Well I usually just get yelled at when I tell people to man up, so I thought I'd try something different.

I play guitar (and all fretted instruments by extension pretty much), a bit of piano/keyboard (will be taking classes starting next semester, but I might be able to skip over the first level of it), beginner-level drums (I can lay down a basic beat in pretty much any time signature and do a proper shuffle, which I think makes me better than a lot of drummers :\), I can play Mary Had a Little Lamb on both trumpet and saxophone. Give me five minutes with almost any instrument and I can play something on it that doesn't sound like death, I was always pretty good at music if I do say so myself. I think I actually got worse at writing the more I learned about theory I'd love to get a sitar and a theremin. I'd like to pick up saxophone again too...I quit after like a month cause the school lessons were way too slow and I didn't care enough to just get private lessons at the time.

If the game isn't buggy and shitty anymore I'd fully support replacing one of the lesser-played SG servers with a zombiemaster server.

Oh man +rep for fallout...the only game I'm actually sick of because I've played it through SO many times.

This is technically not 100% true, but the exceptions have a personality disorder and are pretty rare. And I wouldn't say it's "human nature to feel depressed," everyone is different. It could be in a given PERSON'S nature to feel depressed, while it might be in someone else's nature to look on the bright side. I happened to have loving parents...I hated it as a kid and to this day it annoys the shit out of me. Either way that was a gr8 post, aside from some other minor philosophical gripes :thumbup: If you ever feel like things can't any worse, let me know and I'll bring my "O HAY DER" spray back I also have plenty of depressing stories I could tell you that'll make your life look like big pimpin' :001_wub: On another note, if you feel like you've been misdiagnosed with depression (or "diagnosed" with quotes by a social worker or something), you have every right to get a second opinion from a licensed psychologist. It's very rare to find a school counselor or psychologist who is an actual psychologist. It's kinda one of those things that might be important to know, considering the impact it'll have on all aspects of your life.

Uh yeah, the audience is watching their kid graduate which makes it worth it. He gets nothing. Do you not get that he has to sit through a ceremony which is entirely meaningless to EVERYONE in grad school unless they happen to know an undergrad who's going to be graduating? It's like a math teacher making everyone stay after class to watch a school play.

Have you ever BEEN to a graduation? I totally sympathize with him. I always tell people "we're all adults now" when they ask questions like "do I HAVE to do this," but it sure doesn't feel like it with the rules some places have. Congrats on being almost there at least!

I have the entire Red Alert soundtrack, it's awesome...the last track has a secret surf song at the end too :thumbup: I'm pretty sure that the original doom was the only one with a soundtrack worth mentioning. The Halo series had some good music, most of the Final Fantasy series had great music, Starsiege Tribes had awesome music but I can't find the soundtrack anywhere.

They're not bad if you have a specific enough topic...I hated public speaking in high school where it was bullshit like "do a speech about something funny that happened to you." Or maybe those were just bad for me cause I don't do anything. All the funny stuff that's happened to me you can't really appreciate until you see the pictures. As for the OP...just read it. Make a joke at the beginning about how you didn't write the speech so everyone will just have to bear with you if it sucks ;)

I think they're similar like Spanish and Italian are...knowing one makes you somewhat able to understand the other but by no means makes you even halfway fluent in it.

They speak Ukrainian in Ukraine...well Russian in a lot of it, but Ukrainian is the official language.

Midway through first semester and $50000 to pay back already. Yay $40000+ in fees on top of tuition for four years. I had a scholarship for tuition + room and board but I'm gonna lose it after this semester.
