  1. iPhone

One of my friends had it. It's definitely amazing. In regards to build quality and features it's definitely a good rival for the iPhone.
  2. iPhone

The only decent Android phone is OnePlus 1 or OnePlus 3.
  3. iPhone

That's not what you said. You said and I quote: Which is entirely not true. It's also hilarious how an admin on the community acts on the forums. @Caution
  4. iPhone

lol just lol. I don't even know what to say dude asides from that you know nothing about how all of this work.
  5. What a fucking lunatic. I've had a similar experience, was walking home at around 7pm (was winter so dark everywhere) and two guys came up to me, asked me for a cigarette, I told them I don't have any (didn't smoke at the time), they then started shittalking (can't really translate that into English, imagine the usual street slang and so on) and ended up pulling a knife on me and telling me to give them all I have. There were two of them and they weren't all that stupid, both of them weren't to my front, the other guy (not holding the knife) was to my right so if I tried to run, he could very easily grab me so I gave them what I had. My phone, headphones, wallet, expensive watch and they even took my fucking bus card. I went back home (I lived like 2 minutes away), quickly told what happened to my dad and his colleague (the guy is massive, 210 cm ~ 6.8'). Both my dad and his friend had their guns on them (they work in security). We went out with a car and started looking for them, we found them nearby where they attacked me, pulled over, beat one of them and threw the other one (the guy with the knife) into the trunk. (got my stuff back by the way) Drove a couple kilometers from the city, went into the forest, broke all of his fingers and left him fully naked at -10C. Hearing your story makes reassures me that we did the right thing. I doubt that guy ever attacked anyone again. You might think we've been quite extreme, though the last time someone jumped me and my friends with a knife my friend died in my arms while we were going to the hospital, because he got stabbed in the gut. One of the things that I really envy Americans is that you're allowed to buy and conceal carry guns (and also defend yourselfs against shits like that)
  6. I'd go back to the day that Trump was elected to see all that salt again live. lol.
  7. Why are you all still nagging on about this? He tried to do something wrong and karma fucked him. I'd say it's a good thing because it surely must have taught him a lesson. Hopefully he won't do it again and others will remember him as an example of why trying to scam people is a bad idea. It was nice of him to tell others of the scam though. Not everyone is bound to know about it, even though it's very old.
  8. Scammed while trying to scam others. Karma at it's best.
  9. @BluePhoenix What exactly do you refer by this? You should give a couple of examples. If you're talking about History, well, the entire point of history is to study past events. If you're talking about sciences, then how will you understand current discoveries and so on, without knowing the basics? How do you know that he wants to go to culinary school? How do you tell? What if he changes his mind? Also, the stuff that they teach is incredibly basic and you stand to gain more than just the calculus skills. You learn how to learn. I still find it funny how the US education system never has any lessons on how to do taxes. In regards to interviews though, what are you going to teach? People are different and expect different things. You can go to meetings, events or something that talk about interviews to learn about it. Again, what basic tasks are you referring to? Yes. YOU are going to be focused on that, but what about the other guy who went on to study bio chemistry or biosciences? You think that society changed, though many aspects remain the same or they're mixed in from previous ones. Teaching someone how to 'live and function in the real world' is also pretty tricky. Mind giving an example of what that should look like or what you expect? First of all, everyone's different so the teaching methods won't suit everyone's needs. That is simply the reality of it. Secondly, math homework is pretty important. If you think you'll know how to do stuff without pouring effort into problem solving - you're way wrong. Examples of this happening? (This one I am simply geniously curious about) I honestly cannot believe what you said after this. Maybe asides Finland, all the others are very rigid in the way they teach, are very focused on collectivism (society first), have a ton of homework (much more than what you get in the US). The Japanese school day starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Pretty much the same as the US. I won't bother looking up the others (I can assure you they aren't shorter though), but the South Korea highschool day is around 16 hours. You're going through a phase that mostly everyone went through, when everyone thinks the school system is shit. Now, that is partially true, though changing it to be 'good' is nearly impossible and not due to time or money related problems. In the future, please separate your wall of text into paragraphs. You should also read about what a paragraph consists of (you had nearly no examples in texts and very few arguments) @Herz Quite the opposite. They should give more homework and from earlier grades so you're used to it. Cutting back on something wouldn't actually make people happy by the way, they'd simply want less and less until there's none left. You should encourage after school work though you should change the way it's graded.
  10. Which PC to Get?

You can always build your own, or ask a friend who can.
  11. If you don't like the community, don't play the game or don't play matchmaking. Kinda interested whether you're not one of the people that others find equally annoying and don't realize that.
  12. Go for Logitech ones. Sennheiser good choice too.

  14. Apple V Android

iOS is a much better operating system, both in resource management and overall efficiency. Android, however, has really good options for phones that cost very little.
  15. @Punky Oh boyyyy
  16. So relevant to my post.
  17. Need advice pl0x

What happened to your old headphones? You can generally fix them most of the time.
  18. Except a whole bunch of developers use them. Most of the best web dev programs are OS X exclusive, you can program for pretty much any platform and dual boot Windows if you want. (Macbook Pro's were the best Windows laptops, hilariously) What are you talking about when you say "go above and beyond"? The only downside of Apple products is the fact that due to making them slim and easy to carry around, they don't cram in huge ass graphics cards so you can't play games on them. Something that most people don't do anyways. So literally like any phone brand out there. It's IP67, so it's good for around a meter and 30 minutes. Which is "toilet-proof". No difference? Wait, are you serious here? An entirely different operating system that's far more secure than any Android phone. A phone that works really well out of the box, is sly, good looking and a pleasure to use. My girlfriend still has an iPhone 4s and it still works fine asides from the occasional lag (because it's 5 years old now) While a Samsung S3 that my friend had is pretty much unusable now. They also retain their value a lot better than most other (if not all) devices on the market. It's fucking amazing how much hate people have for a brand though. If you don't like them - don't buy them.
  19. It's a personal preference. I prefer iOS a lot more over Android, however I generally don't buy iPhones because of the price. In regards to the removal of the 3.5 mm jack, Apple is going in the right direction, though they're doing it way too early. Basically they want the market to "catch up" and start using wireless, but that's pretty unrealistic and a pretty huge jump as wireless products aren't as popular right now. I don't see why so many people are bitching at them though. The 6S is a great phone so you can buy that if you dislike the 7 and there's plenty to choose from on the market in general. It's not like Apple hasn't done this before. I do think the new black model looks really good though. Damn.
  20. bind ussr "say cyka blyat"
  21. @Punky Oh god.
  22. In most countries drinking tap water is the same as drinking bottled water. @James Don't forget your passport, ID card. Might seem like shit obvious advice though I'd need more than my two hands to count the many times that people have forgotten those. Do not keep your passport with your wallet. Try to keep them separate and keep your passport safe. My friend got her wallet stolen with her ID card so she had quite a lot of trouble. Don't leave luggage and any stuff you bring alone unsupervised. If you check out of the hotel and want to travel around town a bit ask if you can keep the luggage in the lounge or if they can keep an eye on it. Always have some money separate. In a sock or something. Buy some condoms, you don't want surprises 9 months down the line. I suggest bringing some vodka/alcohol with you. A small bottle is fine. Something you can take on the plane with you. Ibuprofen for headaches and so on. Not sure how trustworthy the pharmacies in Mexico are. If you have very generic baggage put something on it so you can spot it easily and other people don't take it mistaking it for theirs. Guess this is only needed if you check your baggage in.
  23. Mac or PC

lol. I am guessing most web developers and programmers in general don't know how to use a computer then? You'd be hard pressed to find a laptop that's better than a Macbook Pro (even though it's a few years old now). The battery life and lifespan is insane. Very fast, pleasure to use and hardly ever break. The Macbook is a great laptop for people who travel around a lot & don't need a bunch of screen infrastructure. Have you ever seen an iMac? Look at how much space the thing uses up and how much wiring goes into it. (very little, thing is essentially a big screen) How much power it uses and how cost effective the things are. They're perfect for businesses. I've been to a town hall in Viborg (Denmark) and that was the only thing they had. They were all very happy with them too. The only reason you shouldn't buy a Apple laptop would be gaming, because they've never been optimized for that. They've always aimed at business/professional use though because they're so good many people buy them for general-purpose. For example, my Macbook Pro can easily last on a single charge for the entire day. Apple guarantees 1000 battery cycles until the battery is considered to be consumed. Many other manufacturers offer much less and the battery lasts much less to start with. You can also use the thing after it reaches the thousand cycles and considering the high battery life to start with it'll still be better than most laptops. Spend around 200-250$ and you've got a new battery that'll last just as long. Programs run quickly and smoothly, just like everything else on the thing. The search function is actually decent, unlike on Windows machines. I much prefer the overall design of the operating system as well. (though I might just be sick of Windows) Pretty easy to get support on problems. Just overall a great device to use if you don't game on it. Also, I'd like to hear about the Windows10 features that OS X doesn't have though. Never heard of any. @Clearly
  24. OnePlus products

Currently all 6 GB aren't used @Punky Thanks for the review though! Was waiting for it (:
  25. cars+life=RANT

I had my drivers exam and nearly failed because of dumb people cutting me off (yeah fuck faces, I can't drive more than the speed limit, there's always that 2nd lane to the left you know, completely free ffs) Previously when I was learning to drive I nearly died as some retard wanted to overtake a car in a fucking turn. 0 space for ongoing traffic and had I not been too slow at turning the previous corner I'd be made into mush. I've decided that people are dumb and just can't fucking drive.
