After watching footage of Argentina fans celebrating Neymar's back injury I have changed my mind on the only root for someone to succeed policy. I don't want a team to win that has the kind of fans that openly celebrate that kind of injury to another player. Go Netherlands! Poor form Argentina fans... poor form. I am now rooting for a final between Brasil and Netherlands. I expect the game between Brasil and Germany to be a very hard fought game that could go either way.

I have an answer to this and it might piss a few people off, and while I was in Brasil it really pissed people off. Historically Soccer has been seen as a girls/women's sport in the US. American boys grow up primarily playing "American Football" or Basketball, or Baseball. American GIRLS grow up playing other sports like volleyball and Soccer (More widely known as Futbol). The point is this... it is only recently that the young American boys have begun to take more interest in futbol. To prove my point just look at the Women's World Cup standings for the past 6 Cups. The US Women's team has placed in the top 3 in all 6. They ended up winning 2 out of the last 6. As Futbol becomes more and more popular in the US, expect the US men's team to continue to improve. This cup has shown that the US men's team can play at the world level and have had several very close games against much higher ranked teams such as Germany and Belgium.

Circa 2007 (fuck it's been awhile) I was looking for a good GG server, stumbled across the then ZM server "Die Bitch Die" and jumped on. Back then it was common that the server was full and hard to get on during peak times. And though that server has long since died, and despite many tries to resurrect it stays dead I found that the people and other servers kept me here.

Calm down big boy. I was basing what I said on the amount of anger that seemed to come through in your posts. Wanting a team to go home because a fair weather "fans" (or clearly people that aren't fans, but pretend to be.) seems like a bad reason to me. That's just my take on it. If you really loved soccer as much as you say you do you would want the teams like Brasil and Spain to play to their full potential, because the best games are those between two teams that really want to win, put everything on the line, and have the skills to put on a great show. You said you love the Brasilian team if that's truly the case you would want to see them do well, not fail on their home turf. I totally understand being annoyed by the idiots that are fans just because a team is doing well. It happens in every sport. The NFL has this problem, the NBA has this problem, the NHL has this problem, etc. I decided a long time ago, that I personally wasn't going to hate on a team or wish that they would fuck up just because of idiots that claim to be fans. Rather I would hope that they performed well and that whatever team I was a fan of could pull off the upset. If my previous post came across as an attack on you personally that wasn't my intent. People claim I like Brasil because they are the host country, expected to do well, have 5 world cup wins, etc. I hear it all the time. Most of those people don't know that I have lived in 3 of the host cities in Brasil (Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, and Cuiaba), am fluent in the language, first lived there in 1994, lost my virginity in the Amazon rain forest circa 1996, Spent all of May 2013 in Rio, and that there isn't any other place in the world I would rather be. My advice is to stand behind a team you want to win. Focus on that instead of the teams you want to see fail. As soon as I did that I actually started to enjoy the matches I watched a lot more.

To lump all fans with those that don't know the sport or the team is more ignorant than the fair-weather fan that just likes a team because they are popular. I don't hate on the teams that other people like just because the won last time, etc. You must have a sad existence if you derive your joy on seeing someone else lose.

Having been a certified Ref for several years now. I can attest to the fact that you will run into bad refs, and refs that are biased. You will also have to make calls based on your vantage point only and sometimes you may call a trip, or other foul where there isn't one. Based on the refs position and the fact that there was contact before the "flop" I don't fault the ref for that call. Brasil IMO clearly has a better squad, but aren't playing as a cohesive unit and aren't playing anywhere near their potential. Although there will definitely be backlash the protests are nowhere near as violent as the media portrays them to be. Last May I was in Rio during the transit and anti-world cup riots. I was in the streets with the rioters for the transit riots. The news showed a tons of shots of looting and violent clashes, but I didn't see any of that. Later it was proven that some of the footage was old and from a completely un-related incident. So yes I think there will be a backlash if Brasil looses, it won't be near as bad as people say it will be. A majority of Brasilians stand behind their countries team and I have seen much more of a feeling of mourning than an anger filled rage when they lose. I agree here, the coaches have made some odd choices and the Seleção needs to come together and start playing up to their potential or they won't last much past leaving their group. (Which I'm confident they will at least make it that far) I would love to see Brasil and Croatia be the teams to make out of that group. Admittedly having lived in Brasil, having lost my virginity in a Brasilian rain forest, speaking the language and loving the country and people as much as I do, etc., etc. I clearly am biased in my opinions regarding Brasil. However I also have reasonable expectations. I am american and love my country, but also don't expect the U.S. team to do very well. They will have to play the best they ever have just to make it out of their group.

Not a bad choice, by any means. I will say though that HTC has come a long, long way in the past few years. I've had my HTC One for about a year now and have had ZERO problems with it. My battery life far outperforms the Galaxy S4 that I had. I like the feel and interface very much, but I also have several Samsung products that I have been happy with. I will most likely pick up the HTC One M8 and pass my One down to my kid.

Wow if I included everything here it would take forever... I've had far too many jobs to list them all... Farm hand Stable hand Gardener - All before 15 years old. After varied pointless jobs in high school... Owner - Surrogate Fathering Service Armed Security Translator Varied IT related jobs. I've done a ton of other stuff in between.

I have always refused to participate in what is clearly a commercial holiday designed to get you to spend money. Instead I reflect on the massacre I find it much more interesting and cheaper. If I want to send flowers or chocolates I'll send them on a random Tuesday. For some reason this always works out better for me.

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For home gaming use I always build my own machines. But because I refuse to be the support person for friends/family I usually recommend a company with a good track record for warranty & support. I am finding the amount of you that have had good support or like HP rather astounding, we dropped HP due to complete shit for support. Dell I can get parts shipped overnight without even having to call them (Corporate account.) HP to get parts was like pulling teeth. Granted some Dell computers are complete shit and you have to be careful what you order... which can pretty much be said for any of them. Hands down the worst support and most ridiculous to repair have been the Mac's. 79 microscopic screws to replace a keyboard in a 17" macbook pro is beyond excessive. The apple store convincing someone with a bad screen that they should throw away a 6 month old macbook pro is also ridiculous (bought a new screen and installed it for less that $175). Just like you wouldn't slice bread with a chainsaw (or maybe you would...) you wouldn't buy a mac for high end gaming. Use the right tool for the job. That being said you get what you pay for, the most annoying thing is someone that buys a laptop for $500-$600 from Costco and then complains that it is slow or doesn't play the games they want.

Blow job... I'd like to continue to invest in real-estate (rental properties in Brasil) etc.
