I had this exact same thing. When running through steam it doesn't run the updater. Go into the folder and run the BC2 updater manually (may take a while). 100% guarantee this works because this is exactly what happened to me until I figured it out.

It was +3 last thursday here, and now it's -45.... Epic change in under a week if you ask me.

Just went through and thanked all the posts that pretty much sum it up. As for uploading maps, don't bother. It's not worth your time. I can easily get the map, but downloading it and placing it into my maps folder adds more time for me. Basically here is rule #1 (the one and only), the easier you make it for us, the more likely we are to deal with it in a reasonable time fashion. "STEAM_ID of Offender Ah crap, I didn't take a screenshot. Should be able to see in demo somehow?" does not make our job easy, so don't expect us to get around to doing it very quickly. Name should have the names (all of them, not just multiple: shown in demo), the steamid should be a screenshot, not in the demo, preferably highlighted as to where it is so it's easy open and look. The demo should not be excessively long, and should only show us what we need to see. You dont necessarily have to crop it, but tell us around what ticks to look. I can GUARANTEE if you are someone who does this on a consistent basis, we will realize it, learn your complaints are easy to do, and do them MUCH quicker than anybody elses. If your complaint looks like this: I'll tell you right now I'm not downloading a 7.9 MB demo to do all the work myself, when you did nothing except type record demo. I'm going to 100% ignore the complaint lol. Sidenote: Spell the mapname perfectly correctly, if I don't have the map, I need the mapname CORRECT to download it. Again probably won't go out of my way to download the map if you just put "You know the one with the spinny thing"

Most of those are PB. I usually check the PB complaints, but I'm missing a lot of the maps so I can't watch the demo. There are only like 6 non-PB complaints that I, or someone else hasn't dealt with.

My one, and only point with my post, was that you chose to take his post seriously, whereas if Paul said it, or one of MANY other people, you would have taken it as a joke. I know you're talking about how it's a culmination of his past actions, but it only fits into his "trend" if you choose to see it that way.

It's pretty common sense that Zaraki was making a joke just like everyone else (need I remind you, this IS off topic after all) you just chose to find offense in it because it's Zaraki. Honestly, re-read this thread, and decide which posts are joking, and what aren't. Regionals first one, in a joking manner (but no offense) not really joking. Zaraki's, seems to me like he's joking. If he added :troll: after would that have made you feel better? Paul's: joking. Starbucks: joking (but like regionals, again no offense, not really joking). Starbucks is another person we've had issues with. So why not get mad at him too? These were my interpretations of who was joking and who wasn't, but even still, who am I to decide which, in 100% text, is sarcastic/joking and what isn't. So why not carry over the same standards to all posts and assume none are joking? In which case it sounds like Starbucks should get in trouble too, or all are joking, in which case nobody should get in trouble. I don't even like Zaraki (no offense, I don't hate you either, just in the middle for me) so it's not like I'm defending him because he's my friend. You may have known this; I did not. iPod headphones double as a microphone. So if you don't have a mic, but you have a pair of standard iPod headphones, plug it into your microphone jack and speak directly into the earpieces and well, as I said, it works as a mic (a someone decent quality one too, albeit rather quiet). So now you have no reason to not use vent. There are 3 versions of headphones that I know of. The old crappy ones that hurt your ears, the newer ones that have a much sleeker look, and the newest ones with volume control on the cord of the right earpiece. I'm using the newest ones just FYI, but AFAIK it works on all three (probably worse quality for older ones)

This, but I live in Saskatchewan. I mean it depends on how cold. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's cold out until around -35 celcius (-31F) and around there is when I start to shiver if I have to stand outside for very long. So if it's around -40 24/7, or +40, I'd probably roll a -40 because once you're used to it, it's pretty easy to put up with. But if it's going to be -50, or +50, I'd probably roll a +50, because the added heat wouldn't be TOOOOO ridiculous, but the added cold would be a little ridic (I've stood outside in -48 for like 10 minutes was ready to give up on life-it sucks).

Sorry to hear. Lol jk. I think it would be really weird to meet someone online, in real life. There are very few people I would be willing (or should I say want to) meet in real life. I can actually think of only one, maybe two I'd like to meet irl. Would just have nothing to talk about really. Think it'd be a little bit awkward ya.
