  3. Not sure. I think I voted on this after playing a couple of times and not liking it what so ever.
  4. oh yeah baby new router

Not really sure it's a good idea to get this one. I didn't actually buy it myself. We have free coverage due to my work and the provided gives you the routers. Idk, I feel like it's pretty good but I guess the Wi-Fi coverage isn't something insane. Then again I literally just got it today. Feels fine to me. It's ADB P-RG-EA4201N Oh and it kinda depends on where you live. If you have a bunch of people that use powerful routers around you they are going to kinda block your signal. Tbf i'd recommend getting various wi-fi points around your house (if you live in a big house) rather than a single router to cover your entire home. Router doesn't really increase anything. It just caps it off because it can't handle bigger speeds. That said, I don't believe that you only get 250 kb/s. I had an 8 year old router and it did 65 Mbps without a problem. I'd definitely give the ISP a call, because getting 250 kb/s is pathetic. I get faster speeds off my mobile internet. Would love to, though I am still pretty busy.
  5. Just got a new router installed. The last one was ~8 years old now. Internet speed just went up from 60/60 Mbps to 300/300 Mbps. Now... to reset everything the way it was....
  6. If you're seriously thinking of buying the phone, watch a bunch of reviews first, that compare the phone to others in the market. What really troubles me after a quick look at the specs is the battery. It's only 3000 mAh. My old OnePlus One has a 3100 mAh battery and its 1080 x 1920 unlike the S7 which is 1440 x 2560. The display is really good. It's also very expensive and unless you have the money there are definitely cheaper options out there. Also think about whether or not you can get it repaired or replaced easily where you live. One of the reason quite a few of my classmates choose the iPhone is because it's pretty easy to replace or repair if anything happens to it.
  7. OnePlus products

I would like to ask someone with forum permissions to change the threads name to "OnePlus products". I don't think there should be a new thread made for each phone tbh. @Caution @Nuclear Onion Thanks in advance! ------------------------------- The phone is set to launch by June 2016. In around 3 months from now. http://www.cnet.com/news/the-oneplus-3-will-launch-in-late-q2-exclusive/ The phone will, reportedly, have a completely new design. Or well, something different from OnePlus Two, which in my opinion, is a great idea, because the OnePlus Two was very unimpressive compared to their first phone. While it did have certain improvements, I hardly noticed them (or at least I personally don't care for them). They have also claimed that the US is very important to them. I think this comes after their OnePlus X didn't cover a lot of American bands and therefor was a pretty poor performer in that market. Apparently, theres is a good chance they will drop the invite system altogether. And well, they should. Reading facebook comments alone kind of highlights how many people were dissatisfied by it. It was a good idea to start off with, not to mention a necessary one, but they are able to keep up with production now, so they no longer need it. That is why they said they will start using more traditional advertising, which I don't view that favorably (because it increases the price), but I guess they do have to get their phone known somehow. http://www.latinpost.com/articles/116911/20160229/oneplus-3-june-2016-launch-top-5-specs-features-expected.htm The design to me looks very, very good. http://images.techtimes.com/data/images/full/179870/oneplus-3-concept-design-by-jermaine-smit.jpg?w=600 I think the brushed steel look is a great way to change things up. It also looks like it has a much better build quality than the past two phones. It will probably have different back covers as it usually does, which will allow the user to customize their phone a little bit. Good enough for a phone, definitely. Basically the same as most other phones in the market. The camera, compared to some other smartphones (on the OnePlus One and Two) was kind of lacking. So hopefully they manage to fix that in their upcoming OP3. I think the price is the best aspect of the phone. It's relatively cheap compared to many other phones. The Samsung S7 is supposed to be around 800$ for example. The LG G5 is a little bit cheaper assumed to be around 550$. Still, it's one of the cheapest phones on the market that you could consider buying. After looking at a few more sites, they can't seem to agree on a price for the OP3. Some say it will be no more than 400$, others - 350$. I think it should be around the 350-450$ range. So, all in all, it's probably a pretty good upcoming smartphone that is cheap. I think I am going to sell my older OnePlus One to someone and buy this one. Oh and in regards to holding it's value. The OnePlus One was released in April 2014. People are selling them for around 250$ in Amazon. It cost me around 330-340$ when I initially bought it. Pretty good in my opinion.
  8. New build

http://www.howtogeek.com/223728/bring-the-windows-7-start-menu-to-windows-10-with-classic-shell/ I can only imagine you're talking about the start menu, considering everything else is pretty much the same.
  9. New laptop

I don't really want a bigger screen though. I got the 13" because I wanted a small laptop. There is no way I could get it fixed here if it broke. (I would have to ship it to the US and back) The build quality is worse. (look at some of the reviews with the verified purchases) Screen is worse. Touchpad is worse. Which is incredibly important to me, because I don't want to use a mouse if I can help it. Other than that, I didn't really look into it. Like I said, I don't want a gaming laptop, because guess what, I don't game anymore. I've spent maybe 10 hours playing cs:go in the last 3-4 months. It will do well enough for what I want it to do and I am pretty sure it's going to last quite a long time. Apple computers also retain quite a bit of their value so I will be able to sell it for at least ~500 eur when I am done with it. I hardly ever scratch anything and I take great care of my devices. "Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S." On amazon.co.uk it costs 800 pounds, which is 1015 eur. The MBP costs 860 pounds, which is 1089 eur. Not such an amazing difference really. And remember that I bought it for 780 euros.
  10. New build

I have been using Windows 10 from just slightly after it was released. When I installed it and booted it up, it took a few restarts to get all of the drivers to work. They work fine now though. I lose internet some times. When I run the troubleshooter it generally fixes it ("Defaut gateway was unavailable" - not sure if this is a Windows 10 problem, though I didn't used to get that in Windows 7) Sometimes there's some other errors, but I think it's because of my old modem/something to do with the internet provider/the fact that I have 7 devices on Wi-Fi and my modem is like 8-10 years old. Other than those two it's been fine. Unless something changed (or the "get windows 10 free for 1 year" ended) you can get the Windows 10 Pro edition (or w/e it's called). That is at least what most people got. By the way, you can actually very easily get any kind of version you want. (check on reddit, don't have the link to it) And what do you mean by layout? Because in a way it is quite different. You don't have the annoying startscreen anymore (maybe you can turn it on though, not sure) and it looks quite similar to Windows 7 (you can always check screenshots online really). Though there is no more control panel (just settings) and some other differences. Why? Can't you just do a backup and boot from that? (plenty of guides on the internet for it) Also, really not sure why people would want to stay on Windows 7, except that maybe they have some really old applications that would stop working. (though in my case, none did) Asides from what you mentioned (start menu bugs), there hasn't been any for me. I am also pretty sure you're not going to get BETA versions unless you agree to be a tester, so there shouldn't be much worry of not getting a finished product. I mean, they were updating Windows 7 pretty much constantly. You can turn that off and it doesn't turn back on. Won't really comment further as it's pretty self explainable. os Nothing that they did not know before. Not to mention that to them - you are a number, nothing more. I would be more concerned about my internet provider/Google than I would be about Windows. What kind of problems have you been having with the search function? For me personally it works way, way better than on Windows 8. Not to mention you're not forced into that horrible startscreen. You can unpin all of the tiles. What you get left with is the Most used/Suggestions and Power/Settings etc. Isn't the lock screen similar to having a password for your user? (no idea, cos I only have a single one) By the way, you can remove the lock screen if you want.
  11. New laptop

I thought their customer service was quite good? In regards to laptops, I don't think they are overpriced. Expensive, sure, but not overpriced.
  12. New laptop

I am pretty sure you can install Windows on an Apple device pretty easily. Why do you dislike their products?
  13. New laptop

Feel free to explain why. Did you miss the part where I got it for 780 euros? It costs around 1000-1100 eur on Amazon. (I could sell it for more than I got it for) Why is it a waste of money? People often bring it up though they can't back it up without: "Oh you can get a better computer for games!" (hint: I am not getting this for gaming) Show me a laptop of the same size, build quality, screen resolution, weight, features, that is considerably cheaper than a MacBook Pro on Amazon ~1100 eur. (and then remember that I got it for 780 euros) Why is that so important to start with? I don't intend to be playing games on my laptop 24/7. Not to mention I don't play any games on my PC, asides from some very little CS:GO and Civ V now and then.
  14. New laptop

I don't really understand why it's stupid. For example, Transcend Military Drop Tested 1 TB USB 3.0 M3 External Hard Drive ($54.99) weights around 220 grams, that's less than a bottle of water. Not to mention you don't have to keep it connected to the laptop at all times. Can just keep it at home and use it whenever you need to. Exactly. The 256GB SSD model is a lot more expensive than actually getting an external SSD drive. Well, in this case, I have already looked up if it was able to run Civ 5 and CS:GO without much problems. (it's fine according to many others) I don't intend to max out the settings anyways. Also, probably good to note that I won't really be playing a lot of "big title" games that come with high requirements to play. It's not because of the laptop or computer, it's just that I don't particularly like playing them and mostly play Indie games or web-browser games. Hold up, since when? It requires a 20-30GB partition at most and they plan on decreasing that. I am very sure my partition on my PC is far smaller than 60GB. ------------- Anyways, I got the MacBook Pro 13" Retina with 128GB SDD (everything else normal) with a huge discount from a friend (still in the box) for 780 euros. The thing on amazon goes for like 850 pounds, so that's quite a huge discount. (it was his birthday present to me). As far as gaming goes, it's not really great. But apart from that it's a very well built, fancy looking, feature filled laptop. If anything ill sell it for more and buy something else. Thanks for all of your input though guys, really appreciated!
  15. New laptop

It's not going to be primarily for school. Thing is, I am going abroad for university, so I want to have an all-purpose laptop that would easily last me the next 4 - 5 years. Should have probably made that clear, whops. The chromebook looks nice, though it isn't something that I am looking for.
  16. New laptop

I am about to finish school and go into university, so I am looking for a comfortable to use laptop. I really like the MacBook Pro 13" 2015, 256gb SSD, though it's a little bit expensive. I am kind of looking for something similar, but a little bit more cheap. Edit: I am looking for an all-purpose laptop that I will take with me abroad when I go to university. I want it to last me the next ~4 ish years and be good enough for anything I'd like to do: lightweight gaming, programming, youtube etc. My budget is: 1200€/1340$/930£ - I can add a hundred Euros or so if it's really worth it. What kind of laptop I want: lightweight (~under 2.3kg preferably) good screen, size around 13" good quality build (I really like the aluminum build of apple laptops) reliable producer lightweight gaming (ill explain what kind of games I play in a separate paragraph) comfortable to use, good touch-pad. I am buying a laptop to last, so something that won't be obsolete in 2-3 years Lightweight gaming: I generally play Civilization 5 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I'd love if the laptop would be able to run csgo (on low/medium settings) at at least around 60-80 stable fps. Would be awesome if it's able to run games like Fallout 4 on medium settings or so. Thank you for any recommendations!
  17. Not comparing the specs is your own fault, honestly.
  18. OnePlus products

Their main market focus is on India and China on the X due to the smaller prices and still pretty good specs. You should just check out the band support on the OnePlus 3 (if you're going for that) before buying it.
  19. OnePlus products

I would wait for the OnePlus 3 if you want to buy a OnePlus phone.

  21. OnePlus products

I had an invite too, but I completely missed it. Oh well. If anyone is still interested in this, give me a PM from now on. Basically, phone is still going good. Case pretty worn out, but It held up well for what I put it through. For the price I really have nothing bad to say about the phone. Issues were fixed quickly enough for me not to mind them and there's a pretty big and vocal community that can help you with a lot of stuff. 64gb is more than enough for me. It almost never lags and if it does you can quickly restart it (only had to do it like twice, both times because of a game) It doesn't have some hardware (loook in the specs, don't remember which), but I never use it anyways so I didn't mind. The camera is pretty good. It's better than on most of my friends phones. 7 months later and I'm glad I got this.

    ts.steamgamers.com also works
  23. Dude it literally says it in your picture. "blood and intense violence", it has nothing to do with sex or any sexual themes. If you want to joke around feel free to do so in teamspeak or when you're playing alone with friends, though you should stop, especially around kids. Doesn't mean you have to be a saint, though you should watch your language. oh btw if you need to use sex jokes to have fun on pb you're a pleb.
  24. @R3TROATTACK @Crazy Swede @sphinxxxy Congrats! Well deserved.
