  1. Gta 4

Hey hey hey, Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath does not suck! :001_tt2: I'll agree though that the radio is pretty bad. To be fair though the only thing I listened to on Vice City was VCPR. Now that was brilliant. That radio station with the hockey horn or whatever it is over every song and the massive amounts of "go go go gogogo go go go gogo go go gogogogo", I mean who listens to that garbage?
  2. I'm still stuck in the AGP world and have a Radeon X1300 256MB. C'est la college financial aid vie.
  3. I haven't read anything that funny in awhile.
  4. I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS! ...ahem. Yeah yeah, old thread is old, but I bought my first guitar today. Kinda late to be starting at 22, but I only want it to be a hobby. Gaming is getting really fucking boring. I picked up a G-310 today along with Doug Marks' Metal Method. Should be fun. :thumbup1: http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/7/5/6/274756.jpg Besides that I think I can play the drums decently. I live in an apartment so I can't play a real set of drums(otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a guitar to begin with), but I've got sticks and a history with Drum Mania. Every once and awhile I grab my sticks and hit my thigh with them and tap my feet on the ground. I can do the generic DragonForce verse drum line like that and a 160~ish BPM double bass drum line, so I don't think making the transition to an actual drum set would be too difficult other than actually having stick rebound on drum pads versus having none at all on my thigh and having pedals instead of the floor. I've played Baritone in middle school and high school for three semesters, did keyboard for two semesters in high school and acoustic guitar for one semester in high school.
  5. I think I've played this a few years ago... I'm not sure if it was ESF or some other DBZ mod for Half-Life. It was definitely okay.
  6. Xbox 360 Game?

Are you going online with it or are you staying offline? If you're staying offline, there really isn't a choice... Grand Theft Auto IV will easily last you 30-40~ish hours on the first playthrough, while the other games won't last you more than 10 on the first playthrough(or so I've heard). I've heard Gears of War and Call of Duty 4 are criminally short in single player. Not quite sure about Vegas. The only game I've played from the list other than GTA IV is Halo 3, and I returned it two weeks after I bought it. Beat it once, had no desire to go through it again.
  7. Age of Chivalry 1.1

Installing now. This could be a fun little diversion.
  8. Get both. No seriously, I assume most people here have XP. It doesn't mean you have to stop using XP if you decide to get Vista. If you're going to get Vista, get it for the right reasons... which right now only seems to be for DX10 games. If that's your thing, but you don't want to worry about compatibility with older games, then get Vista, and then install XP and get your system to dual boot.
  9. Bunny Hop?

The reason behind it is that bunny hopping requires you to jump immediately after landing, we're talking about milliseconds here. Mousewheel jumping makes it so that you can turn the wheel back and forth repeatedly to spam the jump function to make sure you're jumping right when you land.
  10. Some of the code in the new Firefox was done by students at the college I go to(Seneca). I'm into computer programming too, I might end up taking Open Source Development and do some code for Mozilla in the future as well.

  12. I'm apparently a testicular penis-pumper who likes to fatten clits... I can't argue with that.
  13. Gta 4

It's kind of obvious considering the rest of the game and all of the other GTA games preceding this one. When hasn't the main guy killed his adversary?
  14. L4d

Assuming it'll run with a decent framerate on my computer, I'll be getting it. It should run, but ya never know.
  15. Mirror's Edge

That would be Yamakasi you're thinking of... I think. The game could be as inventive as Portal if they put that stuff in the game.
  16. Top 5 Games

    1. Quake/Team Fortress(PC) 2. Earthbound(SNES) 3. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(PC) 4. Megaman III(NES) 5. Super Mario 64(N64) Quake was my first multiplayer game, and it was incredible. It had so many variations online... runes, Q-Ball, CTF, insta-gib matches, and of course the original Team Fortress. I'm surprised Q-Ball hasn't made it to any major modern first person shooter that I know of. The person holding the Q-Ball is limited only to his melee weapon and if he switches he instantly drops the ball. Whoever has the ball scores points for their team over a period of time so in many maps you had an entire team barricading themselves in a part of the level, it was nuts.
  17. Ns2

Aww lame they put a cost on it? I loved the first NS, felt like first person StarCraft.
  18. Gta 4

  19. Gta 4

I really like the game but it's undeserving of a perfect score. It has it's fair share of problems. I did the bank heist mission a few hours ago and one of the key cops I was supposed to kill to get your guys to move to the next choke point went to the other side of the block so there was absolutely no way to get him without abandoning your guys. Also, it's too hard to see health packs. I rarely die but there's always that moment where a guy comes around the corner and eats your health up. The targeting can be kind of frustrating sometimes, it insists on targeting a certain guy when you want someone else on many occasions. Cars spawn out of nowhere sometimes(try looking behind you for a second or two on a bridge on-ramp) and don't seem to know how to react to a player driving properly. I'm sitting behind a car at a red light and the fucker behind me tries to go around and nicks the back of my car for example. And what's up with the cars that spawn at the tollbooth gates when you're approaching them? They sit there with the gate open for a few seconds before they move, making tollbooths more tedious than they already are. I do however like that you get to keep your weapons this time around instead of having to re-buy them every time you get arrested or die.
  20. As someone who's hopefully going to be a game developer someday, I wouldn't force that on people if they don't have internet connections. I understand the need to protect your game from pirates, but on the other hand I also understand that for most people gaming is a hobby that should come with as little hassles as possible. Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock, said something that I completely agree with on the matter of software pirates. He stated that they(Stardock) are taking an approach based on the view that people who install games illegally were unlikely to purchase the product anyway. Money doesn't grow on trees and gaming is an expensive hobby, especially PC gaming where you're already paying for hardware upgrades on top of software.
  21. I'm not sure yet. I don't like any of the groups enough to warrant the purchase of a ticket. The main draw is that Downsview Park is really close to where I live, and that it's a metal show.

I liked Slipknot's self-titled album, but I hated Vol. 3 and never listened to Iowa. I like the new Disturbed song off of their upcoming album but I hate their old stuff and think their current stuff is okay. I used to listen to DragonForce back when no one knew who the heck they were... needless to say DF gets old very quickly. Mastodon's not bad either, Blood and Thunder's a heck of a song and their latest album is pretty good but beyond that I don't like a lot of their stuff.

Lots of 'meh' and no standouts on the band lineup for me.

  22. Right now it's a lot of thrash, other kinds of metal mixed in too. I listen to some jazz/fusion every now and again, and even some ambient music. Megadeth Anthrax Testament Exodus Death Angel Sadus Anthem Onmyouza Impellitteri Black Sabbath Deep Purple Dream Theater Iron Maiden Outworld Protest The Hero Racer X Rush Yngwie Malmsteen
  23. Resident Evil 5

I'm glad Capcom's doing things to make these games more playable. I'll never understand the following Capcom's gotten from the first RE all the way to whatever came right before RE4. The controls were fine for RE 1 and 2, after that it felt so archaic and almost painful to play. Being chased by some big ugly thing and only being able to turn a hair faster than the Earth is so sad.
  24. Upcoming concerts

The Slipknot/Disturbed/Dragonforce/Mastodon concert thing is coming over to Toronto too sometime early August... real close to where I live too. Haven't decided if I want to go yet, I don't like any of those bands enough to go... closest one being Dragonforce, and they happen to suck live... or so I hear. Now if Gigantour(Megadeth, Dream Theater, Symphony X) came to Downsview Park I'd be all over that.
