I noticed there keeps being a lot of changes to Ghost, Weapons, Ratio, and so on added to JB where they're specific to donator rank but there's no mention of them on the donation checkout. Feels like this is could be advertised better but in the meantime maybe a sticky within the section to track what server specific perks you get. I'm not sure how many servers have these kind of implementations. Seems odd to add specific things for donators from a server manager perspective and it's not advertised anywhere on the site from what I can see. I didn't even know the danger zone or ghost thing on the server existed for at least 2 weeks after coming back lol.

Cool event idea I hope everything cooperates. This map is cool I’ve seen it before but never got around to playing it. When I get better at hammer these are the kind of maps I’d like to go about making, maybe not as expansive but I’m a fan of this more RP, goal-oriented style of Jailbreak rather than deathmatch or pseudo-minigames (which are still fun too.)

My grandma lost her sight, her hearing, her husband, her son, and more far before it was time. My family essentially fell apart when I was younger despite her just wanting peace and being a reasonable person with a good heart. Last year she passed away. Everything she worked for with her husband has pretty much gone to waste. I had to sit at her funeral watching the people who treated her like shit pervert her memory and lie... To take no accountability for how they tortured this woman where not even her death could not be about her. I’ve never felt so afraid to forget all of the memories and things she had told me about her life. Definitely one of the wittiest, kindest, unique humans I’ll probably ever meet in my lifetime. Even in her old age she was extremely sharp & took her decline in health in such a brave, admirable away. Time was working against her & she drew one of the worst hands you could draw. If I had the chance to let her live her life the way she should have and deserved to it would be the easiest decision of my entire life.

I hate this map but it has a lot of community support here, if Remixed makes it playable without getting rid of the reasons people want to add or messing it up somehow I'd also be alright with seeing it added. In the past on other servers it was extremely popular and I understand why, it was a very to the point kind of map.

This looks visually horrible and the map is extremely old. There's four* really op pistols in the cells, 3 teleports, a ton of one ways, an AWP in soccer to replace the scout. For the time being vipinthemix accomplishes everything this was trying to do but better.

Okay honestly and I don't mean to be a dick I had no fun during that RTD event and I hope if we do this on Scrim we configure it better or use a different plugin. I can't imagine RTD on Scrim being all that fun. Maybe I'm the outlier here.

We used to run scrims with increased slot size, that shit was a fucking BLAST despite some people taking it way too seriously. Just an additional idea.

1920x1080 16:9. Stretched seems like a dumb way to play the game given it does tangibly nothing. I’ve played this way forever now, tried switching before, everything feels harder to control and it only made me worse. My eyesight is more than perfect so unless I turn into Mr. Magoo I’ll probably stick with this.

Just to broadly respond to some of the posts here: The issue isn’t that anyone is being forced to do anything but that it is skewing the vote. It’s also just incredibly strange for CTs to give a freeday so that the map will get changed... That doesn’t feel like they’re playing the game as it was meant. The exact same argument some of you guys are making for it can be make against it. Here look: If people want the map to change, they’ll vote for the map to change. They’re obviously giving incentive for a reason, because otherwise people wouldn’t vote the map off. I do agree though, it’s not a huge issue it’s just a minor rule change I think we should do.

I'd rather a portfolio 100% SPY S&P 500 ETF than to diversify into a bunch of stuff that I don't know anything about. (CS:GO is the S&P) Wanna know why? Because that is what historically works. Hedge funds, stock pickers and financial advisors who try to beat the market fail more than not. They spent a fuck ton of money creating HFT just to etch out what profit they could, and smart people just sell options to idiots using the VIX with enough income to keep accumulating. Examples aside... you haven't answered my question on why diversification is okay when it comes to other games vs. you wanting Jailbreak to be strong rather than us send a few people to ZE lol. Make the CS:GO servers strong again, then we can go worrying about what else we wanna go do. That is what makes the most sense to me, especially when it's not some hail mary to do so; it's what makes the most sense. It is what has worked in the past in the most undeniable way I can possibly think of. Most games have pretty shit support for their servers albeit games specifically made from the ground up with servers and modding in mind. I do agree though, CS:GO and Valve in general have made it incredibly shit for developers and it's only by the graces of the SourceMod community and SourcePawn, which is only used because it is well-documented that we've been able to stay afloat. SourcePawn is also a cock to work with... In a perfect world SourcePython would be used and well-documented, and you'd have little kids able to make great shit.. but we don't live in a perfect world. Higher variance servers like what we have on CS:GO that require time developing, tweaking, building communities is what gives us a competitive advantage over joe schmoe who would go download Hosties, Electric Razor and think he had a chance. A game like Squad or Rust, that type of thing does not exist and is why it's incredibly hit or miss. ZE, TTT, JB, they're practically akin to developing games. It would be an annoying amount of work to clone any of our servers, and it would be even worse for someone to try to build a community even if you had something great. The servers are in an dire state, pretending that this is like other times is either purposefully ignorant or maybe you happen to have inside knowledge on projects the rest of us don't know about. People shouldn't be advocating to throw the baby out with the bathwater just because we're not doing so hot. As for the last part- Normal people at SG could do a lot, and do a lot compared to some staff at times. Just because I made poor decisions in the past that has put me in this situation doesn't mean I'm just gonna sit on my hands when I could spend a relatively small amount of time doing highly impactful things. I need no ones approval to help and if it's meant to be reading one of my autistic posts or entertaining one of my weird ideas will not be what stops someone from doing something that could potentially help.

We have have near to no success nor experience with any other game and CS:GO is near the most popular it has ever been. Where does this come from? It reminds me of the people who have said that WoW is going to die since it's release or the people who continuously try to short the major stock indexes. Myself or any of the people working to push JB forward who want to help other servers are the last people who can have it leveled against us that were going to sabotage anything at all lol. There are plenty of very obvious people to point fingers at who I could say could of done more, but it doesn't accomplish anything. Better to just ignore them and continue to spend my time doing other things. At SG it's common where even when we bring AT's up on our CS:GO servers that have been up for years upon years they for awhile don't even know how to add a map and are given little support/oversight. The idea we're going to start another server on a different game and have it do well more than some initial push on a static game like Squad or Rust I think is what isn't it chief. If the dedi space is available we might as well use it so yeah I agree with you there, even more so if someone is hosting the server for us at anypoint but CS:GO is still amazing for us. If we want to try to move into S&box or some other game be my guest, but here is the issue with what you're saying. Your argument is that we're splitting ourselves even helping a server that was within the last 5 years one of the largest CS:GO servers ever, but you want us to leave & transition away from a game (and that server) that we have the most experience in for what? That is a complete contradiction. What is the difference? CS:GO cannot be the reason why SG isn't doing so hot right now whilst every other community thrives and the game is doing great. There's nothing nostalgic or archaic about this, these are facts. SG has been on a downward trend. It does bad for awhile, people overreact say it's going to die, it recovers some but not fully and then people get complacent.

I agree with this as stated in my post, but at some point the community has to use it's foundation to help ZE unless we're just trying to sabotage them & hence ourselves. There cannot be this "sorry can't help you" mentality forever. Starting a server from scratch is damn near impossible community wise, and ZE does not have an overabundance of enthusiasm nor help behind them. Based off it's previous success we absolutely should not only help in that way but integrate it back into the community. A small amount of help could easily have ZE past TTT within a month or two, I have NO doubt in my mind about this. I would put money on it given certain things happen. Need another manager on the server, going to make a post with tangible easy changes (think Gentoo had some stuff to say too), need a few players to keep bumping pop slightly, a server specific meeting, and a little bit of hope. That is all. There are some necessary things that need to happen other than retard strengthening ZE to a high rank and watching it collapse on itself again, that is something I 100% agree with. I am going to make a thread separate from the other one that got pretty derailed and cover specific things. As for JB and I can speak on this- it is going to hit a natural limit based on the how the server itself is built very soon. The server gets over 20 players, gets extremely chaotic, goes for a few maps then trickles out. I'd love to tell you that we're about to jump past GFL/HG & eGO but we literally cannot with how the server is at the moment. There's a laundry list of tangible things we should be doing for all of these servers. It's possible we rocket forward with JB because the community itself has 1 server with people who never played it before from the community logging into it at the moment but putting all our eggs in one basket with JB in mind is probably an incredibly shit idea. If we didn't learn that lesson from having ZE and then have JB & TTT wingmaning it for years I honestly have no idea what lesson we did learn. People did get complacent and happy with the way the servers were. I tried incredibly hard when I was here to make it so that JB was bigger than ZE. This is all to say... If you're a JB player, give ZE a try, a healthy overall community at SG where everyone is amicable and familiar is best for the server. Come on Discord, enjoy the forums, I mean fuck go try to TTT too. JB is going to be there because it is well deserving of its current rank and because ZZL & Dom have been pushing good changes and will continue to push changes that help the community.

From a purely numbers (GameTracker) standpoint JB is second largest activity to something like the communities within the Forums & Discord which will waver highly and are highly unreliable as many of the people who lurk there have no intention to open CS:GO let alone help any of the servers grow a pop lol.

Right now JB is kind of almost only where the #’s are, we mostly have been trying to raid it from Discord. I’m not opposed to helping shock some life into it using JB’s pop it’s really just a matter of how integrated the players on JB are to care about the health of ZE. The way to spin it would be that we’re going to play on there, come join up obviously lol. Someone might mention how this might somehow hurt JB in this thread or siphon players. It benefits the entire community for every server to succeed in a real way, but there is a point where you can spread yourself too even. I think the things that save ZE this time aren’t as much strictly player pop grinding but we’re also gonna need to do a deep dive on the servers issues (possible improvements), community meeting (for the server itself, to pinpoint what needs to be done ), probably bring on another manager, get changes pushed, events, bring on new admins, new players, new maps and so on. This time a hard focus on embracing ZE as part of SG and not some weird 3rd party server might play a part in its longer term success and prevent some implosion later on. I plan on making a second thread with tangible ideas when I’m not busy this week, unfortunately it is Monday. And I am going to be very busy this week.

Next time I'll work smarter and make more people like the post. I tried to use pure retard strength and failed.
