Who Got Banned and Why
topic replied to Caution's Caution in Announcements
Insidious has been permanently banned for pedophilia. For those of you who do not know: I am held directly liable for the content that is posted on this website, on the teamspeak, and on the servers. That does not mean I will get in trouble based upon other people's actions necessarily - it means that if someone does something illegal and I know about it and do nothing to prevent / report it, I can be held criminally and civilly liable. This isn't even a debatable topic - seriously guys. Go into your search engine and type in 'Is it illegal to flirt with minors?' Then type 'Can website owners be held liable for illegal activity?' - I'm not going to poke around in your guys' shit randomly because I think I'm a private investigator, but if you do illegal shit here and we catch wind of it, we have to take action. Let this serve as a warning that we are not fucking around when it comes to this. To sum up this specific situation - A few months ago: Insidious was in a relationship with a 13 year old boy at this community. When myself / the other higher ups found out, we questioned Insidious (and he admitted to the relationship) and we eventually decided not to perm him - which was a bad decision by us, but told him to stay the fuck away from the kid. Insidious made a huge fuss when I told him he was no longer allowed to hang out with the kid in a public setting here at SG. Now: Insidious continues to make what may be construed as jokes to some people, but I, nor the Board, find it fucking funny. If you admit to dating a thirteen year old boy, you lose the ability to make pedophile remarks and jokes and expect them to not be taken seriously. That child that is calling him 'dad', that child that is flirting with him in public...that child is registered on the forums as nine years old. Insidious and him flirt with each other on here and off of here via steam. He also sent another member here a picture of the nine year old boy saying 'isn't he cute'. @SpikedRocker and I had a TeamSpeak conversation with Insidious about 5 minutes ago. During this conversation, after showing him this evidence, he defended that it's totally normal to talk to nine year old boys like this. He then accused me of being the weird one. I brought Spikedrocker along to this conversation specifically because Spiked defended him a few months ago when we were discussing punishments due to how Insidious was respected here at this community and overall how he had been a good admin prior to this. In fact, Spiked and I got into one of our most heated arguments about this. Not to have an 'I told you so' moment to Spiked, but because Insidious needed to hear that someone who was defending him not to long ago was extremely disappointed and disgusted in him. During the TeamSpeak conversation we had with him, he essentially said he was going to give his version of the story to anyone who asks - which is fine. We have proof as well as witnesses who were there during the TS conversations. And look, let me be extremely clear when I say that there is nothing wrong with joking around. I obviously don't want an environment where we are politically correct, but I was unfortunately pushed to a point where I was legally held liable for what was going on here. If that nine year old boy's parents found out what was going on between him and Insidious, I would be done. This website would be done. In a heartbeat. If any of you question the validity of this ban, I have no problem explaining anything further to you. Come find me. If you think I banned Insidious because I don't like him - I would have just done that two months ago. This would also be why I had Spiked do about 95% of the talking at our TeamSpeak meeting with Insidious. Liking or disliking somebody has nothing to do in this situation - if you and I are best friends and you do something like this, I will perm you if we have the proof. To the people (if any - I honestly do not know) who knew about this relationship and stood idly by without saying anything: I am extremely disgusted with you especially. You are what makes me have no faith in humanity. Please leave this community and do not come back. Kudos to those who said something. Insidious needs some severe, severe help...but we are forced to cut ties and alert the authorities with what has gone on. The kid was also banned, unfortunately, because we are backed into a corner where we don't have a choice. I completely understand that this portion may not come off as fair, but it's a shitty legal situation where my hands are tied. -
I think it’s a good idea tbh and would be okay with trying it out. Just my thoughts.

I will more than likely never spend money for a Minecraft server for SG. This has been done - at this point literally - a half dozen times and failed every single time.

I mean I've more or less been into it since I was in the Marines. But it wasn't really like weight training, it was more endurance shit, but I've had a few medical issues from all that crap (80% disabled, going for 100% lol) so I slowly started losing touch with it. I was never like amazing or anything, but my best three mile run was 19:30, which isn't too bad either, I guess. I got into lifting a lot more about 8 months ago when I got mugged outside of a bar by three guys. I was extremely pissed at myself for only being able to take on two, so I started getting more into lifting lol. I've pretty much been lifting 6-7 days a week since then (I don't personally agree with full days off on a consistent basis just to 'rest', but that's just me I guess and it works for me). I was like...180lb-185lb back then and right now I'm 215lb, trying to get up to 250 for a short-mid term goal, and eventually 300. Obviously I want to minimize fat intake, but I don't give a shit about a six pack and super duper low body fat. I'm in a constant bulking cycle lol. Yeah I've taken jack3d before but it was 6 years ago. From what I've heard, they banned it for a little bit then reintroduced it so it's not as bad? I don't honestly know how accurate that is and I don't really care enough to look it up. -

Hello everyone, Just a quick announcement - we are bringing back the rank of Technical Manager. While I'm sure most of you have already guessed who will assume this role...please welcome Liam Brown to his new role! His duties will more or less be the exact same, but he is a bit more directly involved in where our TA's are spending their time fixing stuff. Essentially, he's in charge of TA prioritization and accountability. Please welcome him to his new rank! -

Crack. The good stuff. Powder of the Gods. Whether you mix it in water, take it raw, or roll a dollar bill and sniff it the old fashioned way - it's one of the greatest creations in all of mankind. I drink it all day. I need some recommendations. Unfortunately, I develop a pretty good tolerance to preworkouts, so I end up having to take double, triple, or even quadruple the serving sizes after a few days. So I need some recommendations of stuff you guys have taken that is out of this fucking world. Don't want no bitch shit up in hurr what I've taken: NO xplode (best imo) Hyde C4 Curse GX7 If it's on that list, don't bother suggesting it. But I know there are some pre workouts that are underground but are amazing, and that's more or less what I'm looking for. -
Anyone have a special training to lose fat ?
topic replied to Caution's Fardoche0 in Food and Fitness
Ass/u/me Unless I said 'Nitram, you directly said this, so this is directly talking to you...' This is a thread that is in general a discussion - some of what I am saying is a counter argument to what you say, and other parts are information in regards to health that has nothing to do with what you say lol. I would just tell you if I was talking to you - inferring is for pussies. -

Which would make me reason that you skipped over entirely what I said lol. It's not 'fiction' in a literal sense. It's vastly overhyped and extremely incorrect in my opinion (which the article I linked explained exactly why) to assume that it's always going to be the answer lol. -

Your expertise doesn't negate mine, nor does mine negate yours. I simply stated my background to reiterate that I'm not arbitrarily saying things, if that makes sense. I didn't say that you specifically did. Yes, fat and weight loss can (not always are) two different things in technicality - but they are not two different things to the layman. When someones says "I want to lose weight", 99.99% of the time they are referencing fat. Unless someones is already gigantic, there are not many people who want to lose muscle lol. There are many, many more things to take into account, other than calories. Even if we are not talking about different body types like endomorphic and ectomorphic, if someone is, for arguments sake, 50 pounds overweight (due to fat) and they eat cookies and candy and soda all day long to achieve 3000 calories every day, with a burn of 1500 - which overall results in a surplus of 1500 calories. While yes, there are about a dozen ways this person can burn fat (aka 'lose weight'), they could do something as simple as stop putting so much sugar into their body to cause a weight loss. I fluctuate between 215 and 230 with a relatively low body fat (Idk off the top of my head what it is specifically right now). Drinking one soda a day isn't going to do anything for me in the grand scheme of things. You get to a point where you absolutely need a caloric deficit to lose anymore, but if you're looking to lose a vast, vast amount of weight - you could simply cut out sugar if you're a habitual sugar eater. It's not a diet as much as it is controlling when you eat. There are also 10 hour windows of eating, which is completely reasonable for anybody lol. -

So let me first say that my opinions are not arbitrary - I have certifications in the culinary field (was my back up option in life) that included a plethora of health classes. Also in the process of becoming a certified personal trainer. While I'm not trying to like brag or anything of that sort, I'm just pointing out that there is a reason behind what I think. I will also say that there are certain topics that people will just flat out disagree on because the science is not all there (brown rice vs. white rice) - which plays into intermittent fasting a tad. First of all, the notion that a caloric deficit is the only way to lose weight is insane. Our bodies are extremely complex and vary from person to person - if you were to always lose weight in a caloric deficit, you could simply be able to starve yourself entirely and lose weight. Obviously, our bodies do not work this way, and not all calories are created equally. https://rebootedbody.com/calories/ Which is more or less exactly what I am getting at when I say this...but mind you, I'm also more or less talking about fat, not weight in general. In the game of body composition, metabolism, and health in general, we can rarely speak in absolute definitives, just due to people's bodies being so different. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm not saying you're entirely right. If 3,500 calories = one pound, and OP has a deficit of 500 calories a day, he should theoretically (in a lab setting, anyways) be losing 1 pound a week. If OP's diet consisted of nothing but cookies and candy, I would be hard pressed to believe that he is going to lose 1 pound of fat. If he is severely obese, then yes, I completely agree that he could do nothing but a caloric defecit...but the point I'm getting at is that you do not simply need a lack of calories to gain a healthy, low fat body. That just flat out is not how most bodies metabolize sugar, trans fats, etc etc. What I'm saying, in reference to calories, is not that you're wrong, per se, in saying that a deficit can equal weight loss. That is not wrong. What I'm saying is that there are plenty of other ways to go about doing it, and sometimes much healthier alternatives. ----------------------- As far as intermittent fasting goes, I entirely disagree with you. I have personally done intermittent fasting and can attest that it worked great for me. Now, mind you, I was specifically trying to cut fat and was not in a bulking cycle (trying to gain muscle on intermittent fasting isn't a good idea generally imo, unless it's light). I'm confused by this part of your post Do you know what intermittent fasting is lol? Because you can eat a dozen meals during your window of intermittent fasting, if you wanted..or three, or four, or seven, etc. The underlying goal with intermittent fasting is to cut late night eating and to exercise before you start eating, because your body will attack stored fat vs. the shit sitting in your stomach. There are plenty of people who intermittent fast without even knowing it - they stick to an 8 hour window of eating...so like you'd eat 10am - 6pm. You can eat whatever you want and whenever you want in that window...so I don't know where you'd get cravings from. Some people do go a bit crazy with it and do 4 hour eating windows and that's more or less debatable...but you can do everything that you said in an 8 hour window. I think people hear the word 'fast' and think you're starving yourself lol. Intermittent fasting =/= starving yourself, it's choosing appropriate times to eat food and not eat food. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/10-health-benefits-of-intermittent-fasting#section6 -

I'm on my phone so don't mind spelling / grammar errors... You do not always need a caloric deficit to lose weight. Falsefalsefalsefalsefalsefalse and I get into this argument all the time with people. You do not need a caloric deficit to lose weight anymore than you need a surplus to gain muscle. Now dont confuse what im saying - a deficit CAN help you, absolutely, but you have to analyze what you're eating and what your exercise level is. If you eat 2000 calories worth of junk food and greasy food, the notion that 1500 calories of greasy junk food is going to help you is more or less absurd. Eating 2500 calories worth of HEALTHY, lean food will make you lose fat quicker than eating 1500 calories worth of shit food. Yes, there is a certain point where you get that you need a deficit, but usually cutting out shit first will help. Calories play a role in losing weight - absolutely - but there are other factors that may be more important, depending on what you normally eat...ie sugar, fat, etc. In my opinion, people typically defeat themselves before they even start trying. If you try to do a massive overhaul of your life - i.e. Dieting and rigorous exercise, the average person does not have the mental fortitude to do all of that overnight and jump right into a total life change and stick with it. Gradual change is good in this situation because you're trying to stick with it. But this is just my opinion and has no scientific evidence to back it up (maybe it does, I don't know). It's all about prioritizing what you want to do - saying 'I want to have huge arms with a huge chest with a six pack and an amazing butt' isn't a realistic set of goals. Yes, it may be great for a long term and I'm not saying don't strive for it, but setting short term goals will give you plenty of confidence boosts along the way. If youre serious about losing weight, post what you normally eat. Bullshtting wont do anything but hurt yourself. But I can help you cut shit out of your diet if you want. -

I'm confused... CT's tell prisoners to do things General list of things that CT's cannot tell prisoners to do, such as making them kill themselves or trick them into being killed T's get shot / killed if they do not listen ------------- I don't get what is even debatable lol. It matters "if it does no harm" because you're told not to do it. If you don't like to play a gamemode where you're being told what to do, then don't play prison break on T side. No, that's not remotely a free kill. @LampShade because you're an AO people will take what you say as law and create threads like this. You need to be extremely sure that what you tell someone is an actual rule lol, unless you're prefacing it with 'I'm not 100% sure' or something of the sort. AFAIK this is not a rule. -

Oh, yes, I wasn't referring to those teams - just the ones specifically kneeling. But yes, those teams that were not on the sidelines would technically be violating NFL rules at that point then. -

Kneeling during national anthem
topic replied to Caution's Asthma Attacker in Sports
So as an actual veteran, I think it's pretty funny when people go 'You're disrespecting the troops!' Umm...pretty sure the oath I took said '...support and defend the constitution...' not '...support and defend the constitution when it follows my beliefs...' I do, however, think the NFL is doing itself a disservice by allowing people to kneel during it. I think the general public does not like it, and while I would not blame the situation entirely on the ratings being down, it definitely has a part to play...which is also why people are always booing when they see it happen. I think people go there to watch a game and get a break from reality, and I can understand how it feels like people are being pushed towards a political agenda of some sort when they just want to watch a football game. I also can understand that it is a place of employment for those NFL players - somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but is it in the NFL rules for players to stand during the anthem? I'm honestly not 100% sure about that so if someone could post some clarification that would be great. But ultimately, it's up to the NFL whether or not they want to allow it. I think it's pretty ridiculous they allow people to kneel during the anthem but fine players over stupid shit like having stuff on their uniforms supporting fallen police officers. I will always stand for it, but I would die protecting the right for those to kneel - and I agree with Prez that there is a lot more important shit to be focusing on than something this petty. -
The simon says referred to as Command
topic replied to Caution's Brian in Jailbreak -- jb.steam-gamers.net
Trying to manage the way people play Simon Says is dumb and I am adamantly against it. It is by FAR the biggest clusterfuck because everyone adds their own twist, which may or may not be 'legal'. It's completely and entirely semantical - I could argue that it's possible to kill anyone who plays Simon Says simply by being a douche with the way you word things. On the flip side - if only Simon can declare himself as Simon, but in order to declare himself as Simon he has to already be Simon...is he ever really Simon? It's an endless paradox. Simon Says should be left the fuck alone (in 99% of situations) and allowed to be played however the CT wants to do it because the T's agree to it beforehand. It's not a 'reasonable order' because it's a death game lol - to which T's all have to agree to. id recommend AO's staying out of Simon Says - I am absolutely positive that it is a can of worms you do not want to open. -
