  4. It isn't a marketing mistake, or even a PR mistake. For me and many, it's what I called a "symbolic" mistake. "Weaponizing" the mob mentality, giving points to outrage culture, that is the mistake. Your take of how bad the jokes were is completely subjective, I respect that. I don't feel that way at all when I hear stuff like "X fired over jokes from Z years ago!" I'm super aware that people do mistake and that they should hold their part. However, I believe change is stronger than our past selves. I had the same thoughts about Trump when I heard the "grab 'em" clip, even if I dislike the man. I like to think that there is a middle ground between firing a man and ignoring a scandal. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was quoting somebody. I've read a lot on many discussions, I've seen a lot and a LOT of people saying that people defended pedophilia for defending Gunn, this is where that sentence came from. Again, my bad for not typing what I'm thinking, I meant Gunn, not the tweets. I see it as character assassination by the way it was vilified. With common sense, people notice that Gunn changed, yet others vilify the guy as a pedo. They didn't try hard, but they still tried. From 8-9 years ago? Trying hard or not, that's assassinating a character for an agenda. Not my way of thinking, at all.
  5. I'm a big Gunn fan, especially for his Guardians. I dislike those jokes, even if I consider myself to have a relatively dark sense of humor. I didn't find them funny but they didn't bother me either. This is more complicated than a simple twitter research though. And believe me, those tweets are insanely bad, but hell. The offensive tweets were dug up by some folks on the right who were pissed at the very vocal James Gunn. Even if I don't care about that, their intention was to get the guy fired for his political stance on Trump. This is somewhat disgusting in my eyes, but alright. Let's ignore that and concentrate on the cast and their stance. Why the cast defended such tweets? Simply cause its a ridiculous move. Does anyone sincerely think Disney had no knowledge of that? Hiring a guy to launch one of the most ambitious franchise in the Marvel Universe, millions of dollars in budgets, actors, time, marketing, etc. without doing a simple fucking background check? The motherfucker directed "Tromeo and Juliet" lmao. The cast is standing against the hypocrisy of Disney not for pedophilia! Disney are the ones who are working with Johnny Depp who was accused of beating his ex-wife. Disney are also the ones who made some racist af animations back in the days. The only reason they fired the guy is because the tweets gained attention on Twitter and everywhere else. They pulled the classic PR move to look like the good guys, nothing more in my eyes. James Gunn hasn't even defended his tweets, it seemed like a sincere apology coming from a man who changed. I'm sincerely over this "everyone is offended by everything" phase, and I consider myself to be very on the left. I know for a fact he won't get back with Disney, but it was one hell of a mistake. Not for the franchise only, but symbolically. That's my take away from this, and I'm quite surprised the entire cast stuck with Gunn on that one, since Bautista was the only one who seemed pretty damn pissed about it on twitter. o well

  12. I am tired of BR as well but playing PUBG for a few hours with a server of SG folks on teamspeak is going to be mad fun, this is why we have a BR event and not a BR server ;)

  16. this has been around since the csgolounge days in 2013... Back then, links wouldn't get turned into [LINK REMOVED] too. If you get caught at this point you deserve it ;/
  17. Funny you should say that, that was my exact reaction when I was offered to try rws on scrim. Even ADR would be kinda fucked on a server with skill differences as great as ours. I don't see balancing as an issue right now. It's all about the scrim players themselves, play in good faith, know what to expect.
  18. Look at what VIPs currently have as ranks. I don't know where you got this adult thing too because that isnt the case. I understand why you want that to become a thing, I truly do, but that stuff only looks good on paper. I'll never have to patience to police everybodys matchmaking ranks, they aren't good indicators either. However, I could add rws to the server, which would calculate your rws and automatically make the teams, balancing them around rws. There are some big implications with this one and I feel like we should just keep going the way we currently are. Whoever seems the most experienced and knowledgeable has to step up and bw a captain to make the match a fun one.
  19. I don't even know my real worth. For a matchmaking rank to be accurate and representative of your actual skill level, you have to be actively playing competitive, which is not the case with a large portion of our regulars. Even if we were to make it a rule of some sort, this isn't enforceable and would only create conflicts that I have no interest in dealing with.
  20. sorry but me, eden and mar1 were in the 40ks back when we grinded it, no chance for u next contest buddy

  22. The only way I can avoid drinking energy drink was by replacing them with water. You kinda have to bruteforce it to break the habit, sadly. Avoid everything that is sugar as well, juices, cocktails, ice teas and limonade, shit helped me a lot recently. My advice would be to avoid everything but water, but that's the best case scenario. Bring a water bottle or even two at work/school and drink that shit whemever you set your eyes on it, it'll eventually stop the urge of drinking something else.
  23. Med-shots.

This has been discussed a lot in the past. Even though I'd love the T store to have more relevant stuff in it, that would be way too easy for the Ts. Simply adding another item to the meta is a great way to fuck the balance over in favor of Ts, who already have it pretty damn easy in my opinion. We'll already be adding a USP-S, idk about giving myself 25hp after every detective kill, seems very overpowered for anybody who can get more than 3k a round. edit: frick off @eden i didnt see the other thread and your previous response filthy freak
  24. welp, it only took half of my shift for this to turn into a mess (if we don't consider the op a mess to begin with). You might want to take a good look at people's comments man. There are reasons behind everybody's attitude towards you. Claiming a title doesn't make you respectable or credible, getting on a prestigious high horse isn't impressive, mixing "they're/their/there, witch/which" as a top 50 debater isn't helping, throwing insults at people because you're getting a taste of your own medicine isn't mature, and making a long ass post/story/philosophical essay out of thin air is not going to make people change their view on you. I've never seen somebody go from "let's change things" to "oh look, I've ran out of feet to shoot". You got to work on yourself, alone. Take time off to recover from your injuries and reapply in 6 months.
