IMO both were poop for $150 each. The Game Zeros had poor build quality and barely any bass. It made voices sound almost robotic. The Custom Games were the opposite. They had a muffled sound due to too much bass. The both of them had good mics. I bought the Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS (semi closed back) and the Massdrop Sennheiser HD58X Jubilee (open back) and I am very pleased. Took me a while to settle on these two but they are the best I could find to suit my needs.

If you have a 3.5mm jack based headset you can get: V-MODA BoomPro Microphone - https://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-BoomPro-Microphone-Gaming-Communication/dp/B00BJ17WKK If not, you would have to get a modmic or standalone microphone. Modmics are not cheap, but they are the best non-standalone microphones you can buy. The V-MODA is as good as Modmic 4 but not as good as Modmic 5. I currently use the Blue Snowball Ice. It is only $50. You can see how I sound in TS if you want. This mic works best when your mouth is 7 inches or less away from the microphone. Condenser mics will pick up background noise more than XLRs but are better for recording and having that "studio like" sound. I use push to talk so it is irrelevant for me.

Assigning people to teams seems a lot less fun than people having influence over their own. Also, in the past, individuals who may not play at SG often have shown up for scrim related events. Friends of friends for example. Either way, I think people should have some sort of influence over their teams so that they can play with people who they know/are comfortable with/have some sort of chemistry with/like/etc.

I would be interested in a tournament. Idea: Instead of pre-determined teams or random why not just do a captains draft after everyone has signed up. 30 people sign up = 6 teams. Make 6 people captains. Let them "roll" for pick order. Then, they pick from the 24 people that are left until 0 people are left to choose from.

Would it not be possible to setup the plugin on the MGT server and give it a trial run? Or at least have it on the MGT server when its not being used? Feel like that server sits there doing nothing most of the time.

I don't see why it is a big deal to you. How do innocents know someone is a Traitor? Only two ways: 1) They start shooting at you/someone else. or 2) They do not id a body. Traitors are already strong enough as it is. If you don't want to get killed by an Innocent then make sure you id bodies. Camping unided bodies as an Innocent is a strategy that should be utilized. People do need to realize that the lingo is "Walk over/past an unided body" not "Doesnt id an unided body". If someone opens a door and sees an unided body and does not id it, that doenst mean you can kill them. They need to run into the room near the body itself and decide not to id it. Running 40 yards away from an unided body and not iding it is not the same as running 10 yards away. This is left up to the players/admins discretion on how the Innocent treated the situation.

I thought about putting them on the list, but at the $150+ price-point they were outclassed by the alternatives. For a sub $100 headset, I would argue the M40X is very hard to beat for closed-back.

I have been doing research on what headphones to get for mainly gaming. I listen to music a lot (mainly alternative rock and indie; sometimes rap and hip hop). I have only ever used closed back headphones. My environment is not noisy, but I do like the subversive feeling. I tried the Game Zero and it was very dull in the bass department. It made people sound slightly robotic. Next I tried the Beyerdynamic Custom Game and they were better, but the sound doesnt feel right. Things sound almost too bassy and muffled while playing games. Truthfully, I am dissatisfied with both (even with their great microphones). I really wanted an all in one headset + mic, but the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 seems to be the only alternative and it is very expensive. Anyways, I narrowed down a list of potential winners that I was hoping you guys may have experience with. Maybe you have used a few before. I wasnt trying to bash on the FFA people, but I tend to agree. I could care less about playing on FFA the way it is setup now. I really enjoy KZ and I think someone brought that up as well in another thread somewhere last month or earlier this month. KZ and 1v1 are both gamemodes I would enjoy that SG doesnt have.

Yea but how long ago was that? I didnt even know there are 2 FFA servers. I really think moving one of those to a 1v1 server would be a great play.

I dont understand why there is a SG FFA DM server, but not a SG 1v1 Arena server. I understand there used to be a SG 1v1 Arena server in the past and it was removed/replaced, but I feel SG is really missing out on a popular game mode right here. The game mode itself is sought after by many people now more than it used to be in past years. I have to go to other communities to play on their servers instead, and their servers are always populated. Please bring back 1v1 arena on a 32 slot 128 tick server. I really believe it would take off. I know I would be a regular. Maybe even use the monthly community gathering server as a test run or something.
