Valve's pretty good at making games that run well on old hardware...Source ran fine on my athlon 2600 + radeon 8500, with decent graphics settings to boot.

Actually she won because it was found that mickey d's served their coffee much much hotter than everyone else did, hot enough to cause third-degree burns before the person even had time to change position to get coffee-soaked clothes off their skin, and that the company received complaints about their practices multiple times a year and thus had no excuse for not fixing an obvious hazard to customers, but deemed the number of incidents "acceptable." It was their callous attitude towards their customers that lost the case for them and it looks like Best Buy didn't pay very good attention to that case (like most people) because their lowball settlement offers are sending the same message here. However, unless she gets a real lawyer, whether or not she wins is anyone's guess imo...anyone know if she wised up yet?

Oh yeah I agree with you there (I actually hate the beatles with a passion), but I don't really consider the actual creation of the music to be so much based on "skill" as it is based on the creativity and vision of the artist. ie. no amount of education or experience can make someone write great music if they don't have great ideas already.

As a multi-instrumentalist I'd like to think I can tell when someone is "good," but I guess it depends on what you consider skillful. There's plenty of people who can play the guitar really fast but can't bend a note properly to save their life, an there's people who can't even PLAY an instrument that have written some great music thanks to sequencers and composing programs. Then you've got people like Yngwie Malmsteen who is a techinical genius but hasn't written anything interesting in 25 years.

Have you ever seen any of their live footage? It's fucking ATROCIOUS. I listen to everything pretty much, but some of my favorites include: Judas Priest 3 Inches of Blood Queen Early Metallica (before they MURDERED CLIFF BURTON WITH A BUS SO THEY COULD SELL OUT :O!!!!) Megadeth Regina Spektor A couple Slayer albums (you can only listen to so much of them before it gets boring, but Reign in Blood is a classic) Joe Satriani J.S. Bach Iron Savior Isis Early Incubus (pre-make yourself) Ozric Tentacles Symphony X Weird Al Yankovic For a "favorite" band it's usually just artists that I respect more than the music, since I like all music equally. I could go on forever, there's only a few bands that I "hate," but I don't really hate the music so much as the fans that fawn over them and constantly have to exclaim how amazing they are *cough*dragonforce*cough*

I second Queen...a lot of their stuff honestly wasn't that great, but the stuff that was more than made up for it, and if you watch some of their live stuff you can really see what great musicians they were. Not using it doesn't mean you don't have it.
