  1. Ignore All Terrorists comment, hes just a meanie Your story remembers me of when I was biking back home from the pretigious grocery store I shop at. The village idiot ran to my ass and I fell on the sidewalk, thinking 'what the fricl'. I walked home with the bike on my side, with a knee SO RED I nearly cured myself from my colourblindness. I got on SG, applied for admin ANYWAY and then told my mom. She called me a bitch, then I went here to do some giveaway. The doc also called me a bitch, said the knee was practically already okay. Then I changed my pfp to an edgy runescape magic spell, to show the peeps how different I had become.
  2. yo Steam got a new beta client out. If you want the freshest look in the gamer world, head here if you want your entire client to look sick af and to have some extra features like CSGO competitive score. reddit thread: cheers fellow gamers
  3. Isn't this like money works at all @All Ts? The only reason currency is accepted worldwide is because of 1: trust 2: people using it. If people believe an item is worth x price, according to its speculated rarity and appeal to people. This concept is easily explainable using certain rarity of skins like Souvenirs from 2013/14. Those items are clearly the rarest out of the entire game, but the trust is non-existent because there is a constant fear that they are not worth anything. I wouldn't call the skin economy a scam, because it has been working for years just like a normal market would. I believe TF2 was the first game to introduce an economy like that, which ended up by over inflating into what it is today. CSGO is going to end up the same way, but it'll take more time. What killed TF2 was the death of pub and the arrival of OW, not the cosmetics, really. Also, the decline is not entirely due to skins in CS. The cheaters are not either (we've been seeing an incredible increase in quality since trust factor and VACnet). I would put the blame on a big mix of a few things: 1: Battle Royale genre taking people away from CSGO 2: Finals season clearly multiplies the effect of Battle Royale - people play less competitive, more casual games for lesser periods of time 3: Trade policy from May, which probably just cut the people who weren't even playing the game to begin with. 4: Lack of updates, new content being pushed away and the esport scene taking the vast majority of Valve's time. (Also Valve's lack of communication, except for John M) There's too much to blame to only put it on Valve and their "greed". I'm happy they decided to fuck gambling over, regardless of the motive behind it. As somebody who bought CS before skins were a thing, they helped a fuckton to make the game grow (by allowing content creators to make videos about them, case openings, etc. attracting people), but it wasn't skins alone who did it. The game will survive, the economy will slow down. The big burst of player we saw was in late 2014 with the esport scene gaining attention (soon after DH Winter). I stay optimistic with the game, Valve are working on a new UI + Operation (hopefully both at once) right now. As for your job, good luck Fyr.
  4. Back in my good days, I'd go Monster only. More csffeine, great flavours overall. Redbull is too expensive for the toothpaste taste it has +low caf, Rockstars have a weird ass afterraste
  5. I couldn't get them to work properly without causing some weird ass visual bugs. I got help from another mapper to optimize it without portals, which made it playable on high ends PCs. Initially, the plan was to make it so dark I could cut the render to a few hundreds units, like slender. However, players didn't like it and I believe it isn't comptible with our radar. I guess I could get back into mapping this summer and release a v6 of the map.
  6. I told ned that he should make the request. More bugs were discovered, anf the optimization is a real problem that I can't fix myself..
  7. I was the one who told Metal about it to get it requested. I've tried to add the button to the map, too many errors for my SDK to handle, if anybody could do that. I have no clue why the button was removed from the OG version. I love this map a lot, would be sad to let it go.
  8. First tournament I organized, I made the teams balanced around mm rank, and it ended being super balanced matches. Sean's league used premades, not sure how it ended cause I missed it, and the latest one I did was randomized + drunk. Random fucked up and the drunk plow won. Many ways to make this. If it's a tournament, I'd rather have balanced teams. If it's a league, it would be way better to have premades, since its a long thing with a lot of matches.
  9. We will probably organize a tourny/league this summer. Stay woke
  10. We have all the ative duty. The amount of matches played on the non active duty maps is marginal compared to the others. If your main argument is that people "don't know how to play those maps", I'd love to see people playing correctly on active maps in the first place, because nobody here knows how to play maps correctly, its an all-rank private semi-comp server afterall. I added the monthly maps to add some variety so we can enjoy some more chill maps whenever the ambience is smoother. Captains usually veto those maps first, I've seen very few scrim where everyone wanted to leave because of the map (with the exception of 2 matches on seaside a month ago). We won't be removing those maps (cbble + 3 monthly in our case) and we will have a poll up for the second month tomorrow, so expect more new maps.
  11. We've had threads like this one pop up since PUBG. The popularity of other game is relatively irrelevant to how popular it is in csgo. The game is badly adapted for BR and it's not super popular in csgo, people prefer playing the actual games. We've had BR maps in the past, like Swagbox mentioned, and they weren't voted on. It's the kind of thing that would be fun as a mgt, but not as a server. There are rumors that Volvo might be adding BR to cs, but those are rumors and I don't find them really believable because Valve shifted the CS franchise to the esport side a while ago, to the detriment of communities and custom gamemodes.

  16. smh 1: using a second ustensil is pointless when you can use one and wipe the damn pb on the bread, you're just a pro-earth killer, monster 2: the few seconds it takes to wash 2 ustensils instead of 1 makes the argument false since you're wasting calories, ressources, money, water. Imagine making a few millions pb&j, you'd save 11 days/million sandwich. I win 3: since you use a spoon, my 3rd argument converges with my 2nd all of u who put pb on both side have a special place in hell all of u who put pb and j on respective sides have a special place in jesus' heart
  17. Where you 2 go full retard is when the jam comes in. How do you spread jam on peanut butter without: 1. mixing the two in a god damn bloddy disgusting inbred mess 2. making your knife unusable with said mix on ustensil (requiring time, ressources, and money for the water) 3. adding jam in the event where you miscalculated the amount you have. I have no objection to the ratio. In the recording I express a 50/50 ratio, if you like jam and said jam is not to sugary or strong tasting. What intrigates me is the way you two freaks add jam to the sandwich, care to explain?
  18. My thoughts exactly. For having admin'd on another community (that's currently dying, if that's relevant) and it had server admins, with global admins. Poor ass unity, no teamwork, no sense of community at all, poor involvement all around. It's generally bad to separate the community with this, I think. For my case, I got admin the first time entirely because of jailbreak. I loved 1v1 too, but I wanted SA to help Jailbreak. Had I asked anybody now, nobody would even know that, since I myself spread around every single server, tried and did my best on all of them. You mentioned that Charizard was an exception, 1/100 admin for doing what he did. That is not true, at all. Many admins started somewhere and are not at that said place. I'm 100% against splitting the admins into smaller teams. We freshly split the SAs to reduce their power, too. Going on ZE and perma muting someone cause you didn't know that it did that (which is damn normal, it should NOT do that) is no where near being a problem either. Maybe jailbreak is the source of the problem, not the admin team after all. People leave jailbreak for very clear reasons, I don't see how forcing admins to stick to a server til they become bored/leave the community is going to help in any way. The problem is obvious, about jailbreak being badly admin'd, you're not wrong here. Deleting the unity that we currently have is not the solution.
  19. Can't say for sure if the pixel walk is KOS or not, been a while since I played actively. @Dominic @DML
  20. Exactly what Cept says. If a CT goes in a cell, drops his friend an ak through the wall, it would be gun planting, if it was intentional. I've never seen it happen, so it isn't a problem. The only thing that "bug" does is that your neighbor can steal your glock spawn, else it's irrelevant.
  21. This is a counterstrike bug, not a jailbreak/map related thing that much. It happens on many spots in official mm maps as well. Nothing we can really do about it but possibly fix ALL the maps. This isn't a big issue anyway.
  22. Gratz boys!
