Hell, with the recent pandemic, I'd be playing on the servers right now due to not having to work long hours like I did before. But, 3600+ hours later, I am completely tired of CSGO and that's the only servers we have. Shit, even CS 1.6 is now the 26th most popular game on steam due to covid giving all games a boost in popularity, I would love to play on a [sG] 1.6 server. But actually using admin or not doesn't even matter when it comes to recognition ranks, it's still a symbol of recognition and trust in the eyes of many people for a long time. Taking that away and then turning around to say "well, it wasn't originally meant to be interpreted that way" is like saying the common perceptions of this reality are wrong and mine is right.

No, Veterans deserve full Admin rank powers, period. Everyone I see in the current Veterans rank were once LG (and almost all being AO+), so therefore, I see no reason to remove that perk unless an individual basis warrants it. Not only that, but they're all also highly trusted in an ONLINE GAMING COMMUNITY. Past AOs, and especially BDs, were given access to confidential resources over the Internet, never in-person. Those who were once trusted and upheld integrity in the long-term of their time serving should be rewarded with long-term trust as well.

Also, I am completely baffled by the Veterans rank losing admin powers altogether. In my case at least, this literally makes no sense and it infuriates me based on my own experiences here. I have spent countless hours devoted to this community at a huge opportunity cost to my own personal life endeavors: for example, I attended countless Teamspeak meetings at the CA, AO, and BD levels at the expense of spending less time with my own wife. I literally sacrificed a huge chunk of my social life for the betterment of this gaming community. I was even trusted enough to earn the rank of Board of Directors not once, but twice. This is not about me trying to make myself look good, it's about the Veterans rank not having admin powers. I don't play CSGO anymore, but if I did and played on the SG server regularly, I would absolutely lose my shit to reading this announcement and would be absolutely relentless in demanding change immediately.

Both the wife and I are essential workers and therefore, nothing has changed for us. The only changes are that I now make hazard pay ($3 an hour increase to my current hourly) and that our commute to work is a breeze with A LOT less people on the roads.

What about the changes to the playoff system with 14 teams instead of 12? To me, I think it's just a cash grab because it allows more networks to host the first round of playoff games (6 games versus 4). Also, it will immensely suck for the team that gets the last seed, because now you'll have to play the #2 seed in the first round and the #1 seed after that lol.

I mean, there's already a button for that, it's called not clicking the 'Thanks' link. Obviously, not every non-thanked post means disliked/disapproved; I think context is important in every situation.

I have been waiting several years for this game to be released and finally it is here. Ori and The Blind Forest was almost a masterpiece, but the gameplay mechanics held it back. This sequel takes the original and improves upon it in every single way, especially the gameplay. Metaphorically speaking, this is the Zelda: Link to the Past for PC in 2020.
