TJ is literally a bench piece. He can be replaced. I'm excited for Josh Richardson, I'm just upset we gave up Saric and Covington for half a season of Butler.

I agree because when I play JB I just want to chill and just have a good time but I know playing the same 5 or 6 maps over and over can get stale for people. I know for me that playing the same maps over several years has made it pretty stale for me, but I still play because it's fun to shit on people as CT (xd). As Gentoo said: This was the main thing I was going for. I wanted a meta change, not an effort change, but I can see the adverse effects of this idea. Thanks, @TheZZL @Gentoo @Trazz for the feedback. I can see why this wouldn't work but I think it would be cool if there was a way that only benefitted the server that spiced up the meta and map rotation a little.

Hello, I am suggesting that on JB if a map has a side (most likely T) win 10 rounds, the map should switch. In my opinion, if a side has won 10 rounds, the map has definitely run its course. For instance: say on vipinthemix T wins the first 10 rounds, and the map was extended and still has 7-10 minutes left it can get stale for some people if one side is overwhelmingly winning. I say the map would run its course because a round where the Ts win will last around 2 1/2 to 4 minutes so that gives ~25 minutes to 40 minutes on the same map with potentially more time left. That gives ample time on a single map. I think adding a system where the map is switched after a side has won 10 will help keep maps fresher and hopefully encourage more maps to be used on a regular basis. The next map would be voted on when one side had 7 or 8 wins. I don't know when the next community JB meeting is, so I thought it would be better just to bring it up here and maybe have it discussed further then if people were down for this.

@Military_king I tried manually replicating this bug by asking some people to lr me with RPS but it worked like normal. @Bacon @thump What maps did this bug occur on for you guys? I'm beginning to think it only occurs on some maps or with some people? Edit: I doubt it would only occur with some people, but only occurring on some maps is more likely the issue.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Because when I died I got two messages "you didn't choose rock, paper, or scissors in time!" (or something like that) and "you are unable to accept another LR while already in one" So I think there's a bug with RPS (maybe others too) where if you get sent another LR request it may force the LR to end? So with RPS it kills you but perhaps with the other ones it would say you cheated or force-end the LR? I'll try and get a few people to help me duplicate this later and see if it was a one-off thing or is something that is consistent @Military_king

Today when playing R-P-S as a LR with a T, I was given about one second before being killed for not choosing in time which is kinda dumb because you can, like many CTs do just blindly accept the LR and not really pay attention to which LR was chosen and be killed when just trying to find the T that LRed you. My suggestion is to allow like 3-4 seconds for someone to choose so they can at least realize what they're doing without being killed for a silly reason. Just my two cents.

There's pros to that but many more cons imo. Would be more of a nuisance to remember to do that more than anything. Maybe just me.

Couldn't have said it better myself. At this point, it's more of an honor code thing compared to a rule thing. This rule has been in place for as long as I can remember. I also remember when I was like 15-16 (2-3 years ago) most CTs would actually be pretty lenient and give Ts a chance to drop the primary if they involuntarily got passed the gun from a T-mate's death or T-mate throwing the gun to them. But, nowadays it seems most CTs will just focus more on their K/D and just get the kills. The most you can do is give a little leniency in situations where it's obvious the T has no control over getting the run. And when you're on T, just try to stay away from the person with the primary unless you are rebelling.

Perhaps do it the old fashioned way? set up a 10 slot server for comp, pre-select teams, do a tournament? just make sure people join the correct teams and such I never owned CSS so this may not be possible but this was just the first thing I thought of.

I'll check out the 970. Back when I used my craptop for everything, the hard drive that came with the laptop kicked the can and I got a replacement that was a hybrid ssd and hdd. They put my OS on the ssd and the rest on the hdd and my 5 year old laptop did and still does boot in a snap compared to what it used to. I would think the same would apply to my PC. Not saying my PC is slow, I'm just really picky and have expensive tastes and high expectations for computers. Also would want to go for the 1TB because I'm heading to college in the fall and I'd want my most important stuff on the SSD.

That's what I would have planned to do. I currently have a 1TB western digital. It came with the PC.

So my HDD that came with my computer (1TB) is getting close to filling up like so many games now take upwards of 20-100 GB depending on what you're playing, and on top of games, I, of course, have other personal pictures, videos, etc. So I was debating on what to do regarding getting some more storage for my PC. I was thinking of getting a 1TB SSD Samsung 860 Evo. It's around $130 and has many, many positive reviews and seems to be very reliable. On top of this, I had planned to move my games and computer OS to the SSD so my pc and games run and boot faster. Does anyone have other suggestions for HDDs or SSDs? Does anyone think it would be unwise to move my OS and games to the SSD?

@leo I have personally been here on the servers since 2014, and JB was around before that I'm pretty sure.

It is what people enjoy. This community clearly enjoys it enough to give the server a steady and good player count on a day-to-day basis. You can call us "trolls" if you'd like but changing this server to be like another would create a sense of boredom for many people, that's what's great about having many different communities within the CS public servers: If you like it, cool! Stay a while. If not, then you have all the freedom to go check out another server to see if that rule set pleases your tastes better. There ARE mic restrictions and mutes. Admins have all the power to go ahead and mute people and many times the people of the server knowing the rules will most of the time tell micspammers to shut the f--- up. Easy guns is perfect for the playstyle of the server- fast and exciting. They can die very easily if there are good CTs on. You can believe what you want but all I'm saying is you're the one who bought VIP and is monetarily supporting the server you criticize so heavily. Also, the pops were high before CS became free to play, just fyi.

Personally, the Colts-Titans game is a gut feeling for me. I feel like the Titans can pull one out even with the odds stacked against them. For the Eagles game- YES. The Bears defence is solid, and I even admitted they're a formidable opponent. I just say this because Foles has been playing outstandingly over the last couple of weeks. Riding your personal predicition off of someone getting injured is more questionable than my predicition. See my reply to Deli for my opinion on the Cowboys game. I know the Bowl is probably gonna be Pats-Saints but the Chargers pick is just wishful thinking, since I really do hate the Pats.

Chargers have a stadium lacking their own fans and is smaller than every other stadium, and still went 11-4. Not to mention they're 6-1 away. Eagles just beat the Rams in LA a few weeks ago. Also that has a lot of personal bias, being an Eagles fan.
