a wiki = yes There is a module for VB4 for that purpose and we'll use it .. I also plan to move the support system to its own page (linked via navbar) which will be more effective in dealing with member queries and support. The forum, thus should be a place to interact and have fun.

I have been advised never to mention eGO on this forum .. :ohwell: Regarding the restructuring of forums, I see a lot of dead-wood on the site which can go. As of now, I find it a bit confusing and not user friendly at all. Too much focus is given on banning, and the admin section (for those who cans view it) is a monster. There are many inactive sections as well which take a lot of real estate on the site. Personally, I feel that the members should not be scrolling too much at SG. Everything should be visible as soon as the page is loaded. ---- And yes, there will be servers to suit members from across the world. It is something we're working on.....

'branching out' is a rather subjective issue. Now, since everyone thinks of me as Warren Buffet.....a capitalist trying to buy his way to success.....no amount of clarification will work. So, I'll just say that we'll make sure SG keeps its flavor and choice of games......and be a more casual gaming forum rather than a corporate site.

I manage multiple forums.... As for your example, if someone invested a good sum of money on a forum, and let it die....then he/she must be idiots with money to waste. I'm not like that. I am neither rich, nor stupid. And I value my investments.....and will not like to spend a penny unless I have a plan and confidence in the project. I see myself as a facilitator...rather than admin/owner. I provide a platform for you guys to run SG .... while I oversee the long-term planning for the community.

The SGFX skin is exactly like that. Good looking, and user friendly. The target is to be attractive, and exclusive....while making sure its user-friendly and loads faster. Thanks, I don't really understand the question ... Are you asking abt adding new servers , or the admin positions ? Like the SGFX skin ? or should I just retain the current skin ? There will be multiple versions of any new skin we develop, and you can choose the one you like. The bottom-line is, there is no way I can be able to make everybody happy. It's something I would like to address. I want the members to focus on gaming...and do not want them to share the load, when we can generate the revenue from elsewhere. I'm not really sure, but we'll discuss and decide next week. More or less, we won't change the system....

Someone asked me abt the designing concepts we have,..since the first and more important thing SG needs is a brand new look and VB4. We have a fuckin' awesome designer... and he's doing the new skin for SG. We also have a new homepage layout/CMS in plan..... Well, yeah...hopefully, there will be an increase in traffic/memberbase and activity. That does not mean we stop giving importance to the pilot members that stuck with SG in its hour of need. We already have a ton of subforums.....needless sections...and that is something we will surely restructure and make it more user-friendly.

me There will be no changes in the staff. I'll post a detailed plan in the new few days.... There are tons of 'upgrades' planned for SG. Which includes a design overhaul, VB4, new features, tons of new servers ... new games....all design around member participation. We'll try to simplify things, and redoing the ranks is high on the priority as well. me Changes for the good.... We won't be changing anything that identifies with the ethos of SG. But surely, you guys would want more of everything on SG..no ? No. why would we ? SG is pretty big as it is. There will be better, faster and more servers than before. ?? Why ?? A lot more servers..yeah. Amir ? I'm not an avid gamer as you guys are (although I might challenge anyone at FIFA) .. and never been a part of SG. But I got my own expertise to help the site. Something which was missing at SG for long. Hopefully, I can fill that gap... As for the second para, plz don't make me sound like a capitalist parasite... There are tons of ways to 'reimburse' my investment without loading the burden on the members who are here just to enjoy the games and have fun. Maybe, that's where my 'expertise' will come in handy. Hey, I could only buy what was offered to me... and I took the offer. Let me explain the flaws in this idea. When the purpose of the entire exercise is to 'make sure the site doesn't die', the site will NEVER grow. Garfield wanted SG to reach new limits...and he took the route which made more sense, and looked most feasible. What I bring to SG, is resources and ideas, and a long term plan, rather than to continue with the modus operandi of trying to survive and not grow. SG has enormous potential to be an absolute monster of a community. Why not give it a try....? I didn't post, because I don't own the site yet. It would have been unethical for me to 'announce' my arrival even before the site was transferred. Not to mention, being disrespectful towards the current owner and staff. That's why I was interacting with them in the staff room. But, some idiot had to leak the info....anyways. Servers....will be upgraded to more faster, and with DDos protection. There will be newer servers for more games.....and more features. Rules will probably not be changed, but rewritten to be more clear. There will surely not be a pay-to-be-admin sort of schemes..... and I already stated that neither am I here to exploit the member-base, nor to use this site as a stepping-stone and sell later.

Hi Guys, It seems like the announcement was made...er...leaked sooner than planned. I was not sure if I should introduce myself yet, before the deal is secured and ownership changed hands officially. It'd be disrespectful to the current owner. Yes, Garfield is still the owner for this week atleast, after which I expect him to continue to help the community grow. I won't spend much time trying to me formal.....or talk abt me. Let's just get down to business ... and know that- - there won't be any drastic changes at SG - the site is not going to die....or merged anywhere. - i'm not here to exploit the members and make my millions - its squeaky bum time for the rival sites I'll scroll through this thread and reply to each of your queries now....
