied at each store. While you wouldn't want to play Crysis on it, CS:S and TF2 would be just fine on it. Either hold out for a deal, search for a used gamer, or dish out the cash. EDIT: Specs on the M-6862 were: Intel Centrino Core2Duo T5750 2.0 Ghz processor 4GB RAM 250 GB HDD ATI Mobility RADEON HD 2600 w/512MB memory (dedicated card) 5-in-1 Memory Card Reader Webcam HDMI output Wireless-N Vista 64-bit
  5. Sound problems

Are you using a sound card or integrated audio? In either case go into playback devices (Control Panel.Sounds) and make sure everything is configured correctly. Make sure you have the proper playback device enabled, and that it is configured to 5.1 or whatever set-up you have.
  6. baseball!

Party all you want, I'm not mad. I just recognize the ability to over hyped and the annoyance that comes from New Englanders. You pretty much just displayed it and proved my point in your post along with some of your previous others. The Patriots party has been shut down, and the Red Sox are about to go home.
  7. baseball!

I saw this on a license plate frame once "My favorite team are the the Red Sox and anyone who can beat the Yankees" I've taken that and turned it into "My favorite team is anyone who can shut the Red Sox fans up" I go to Marlins games all the time, so I support them. I have no real favorite team, but I am a fan of players. Teams I don't like are the Phillies or Red Sox. In other words, I'm pulling for the Rays to win the World Series.
  8. How is that their fault? It's been a requirement for many high powered cards for several years now. Your power supply should have come equipped with the extra 6 pin power connector, if not just purchase a cheap adapter. No need to replace the entire card.
  9. Socket 775 is what is currently used with Intel. It wouldn't apply to the Phenom 9950 which uses Socket AM2+ motherboards.
  10. If you're looking for something with integrated graphics, the NVIDIA 8200 and the AMD 780G are pretty solid. As far as full ATX boards with IG, there aren't any that stand out above the rest, so the MSI is a solid choice. The only thing missing from it is an HDMI port. Don't know if that's important to you, but just pointing it out. There are a couple others around the price range that include it. Other than that, a micro board isn't a bad choice if you're not going to add much to it. The CPU is a solid rival to the Q6600, particularly now that their prices are the same. The only thing I worth mentioning is that AMD should be releasing their 45nm chips by the end of the year.
  11. I don't know if it's still the case, but the 780g has had trouble powering 125w chips. Any particular reason why you're going with a mATX board? I hope you're not planning on gaming with the integrated graphics. The 780g is the equivalent of an HD3450 and can even run crossfire with it, but by no means do they compare to even a modest $50 graphic card.
  12. What motherboard do you have? What's the rating on your RAM? Basically just go into your BIOS: - disable speed step - use your highest rated multiplier (I think it's x9 on the e4300) - raise the FSB to match your RAM speed at a 1:1 ratio or just use 333MHz to be safe. Don't use the NVIDIA control panel.
  13. You're right. I think it runs off of SATA power, which is the longer connector on the left. A WD Secure connect cable should do it or you can have them connected individually.
  14. Blue if you have a WD SATA Secure connect cable Green if you have a standard SATA cable Red is supposed to be where the power is, but I don't remember if that's what it looked like. I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be pins. Don't plug anything into the non-highlighted pins.
  15. I got it, but the actual singer wasn't from Alaska.
  16. Going to NY

    That's because you're boring.
  17. Going to NY

Have fun and stay safe. Can't imagine someone like you could get into too much trouble.
  18. You're all wrong. He has speed-step enabled that's why his multiplier is x 6.0 If your computer needs the power it'll up the multiplier to its normal level. It's just a feature meant to conserve energy. Run something like a virus scan and watch CPU-Z pick up. You can disable speed-step in your BIOS if you want, but it's not necessary. There's nothing wrong with your PC.
  19. Dragonf0rce

Saw them at Mayhem Fest. I dont care what anyone says, they are not AWESOME live. I felt like the guy was going to cry.

  21. If you like the speed of Chrome and the features of Firefox, Opera is the browser to go with. It takes a bit to get accustomed to it, and you should customize some things for max performance, but it gets the job done. I'm currently on 9.52, not sure if I'll jump on the beta yet.
  22. I'm retired from distributed computing, at least for now. Trying to reach folder of the month with our small community is crazy. There are some massive teams out there. Regardless, if someone wants to donate some spare CPU time and electricity, it's for a good cause.
  23. Lol... thats definitely not Agnes Szavay Out of the ones you posted, my vote goes to Ana Ivanovic
  24. I wouldn't mind an ala carte option, but the packages should still remain. Florida and New York have great packages, but if you're getting ass raped in D.C you should and have an option. It's either that or get the Satellite Dish special
