SMAC = SourceMod Anti Cheat. Overwolf doesn’t interfere with SMAC - stuff that interferes with it are things that are deliberately used to cheat, such as wallhacking. Overwolf causing someone to get banned for cheating is the equivalent to getting into a fender bender in California, but blaming some guy in Ohio. The two have zero correlation to one another.

Reece has been permanently banned for calling me chubby and short, even though I clear 6 feet and have a body fat percentage around 10%. Lol in all seriousness, Reece was causing unnecessary drama. Instead of coming to any higher up with any type of issues he was having, he started mass shit talking all of the higher ups in a way that reflects poorly on a CA - someone who is not only supposed to represent the community, but also is supposed to be mature enough to voice issues and concerns to try and figure it out. He practically begged to be re promoted to CA, and the BD's decided to give him another chance. After coming to an opinion that there is some sort of mental disconnect between Reece and reality, the BD's decided CA was not a good fit for him, and we were going to demote him to SA, but he stepped down on his own and started randomly insulting me in the chatbox. Ain't gonna put up with that shit - if you have that big of an issue with this place or one of my staff that you can't go to them and handle business because you're too much of a vagina, don't let the door hit your sensitive soul on the way out. I don't give a fuck if you like me, Prez, Black Rain, Wawa, any of my AO's, etc; if you are a Server Administrator or above, you will be held to a higher standard because you represent this community as an admin.

Good afternoon everyone! As you guys may have noticed, we have had quite a few people step down recently! Unfortunately, sometimes the step-downs hit the community like a quickly-spreading virus, taking a lot of good people from us at once in a rapid chain of events. It's rare, but sometimes it happens - I can assure you that there is no major conspiracy going on behind the scenes...even though that's exactly what I would say if there was a conspiracy going on behind the scenes... With that being said, the BD's and some of the AO's to form a majority vote held a meeting last night to discuss promotions. I want to explicitly state that none of these people being promoted are getting it because we have had a lot of step downs. They may be getting it faster, but we still have full trust and faith in the following: To Community Advisor, we are promoting ReeceReidRoux (yes, I formed them into one person), Dominic, Poobah, and Brandon. We haven't promoted this many people to CA in awhile, so we are excited to see that outcome of this amount of new input being brought to the CA section! To Administrative Officer, we are promoting SilentGuns! He is a former AO who has been around the block before, and has put in time at the CA rank to earn a promotion back to AO. We are excited to get him on board and have him working on some GMod projects! Please give all these people a pat on the back for earning their promotion! As a small side note, I'd like to briefly bring up something brought up in a thread made last night in OTF: As much as I appreciate it, I don't care too much about praise from anyone. I'm completely content in doing work in the background and seeing this place flourish, just knowing I had a hand in helping out. In regards to the rumors portion though...I do have to admit that I am extremely confused as to some of this shit I hear. I don't go chasing around rumors and hunting people down because I simply don't care enough, but I have heard some of the most absolutely off-the-wall things, even recently (although someone said something about a tiny penis rumor, that's totally true - 1.5 inches to be exact). Seriously...some of the shit people come up with is fucking hilarious. I encourage any of you to come up to me and talk to me and ask me - I can count on one hand the amount of people here that I will not engage in any form of dialogue with. Anyways, I just wanted to briefly touch on that real quick. Congrats again to all of those receiving a promotion!

Hello all, Just a quick reminder in regards to monthly subscriptions for VIP / subscriber: Due to the automated system we have integrated within our forums / Sourcebans setup, you cannot gift a recurring subscription to someone else. I understand this might have been a bit confusing because the form used to say 'is this a gift', but that has since been removed. There may be threads somewhere that may indicate that you can gift this, but please point them out to myself or another CA+ so they can be edited appropriately. While it's feasible for us to do this for a few people, it takes a lot more manual management, which on a wider scale would be completely unrealistic - honestly, donation management is one of the most time-consuming parts of running this community. The reason so is because I understand the frustration behind making the decision to put hard-earned money towards something, and in return receiving shitty customer service / in general not the product you expected. With that being said, I take donations very seriously in the sense that I make sure that everybody receives as smooth and painless of a transaction as possible. While it may take me a few days to get to your donation, I always do everything that I can to refund people their money if they are not satisfied / work with them to resolve issues that may arise. It is fully in our right to implement a 'no refunds' policy, but I do not want to do that nor plan on doing that (although if you're at like day 29 of your 30 day subscription, I'll probably tell you a refund isn't going to happen). You can absolutely gift subscriber / VIP via a one time donation, skins, etc. still...this is just in regards to recurring subscriptions. I'm also pretty relaxed when it comes to the methods of which you can donate - there have been several times where I've had people gift me a steam game and I donate on their behalf. The point I'm getting at is that I'll do the best that I can to work with you. Any questions can be asked here, another subforum, or via PM. Thanks

Hello everyone, So, a bit of a non-standard promotion, but we are re-promoting Delirium to Administrative Officer. When he stepped down, he was under the impression that because he lacked an interest in CSGO, he couldn't really help out the community in the capacity that is required of an AO. And while there is some merit to a need for AO's to be interested in CSGO, the BD's ultimately feel that Delirium can help out in a capacity to help expand our community to different areas due to his natural drive to help SG as a whole. After discussing this with him, he agrees that he can still perform in a capacity that helps steer SG in a new, hopefully great direction. So hopefully there will be some expansion to other game modes in the near future (VR chat?!) with Delirium leading the charge =]
