  3. college

BS and MS in Computer Science from 2 universities in Florida. Here's the deal, and no high school or college adviser will tell you this, you need to know damn well what you want to do when you go to college. None of this, 'I'll figure it out in a year or two after I do my basic requirements.' You need to know what you want to do as a career and find out what you need to take to get into that field. I'd also contact companies that you would like to work for and find out what they require. School is not going to teach you everything you need to know. You will be better off spending the majority of your spare time working on personal projects in the related field. Employers want experience and not fresh fish. Also, be prepared to wait 6-12 months, if not more, before you find a job in your related field after you graduate. Oh, and don't get a degree in Liberal Arts (history, English, etc) unless you want to teach it. It's a useless field to get a degree in unless you plan on being a PhD and teaching. If you do plan on getting a degree in the Arts, then get a second major, or a minor, in another field. The best thing you can do right now is find out what you want to do and contact employers what they require and if they have any advice. If you know people that work in the area that you want to go into then talk to them. College is becoming more and more useless as the years pass because schools just want to get you in, charge you, and get you out to make their status look good. Lastly, avoid community college unless you absolutely cannot afford to go to a university. Nothing against people that go to CC, but there is a huge educational difference and employers do look at the schools you've attended. If the field you want to go into is challenging and competitive, then CC will only hold you back when you go to the university.
  4. Amazing sex

And your point is? Today's society is far more fucked up now than it was 20 years ago. People are not mature enough, let alone intelligent enough, to have a child before their mid-20's. For the love of god, I hope you use protection.
  5. Porque, the other white meat.
  6. One of the greatest movies I've ever seen. It's absolutely hilarious and over-the-top. It makes absolutely no sense but that's the best part.
  7. Amazing sex

What the fuck, you're all too young to be having sex.

  9. Artificial diamonds are one material that is vastly superior than silicon. Also, I was only talking about a single core CPU. Dual cores don't technically work 'together', the OS balances the load to different cores. If you're only running one major process, a dual core will do very little to make it run faster. If the software isn't multithreaded then it will not take advantage of the multi-core CPUs, plain and simple. The only benefit is the OS off loading processes to other cores while one is under heavy load. We won't see multi-core supported software for quite some time since multithreaded programming is an absolute pain in the ass and that doesn't even take into account modifying existing code to utilize multi-core CPUs.
  10. If you have nVidia, get nTune. It will allow you to monitor the temperatures of the video card. If you have dual monitors, place nTune on the second monitor and watch the temps as you play. I'm not sure the ATI utility is called as I haven't owned an ATI card in years. Also, you should go to Guru3d.com and get their driver cleaner and latest drivers for your card. Uninstall your old drivers, reboot to safe mode, run the driver cleaner, and then reboot back into normal Windows and install the latest drivers. Have you noticed this on several maps? Different games? Different servers? When was the last time you rebooted? How much RAM is being used when you launch CSS? You should also defrag your main hard drive as it could be causing caching issues.
  11. The instant-kill on primaries is there for a good reason, but accidents happen. 99% of the time people walk into primaries knowing full well that the gun is in their path. Yes, people get killed because a T died next to them with a primary and it happened to fall in your hands, but that's what you get for standing next to a T with a gun. Accidents happen, but most can be avoided if you truly don't want to pick up the gun. If instant-kill on primaries is revoked then I will probably never play as a CT and will probably refuse to play PB in general due to the unbelievable amount of complaints that will follow. And the example I gave in my previous post about the pistol was when it was holstered and the T was outright ignoring you to drop it. Trust me, I've done it. I've tried to mingle with the crowd (kind of hard with an admin skin, but still) and ignore a CT's order to drop it. I think if a T has any weapon out, then they should be fair game, why else would a T have a pistol out if they had no intention of shooting it? But then that eliminates the toy guns, which are fun and are a great distraction, so I'm torn.
  12. Processors didn't hit a wall, technically speaking. There was a whole discussion on the 'Megahertz Myth' from AMD/Intel. Basically, it said that more MHz does not mean more speed. Instead, the two companies redesigned their architecture of their CPUs to perform more efficiently. This is why a new 1.8GHz CPU will easily out perform a P4 3.0GHz. GPUs will more than likely follow suit, and I believe they already are. Core clock speed isn't the only determining factor in performance. There's also cache size and speed, pipelines, on-board RAM, and many, many other factors.
  13. Android

I'm not sure how you would sign into Steam from a phone. There's no Steam application for it and, as far as I know, there's no way to develop it for another OS as Valve did not release any SDK/API to create a Steam-like program. It'd be impossible, or at least unbelievably difficult, to port Steam over to the G2. If Valve releases information on their protocol for the Friends/Community list then it'd be doable, but until then I would think not.
  14. I believe the ruling is that if a forum actively moderates its discussions such that comments are deleted, then that forum can be held liable if they do NOT remove comments at the request of the IP owner. And you can get in trouble, quite a lot, actually, if you discuss illegal activities. It's called conspiracy and carries a hefty penalty. In this case, it'd be conspiracy to commit piracy, copyright theft, intellectual property theft, etc. That being said, you are allowed to discuss the activities of another website but the owners of this website can tell you to stop or silence you, since this is their property. As far as TPB goes, after they lost the suit and were fined 3 million dollars, I think this was their only option to get out of that debt in a timely fashion. I also believe, which is somewhat proven by the departure of Peter Sunde, that the guys running TPB wanted out and wanted to work on something else. Also, I'm pretty sure that GGF is a shell company owned by the RIAA or some other special interests group, but I can't be certain. There's a whole bunch of evidence and discussion about this floating about and I can't be arsed to find it. TPB may be dead but there are many other trackers out there, both public and private, that will take its place, but I feel that since TPB lost the trial, other trackers will soon fall. Every 10 years or so a new technology comes along. BitTorrents need to find a way to reinvent themselves or they will be replaced by another P2P technology that we've yet seen. I also feel bad for anyone that currently runs a tracker as they are almost guaranteed to be on a watch list of some sort. And since most judges and lawyers are clueless about how the Internet works, let alone BitTorrent, and the fact that many special interest groups are in the pockets of said judges and lawyers, that the admins are essentially screwed. I'm all for freedom of information, but not at the price of my own freedom.
  15. The main problem I have with warning shots is this: Say you tell Ts to go to the pool. Now, say a CT dies outside of the door to pool, thus leaving their guns behind. As a CT, I should be allowed to say 'No one by pool doorway or you die' and not have to give warning shots due to there being weapons in the general area. This exact scenario happened yesterday with Awacs on Alcatraz and people were constantly bitching about warning shots, even though they knew weapons were on the other side and were trying to get them, if they were not then they should have been in the pool and would have been safe. Also, what if a T picks up a pistol and points it at you? Does that warrant a warning/warning shot? I've had conflicting reports from both admins and players on this and am unsure what the ruling would be. Sure, the T was probably going to shoot at you, but then again they could take that second or two, realize they are severely underpowered and drop the gun. Also, the damage a pistol does is far, far less than what a primary does. I believe the whole warning shots thing is too vague to encompass most scenarios seen in PB and should be abandoned or given specific areas where they are used (ex: Tell a T to drop a pistol and he does not, give a warning shot.). The T's use the whole warning shot concept to their advantage and is one reason I dislike playing a CT, because I don't feel comfortable killing a, possibly, unarmed T that is disobeying orders.
  16. A good CT team will relay orders given by others in text. For example, if Runaway types 'Everyone to soccer, no delays, no detours.' I will probably say, on mic, 'Yes, go to soccer you little bastards.' Though this does not happen all of the time, it happens enough so that typed orders are normally relayed. Also, if a CT doesn't relay it then a T usually will when someone asks 'Where are we going?' My only problem is conflicting orders, especially when another CT wants to go to a specific area and clear out any weapons first. The CT team as a whole will just need to work on it and improve their communication or they'll end up dead.
  17. You are a complete and utter waste of human proteins, neurons, carbon, and various other elements that could be better used elsewhere. I cannot fathom how you have made it this far in life with such an extreme lack of any noticeable intelligence. Your mother wasn't crying because of labor pain when you were born, no, she was crying because she had an acute maternal instinct that told her what an amazing waste of matter you were going to become. Please, do the gene pool a favor and get sterilized.
  18. I was able to play the decompiled map, but I couldn't get the secret to work properly. I emailed the author a few weeks ago but haven't heard back. I, too, give up for now. I might work on it sometime next week as the news few days will be super busy for me.
  19. Same as always, not play any games because you hate us
  20. Hello.

I will miss your warm embrace during the cold nights. I will miss walking through the door and seeing you smile. I will miss the way you undress before we shower. I will miss your smell on my clothes. I will miss spending rainy days with you. Most of all, I'll miss you.
  21. Too far?
  22. I think the teleporter on Space Jail should be an instant-kill as there's a weapon up there and it's hidden from normal view. Electric razor might as well be one big ass vent, there are so many of them
  23. I think warning shots make the CTs job a hell of a lot harder (which is why I hardly play CT in the first place). Warning shots should not be a rule, but a verbal warning should be given, though not required. I don't feel comfortable shooting Ts that are out of their designated area and that always gets me killed, I'm just too nice I guess. If a T is not in the area ordered to them by the CTs then they should be shot and/or killed.
  24. I was on vacation for a week in Mexico. I drank a lot of tequila. My bottle of tequila broke in my suitcase on the return flight. I'm quite pissed about that, but nothing more tequila can't solve.
