  1. Hey everyone, We are finally at a spot where we can do some mass promotions for all of the people that are filling into these new ranks! We've been moving people over since yesterday, so it may not be as big of a surprise...but they deserve some recognition anyways! To the Administrative Team, we are promoting Dominic, Fluid, Roux, Kyle, and Reid! They have all earned the trust that comes along with managing a server, and we are sure that they will do some excellent work! Their new job description is: The Administrative Team has overall responsibility for our gaming servers and their operations. Each member either solely or as a group manages one of our various gaming servers. Verify that servers are operational Reboot dead/lagged servers Assist in training new admins Monitor the Teamspeak 3 server Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3 Search for new maps for all servers Upload maps to the servers and fast downloads site Edit map lists & rotations Issue permanent bans to players via request from SA's An old rank that a lot of you probably won't recognize is the Administrative Manager! While the role is a tad different, it is still quite important! Mad Dogg is going to be filling this spot, and he has more than earned it! His duties will include the same as anyone on the Administrative Team, but he is going to focus on making sure that the team is running smoothly. He will be reporting directly to the board and will be in charge of the operations that involve our servers! We are still hashing out some of the minor details with the Junior Technical Administrator rank, but it is essentially going to be a stepping stone to full blown TA. We will be ensuring that everyone at this rank is fully up to par before we start releasing full access to them. Not that we don't trust them, we just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page. So, to this rank, we are promoting Repus and Mr.Trololol. Both have been around for awhile, are in good standing with the community, and have amazing tech experience! Their new job description: This position was formed to help improve our gaming environment and increase response time to server issues. Fix technical issues that arise day to day (servers/site) Research/manage mods, scripts, and plugins to improve our servers Develop solutions to improve our servers/mods performance Discover and fix exploits against our servers/site Assist in data backup operations for the community's data Assist AO's when problems arise or others are on vacation Onto the Events Team! There were a lot of applications for this rank, but we have chosen Sean, Senpai, Ryo5678 & Fluid! These three will be working hard to make sure that SG is full of shit to keep everyone entertained. Their job description: The events team is responsible for promoting various activities, competitions and general events for the community. Organize, plan, and run events Manage/Promote special events on our servers Manage and monitor gaming tournaments Make sure servers are ready for all special events Schedule events to fill servers in need via the steam community Manage and monitor gaming tournaments (ie. SGSL) Work with Game Divisions to create events that cater to community interests And, of course, this team needs a leader! We are going to be putting Leon Mordecai as the Events Manager! He has shown a lot of hard work in his role of managing servers, so we are sure he will do a great job in his role of managing a team of people! His duties are the same as the Events Team, but he will also be reporting directly to the BD's and ensuring that the team is running smoothly. The Media Team also had a lot of applications! While this one was also hard to decide who to accept, we ended up selecting Euro, Lampshade, Post, and ShoieP! All of these people are old time members, and we are happy to have them aboard! Their new details: The Media Team is responsible for managing our design, artwork and graphics for our website and various platforms (in-game, voice, etc.). Manage forum and community website themes and layouts Manage all forum and community images (awards, rankbars, etc) Manage forum design sections (signature/avatar requests, etc) Work with Marketing team to manage branding and community logos/external advertising Work with Game Divisions to keep in-game branding and design (map textures for SG) up to date and relevant Work with Marketing team to manage social media accounts (Youtube, Twitch, etc) And, last but not least, a the Media Manager is going to be Floffy! Floffy is a very old member here who has done countless amounts of artwork associated with our forums that you see today - including our logo! He will be directly in charge of this team and reporting to the BD's. A lot of promotions here! I don't think we've ever promoted this many people before, so it's exciting to give all of these people the opportunity to shine in their own way. We thank you guys for your patience with us releasing this new rank system. Not everything is completed, but we are almost there. There will be more promotions in the near future, and possibly new teams opened up as well. These people will forever be the first be the holders of what we believe will be a rank associated with SG for many years to come! Congrats to you all!
  2. More of you guys should apply for the marketing team - you'll get to work with outside entities and get our name out there! thanksssssssss :love::love:
  3. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but discussion of drug usage is against the forum rules because it violates the US’s federal law. I don’t really care if it’s a comment or two in passing, a joke, something related to a news article, media reference, or whatever, but let’s avoid threads made specifically to discuss your favorite type of a drug, yeah?
  4. I'm so proud of you two...they grow up so fast.
  5. Good afternoon everyone, We aren't quite ready to fully announce the new teams and whatnot yet, so we did not want to delay a promotion that is long overdue. Unfortunately, Liam Brown has decided to step down, and we are obviously going to put him at LG. We thank him for all his hard work here at SG. To the rank of Technical Manager, we are going to promote Nishok! Nishok is a longtime member and has helped SG in many different ranks, including BD. Promoting him to fill the spot of TM was a no-brainer, and we know that he will do an excellent job. His main duties remain the same, however he will be in charge of the TA Team, ensuring that all tasks get done in a timely manner and everything is running smoothly. Round of applause to Nishok! Also, we thank you guys for your patience in us releasing this new rank system. We are slowly but surely making sure everything is in order, and are slowly implementing these changes. PS: Liam Brown is actually being promoted to the Board of Directors. He busts his ass for this place, and his promotion is long overdue. His new duties will include Support/build/fix servers Approve admin applications Set up new Admin and Subscriber access Issue admin warnings/punishments Keep the community updated of any changes Final say in all admin disputes Plan for growth (website/servers) Support forum/plugins/logos Review and implement community suggestions Promote/demote server admins Manage public relations/marketing/events Be a role model to all admins/setting by example Collect donations, manage subscriptions, and pay the bills Manage the website, forums, and bansite Manage AO staffing and responsibilities ... anything else that needs to be done :clap::clap::clap::clap:
  6. Unfortunately i can’t do high (or even medium) impact on my legs. They’re pretty fucked up from the military - so my cardio is extremely limited to what i can do.
  7. If you start doing the math it starts making more sense. Average gym membership out here is $50 a month, excluding any type of fees (annual dues, hidden shit, etc). Obviously there’s the increased luxury i can work out whatever i want whenever i want, which is worth the extra amount. A lot of the shit that gyms offer is gimmicky BS used to recruit people, in my opinion. 7k ain’t shit though - just doing a quick google search shows those pro style dumbbells at around 3.6k, including shipping. The DB racks are like 200-300 each, and there’s three. Squat rack is roughly a grand. The flooring is $60 a mat, and there’s 12. I’m over 5k with that, and i haven’t even touched any machines or plates lol. its worth it if you’re gonna use it - if not, then obviously it’s not worth it. The great thing about weights is they don’t depreciate in value, virtually at all
  8. i hate cutting anyways, here's the new setup. sorry i hold the camera like I'm in the blaire witch project. cost me about 7k i think in total, including a lot of odd and end equipment not in the vid. if you know the gym equipment in the video, you know that's a stupidly low price, the dumbbells / racks alone are worth almost that. super happy with the way it all came together though.
  9. haven't forgotten about posting the pics - I've just been waiting for it to get done before I post anything. I'm waiting on a preacher bench to come in and a timer to come in, then I'm done. Once those come in (I think within the week), I'll mop the place again and post another thread (this one is no longer accurate because no longer bulking =[ )
  10. Public, save for Community Advisor.
  11. Hello everyone, Sorry this thread was delayed by a day - we meant to get this out yesterday after the meeting, but I was unfortunately way too swamped to get something typed up. For those of you who were at the meeting, this will serve as a general recap / reminder...for those who were not, this is hopefully going to explain our changes in the easiest possible fashion. We understand there is bound to be some confusion, so bear with us during this transition process. This change stemmed from a conversation between Prez and myself, essentially discussing the problems with our vertical hierarchy structure. We are not losing a bunch of population, we're not losing a bunch of subscribers, and we're NOT anywhere near shutting down. The vertical hierarchy process is killing us from expanding. The reason why is because essentially we're forcing people to become Server Administrators, Community Advisors, and then Administrative Officers. Some people have no interest in doing CA meetings but they want to be an AO and do server work. They sit at CA for so long, put up with the bullshit, and eventually leave. The retention rate is not amazing. That being said, we're going to open up a couple of teams. After us coming up with something to take to the rest of the BD's, we got them involved...then got the AO's involved...then the CA's, etc. We are, at this current moment, forcing people to be actively engaged in each aspect of the ladder in order to climb up - when in reality, some people still want to contribute to the community without dealing with meetings, or server management, or ban appeals, etc. So, what we decided to do was create a few different ranks, as well as shuffle the responsibilities a tad, and ensure that specific groups are focusing on a specific, smaller list of tasks...while at the same time allowing people to be a part of multiple ranks if wanted (will be explained further) - so they can be as actively involved in the community as they want! We are introducing a Media Team, Events Team, and Marketing Team, along with managers for each team. We also will make changes to the other admin ranks. Initially, we planned on cutting out Community Advisors, however, we discussed it further and realized we didn't need to. Essentially the Community Advisor rank remains the same in terms of responsibilities, but it will be considered a secondary rank instead of a primary rank, which is what it is now. Powers in the servers will remain exactly the same, forum moderation will remain the same, just that the rank will be officially a secondary rank. The initial step in the admin process is that people that apply for admin and get approved will start off as an Administrator. They will be given very limited powers only that aid them in enforcing rules and protocol on servers. They will absolutely have no access to fun commands like freeze, burn, slap, etc. This serves two purposes: to help aid in the reduction of the amount of admin complaints we get for people abusing commands like this when they first receive admin, and to be considered an incentive when they reach the next rank, seen below. After 6 months of being an admin, Administrators will automatically be promoted to the rank of Senior Administrator. This rank comes with a few extra commands such as the fun commands. This will be the incentive for sticking around and not getting into trouble as an Administrator. Administrators may be promoted early for good behavior by the BD's if we deem necessary, as well as be held back if there are punishment issues. For those of you Server Administrators we currently have, we will go through and filter you into one of these two ranks. More than likely, if you are sitting with around 4 months time in grade with no issues, we will probably stick you at Senior Administrator - those of you with less will probably be placed into Administrator. This will be case by case, however, and each individual SA will be reviewed. The Events Team will consist of a team whose sole purpose is the creation of events. This includes things like holiday events, server events (to be worked on with managers of a particular server), the raffle, etc. The Media Team is going to be responsible for any type of media related content, such as Youtube videos, banners, forum designs, forum awards, rank bars, etc. The Marketing Team will be responsible for general marketing and promoting of the SG brand, managing advertising, finding sponsors, and researching/managing 3rd party sites/applications. Their goal is to get our name out there as much as possible in a positive light. The Technical Team will be the same as it is now for the most part, but we will also open it up to Junior TA's, which will essentially be people with limited access who want to help out and learn, but we may not want them to have full access just yet. The Game Divisions will be specific to server work. They will no longer be involved in most voting-based discussions like they would be right now. They will still be able to do Player Complaints if they wish to. A Division Manager will be responsible for keeping their Game Division on track and reporting back to the BDs (just like how every other team manager position will work). This change is not to punish the current team, and they are absolutely not doing bad at all, but we're trying to make the rank solely focused on server management. At the end of the day, it's about making everyone's job easier based on given responsibilities. Our team will be part of the CS:GO Division to start and a CS:GO manager will likely be appointed in the near future. More development on this will be soon to follow (stand by!). The eligibility of the CA rank is open from Senior Administrator and above. It's obviously implied that the BDs are involved with the discussions held at the CA level. The Events, Media, Technical, Server and Marketing team members are all eligible to be a Community Advisor. This will be displayed as a secondary rank, and the meetings will now be held for all Administrators and above - they will just be silenced as the CA's run the meeting with the Board and applicable Managers. We have opened these teams up to the AO's first, then the CA's, and we are now opening up the Marketing, Media, Events, and Technical teams all to the public! There are applications that will be available for all of you to apply and possibly get more actively involved in the community in a different aspect than what you are perhaps doing now. There are already several people selected for these teams - which we will go into in another thread...this thread is mainly to lay out the description with the changes. We understand there are going to be a LOT of questions, so please bear with us as we go through them. Please also understand that this is a huge change with a lot of moving parts. At the end of the day, we will constantly evaluate the system - meaning these changes are not solidified by any means, we will adjust slowly as we see fit, and there probably will be several adjustments as we go down the line. We hope that you guys like the new changes and can understand why we are going forward with them! These should all be rolled out within the next couple of days, and, as mentioned, will be constantly monitored and tweaked as the BD's see fit. Thanks!
  12. Air traffic control - so that $4.50 an hour quickly turned into a bit more than that as soon as i got out. Lmao
  13. 17 years old & making $4.50 an hour
  14. Hello everyone, There will be some major community changes being rolled out next week, and we have been anxiously waiting to share them with you guys! Some of the biggest changes this community has ever seen will be implemented after this meeting. The plan is to have a TS meeting where we verbally go over the changes, take questions, etc., and then also post our changes via thread afterward. Like I said, some big changes are coming up, and we want you all to be there! APRIL 15TH @ 3PM EST - TEAMSPEAK
  15. april fools was a week ago
  16. Remind me about it because I’ll forget, but maybe for the month of May, June, or July we’ll donate a portion of SG’s donations towards it.
  17. Hey man...seems like a good cause. When are you trying to reach the donation goal?
  18. You know what time it is! To the rank of Community Advisor, we'd like to welcome Exk! He has shown a lot of hard work as an SA, and we are confident that he will shine as our newest CA. His new duties are: Advise the higher staff on important decisions Handling player complaints and issuing bans Moderation of the forum Give awards to members on request Send group invitations to members on request Keep servers clean from rule breakers Issue warnings/kicks/bans Screenshot/demo proof for permanent bans Request permanent bans via on the forum Post in-game server problems on the forum Help in any way to make the servers fun To Administrative Officer, we'd like to announce DML and Greggy G as SG's newest additions to the team! They both have shown a lot of hard work and dedication, and it was an easy selection to move them on up the ladder. Their duties are now: Verify that servers are operational Reboot dead/lagged servers Manage player bans/appeals Assist in training new admins Handle admin complaints Handle disputes among fellow admins Monitor the Teamspeak 3 server Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3 Search for new maps for all servers Upload maps to the servers and fast downloads site Edit map lists & rotations Issue permanent bans to players via request from SA's Handle reported posts on the forum Please welcome all of them to their new positions!
  19. so...what about jack in the box tacos? asking for... a friend
  20. man oh man obviously have not been keeping up with this thread at all. Real life has been fucking nuts the past month or two, and I've barely even had time to pick up a video game. I've been getting a lot more into Rich Piana videos and advice and whatnot, and took something he said really to heart: There's no such thing as over-training, just under-eating and under-sleeping. Obviously a bit of a controversial topic, but I agree with it to a decent extent. I'm not saying you can do the same muscle group every. single. day...but I don't believe in rest days, and I haven't had one in awhile, unless it's needed because I'm just busy or something. If you rotate muscles intelligently, you don't need a rest day - IE if I initiate muscle hypertrophy on my biceps on Monday - my chest, triceps, legs, etc. don't need to rest on Tuesday lol. But, that's what works for me (yes, I do regular, extensive doctor visits and am fully healthy). Do whatever works for you and doesn't compromise your health. Also started using a vast amount of 5% (Rich Piana's brand) supplements over the past month and a half - so if any of you have questions on it let me know. It's actually really good stuff for the most part. Anyways, I got totally off topic - the point I was getting at is that I'm forcing myself to actually sleep 8 hours a day, minimum. I'm used to getting 4-6 just from the military lifestyle, so it was a struggle. With sleeping that much, work, school, housework, etc., I barely even have time to do basic shit on here lol. I think stuff is sort of settling down for now, but we shall see. In regards to my current fitness plan, I was gonna make a thread once I get the garage officially done, but I'll post a small update on where I'm at now: Brother had about 10-15k worth of gym equipment in his garage that he was getting rid of, so I ended up buying it all off of him for 4. I wasn't really looking to set up a garage gym, but for all that equipment, couldn't say no. So I've kinda slowly been in the process of cleaning the garage out top to bottom sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, repeating, etc. I laid horse stable mats down (very thick material and very sturdy), put 3'x5' mirrors up all along one of my walls, then on the other wall mounted an extra TV I had and am currently in the process of mounting the squat rack. Ended up getting a ton of equipment though: prostyle dumbbells from 5-130lbs in pairs, three large racks for said dumbbells that sit along my wall, stationary bench, adjustable bench (both quite nice), squat rack w/ pullup bar, barbell, EZ bar, assortment of kettlebells, assortment of medicine balls, assortment of slam balls, seated calf raise machine, two-in-one leg machine, landmine, few plate trees, and an assortment of plates from 2.5lbs up to 45lbs. On top of that, I already had a heavy bag / speed bag, row machine, and some other stuff that in total makes the setup pretty fucking sweet. I'll post pictures once I get the squat rack mounted and I'm able to sweep and mop again one more time. Diet / exercise wise I'm on a cut. It's horrible. Low weight high rep is the worst thing in this entire world. Lol seriously though, I've never really been much into it, so it's a fucking ass kicker doing it every day now. I feel like I'm starting all over again, and am pretty sore every day. I'm sitting at about 190lbs right now, maybe shooting for 180. My diet is about 1200-1500 calories, mostly of chicken, greens, and a reasonable portion of fruit early in the day. I'm not doing 'no carb', but I'm just actively monitoring what I eat and keeping it low. I bumped up my fiber supplement intake, and also started getting back on an intermittent fasting with a 10 hour window of eating. I feel pretty good tbh. Because chicken is only like 230 calories a breast, I can pretty much eat every two hours during my window and be fine. But yeah, I'll probably post another thread when I get all the equipment fully set up and shit.
  21. Favorite car?

I think it's subjective on what you're trying to do. I just got rid of my corolla and am trying to get rid my bike, but my hellcat & bronco provide an awesome contrast of driving experiences. I love tearing shit up in the bronco, but I also love driving fast on an open road with the 707hp in my hellcat.
  22. I've done stuff like this in the past when games have gone on sale, like when they did Star Wars bundles, but I haven't done the subscription for Humble. The non subscription bundle they release every so often (I can't remember if it's weekly or what the exact timeframe is) is 90% of the time full of bullshit. But the subscription portion of it seems to have decent games that would be worth it. @Black Rain Thoughts? Not a bad idea tbh. We can get together soon and go over this, but I can set up a subscription to it and give you the codes.
  23. Add me on steam! Let’s play something soon!
