1. Laptop

Well what he was saying was that in terms of performance the best thing you could do was buy two separate computers, one a low end netbook and a desktop which you can upgrade over the years to meet your evolving computing needs. Anyhoo, that laptop seems to be nice enough, but you must know that laptops really don't perform as well as desktops and a few years from now even the cheaper desktops will run circles around your laptop.
2. States

Its not that cool, like the biggest news story of the last year up here was two lobster fisherman who got into a feud over territory and shot each other, well that and the gays not being able to get married.
3. Not sure if this really belongs in tech talk but I thought it was rather funny
4. I like to play reg its just no one is ever on, so I get all of my reg needs fulfilled by another community that is exclusively reg
5. States

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE LIKE THE STATE OF MAINE I DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(ANGRY CAPS RAGE!!!!!!)
6. States

LOL why would you like Maine, we got trees and Moose whats to like?
7. If you know the basic stuff you could probably just get by buying one of those study books at a book store they cover most everything on the test in an adequate manner to get the gist of it, and don't forget about google.
8. Laptop

Well. If you want to get seven years of life out of a laptop and be able to play games on it that entire time you'd need to buy the most high end laptop you can find. But for basic internet surfing, work and mild photoshop that laptop should be fine for the amount of time you plan on having it. The only thing that you should be aware of is that with laptops the graphics card is in there for the life of the laptop so for gaming you'll prolly be able to play css fine for now, but should there be another source engine update that could change and there really won't be anything you can do about it.
9. I really need to buy TF2
10. Currently I have my A+ and Net+ certs, this year I'm probably going to go for server+, and maybe security+

13. my rig

I would have gone for a radeon instead of a geforce but whatever. That almost the same motherboard I have, I just got the more expensive one with usb 3, and sata 6 gb/s
14. Doesn't he retire every season then change his mind?
15. I dunno if this would work but you could try a virtual machine with a 32-bit OS...
16. Forgot to mention this but Haiven is right building your own pc is a lot cheaper, my desktop has basically the same specs as the one I linked too but I spent $500 building it, plus mine has another pcie X16 slot usb 3.0 and sata 6 gb/s.. Moral of the story is if you feel up to it building your own you save a bundle
17. I would not buy an 1156 processor, ever. Main reason being your limited to one graphics card or an X8 X8 setup because on 1156 intel limited the number of pcie lanes to 16 and all the new gizmos like usb 3.0 and sata 6 gbps (which is a little silly) use pcie for connectivty till they're integrated onto the chipset. While for most people this probably won't effect performance too much if at all it really makes me not want to risk limiting myself. here's a great tom's hardware article which explains what I'm talking about
18. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229193 that one is decent-ish, you won't get 200 fps all the time (I have the a 5670), but its not bad either in CSS the lowest my fps has gone down to is around 50 on ze. While on PB I've never seen my fps go below 150
19. Well, I use AMD for the simple reason that for the amount of money that I spend on a processor I get more bang for my buck from AMD. But if money wasn't an issue, then intel all the way. Though in defense of AMD their top of the line chips cost ~$300, whereas intel's top of the line chips are over $1000.
20. Welll I would name it Major Tom...oh wait thats my hamster's name.

22. You're a god.
23. yeah you don't have an 8 core processor... you have a hyperthreaded quad core....
