  1. You're gonna have to TLDR this shit bro, too many words. The real pressing issue is why 75% of the NBA is black men despite only accounting for 7% of the population. You should get on that. You want to pick the people most qualified for the job, regardless of other aspects. This the intergalactic council. If you push for the idea that every culture, color, religion, whatever needs enough people to accurately reflect their portion of the population, you're never going to have enough seats. I don't see any Indians there, but nobody seems to be up in arms about it.
  2. I vote to consider using two Ts with lower HP if pop breaks 12 players. This will allow more people to participate more frequently and add a more nuanced feel than the traitor being discovered and spamming items as everyone tries to gun them down.
  3. Y'all let one fudge packer into the board and this happens. @BoMexpect to be hearing from my lawyer, blowpop.
  4. It is only fk if the death game is forced as the map is supposed to do the killing. If it's an optional death game, CTs can go ham as long as the Ts have a chance of winning.
  5. Please take the time to recognize that people of all walks of life were involved in the slave trade; we are all capable of oppression and evil, no matter the color of our skin. Let's also not forget the fallen heroes and brave abolitionists that made this holiday possible
  6. SG Alignment V1

Can someone rotate this 180° and put it on the political compass? I'm at work rn and can't Photoshop
  7. Map just blows, sorry buddy
  8. Is this for an entire build or are you trying to upgrade your current setup? For the latter, it would be helpful to know what you already have. Chances are that you're actually looking to upgrade your GPU rather than your mobo and CPU.
  9. You need a budget Unless you're trying to cop one of these bad boys
  10. A travesty
  11. What are you using to connect? Ethernet, on board wifi? A dongle? These issues are usually hardware related so it's difficult to help you without knowing that.
  12. I think at the very least, jihad should require players to type a command in order to buy it. Too many monkeys fat finger it at the start of the round and don't even end up using it. Should be a conscious decision made by players. Other suggestions might be having the jihad as an actual item that can be picked up by other Ts after death or forced to be dropped etc. Hell, while we're at it, other types of jihads would be cool, incendiary, weapon drop, ice, emp that mutes all CTs for a short time, etc.
  13. I believe you are mistaken, my friend. This is what a week detox from ZE does to a man.
  14. Yes and no. Let's say I see iso door open without anyone opening it from the outside. ZZL was the only person in ISO so I know he pressed the button. On a separate occasion, all of the Ts are in ISO and I see one of them jump up, so I assume they pressed it, but really it could have been any of them so I can't KOS them. You need reasonable proof to know that someone used a secret and KOS them. Having items from a secret is usually not proof as they can often be given to other players.
  15. WE STAY RISING UP AS OF TODAY, ELECTRIC IS ON HOLD AS @Hypno AND I CRANK BANGERS.
  16. It's pretty baffling to see that many people seem more concerned with the legitimacy of a thread rather than addressing the rather serious issue at hand. Moving along, while having a "just report it" policy can make sense, there a few noticeable holes in this modus operandi. Primarily, it fails to acknowledge situations that aren't report or don't have enough context. Many players may feel uncomfortable with a certain environment due to the language being used, but don't feel the need to report something as it isn't specifically directed towards them, or it's coming from a community member that may be considered higher than them in experience, rank, etc. A lot of times people like this will just leave. There's numerous examples of this that you could poke into if you were so inclined, but rather than scrutinizing details you can look at the bigger picture. Almost every substantial community is more diverse than us - looking at our rules and the general atmosphere, it's not likely a coincidence that certain people may choose a community with a culture and ruleset that seems more catered towards protecting them. Choosing to cater what language can be used and fostering a more welcoming culture will most likely allow this community to foster a more diverse community. It's not always about harassment, it's about making sure that people don't feel uncomfortable even from things that aren't pointed at them. Additionally, the "report it" policy introduces a substantial amount of bias. Reporting, by nature, only gives one side of the story. While looking into both sides could improve this issue, it's clear that this amount of effort and diligence is not always put forth when resolving conflicts. Even when looking into both sides of a story, having rules aimed exclusively at harassment introduces guesswork that must be done to find out someone's intentions, their history of behavior, context behind the interaction between the players, whether or not the interaction even happened, who's side of the story to believe, etc. Having hard and fast rules on things removes much of this guesswork in many situations and keeps people from toeing the line of what is acceptable while also ensuring staff aren't punishing those they shouldn't by misinterpreting intentions etc. Maybe it would be too much work to write out an exhaustive list of slurs - I don't think that means having any sort of list or policy on it is without utility. This seems like avoiding working towards a solution altogether because the perfect solution wouldn't be feasible.
  17. For years I shared a similar sympathy - that people on the internet should just toughen up a bit, brush things off. It's clear to me that this just isn't the case. It's not immediately obvious when you've hurt someone. It's not their responsibility to tell you they've been hurt. Certain words are far more likely to be hurtful than to have any meaningful utility or comedic value in conversation. I don't see why the stance taken on racism shouldn't be extended here as well.
  18. I appreciate the concern, but as a former manager, I am more than capable of handling a bit of name-calling and resolving disputes on my own. While this behavior is unacceptable, I would hate too see these hard working staff members chastised over what they perceived as a simple joke among friends. I trust that the Board is more than capable of accurately assessing situations and warning these individuals accordingly. Once again, I appreciate it. I see no sense in digging up the past as people are constantly changing and working on themselves. As many of you know, I have turned a new leaf in the past weeks and have made efforts to be a more loving and accepting person. In the past I was a hateful and ignorant person, and for that I am deeply sorry. I think the answer here is fairly cut and dry. In the past, we've made our stance in racism very clear - jokes and teasing are acceptable but slurs and insults are not, and should not be directed towards people. We are all fully aware of what constitutes a hateful slur - these should be strictly forbidden. The staff should be able to compile a rough list if needed
  19. Recently the Site Banner and Discord Logo were changed to (I assume) celebrate Pride Month. While this is a good thing, I think it needs to be reverted for the following reasons: -There are no formal rules to protect players on the servers from homophobia and bigotry. While there are rules in place against harassment, they require it to be reported by s player, or a repeated history of harassment for admins to take action. I have been called a faggot, twink, and glizzy gobbler on the servers with no interjection from admins active on the server. -There is a multitude of openly homophobic and transphobic staff in the community. Staff will openly use homophobic slurs in the discord, on the forums, and make 'gay jokes' that are harmful to the LGBTQ community. -While the community has donated to several causes in charities in the past, not once has an effort been made to raise funds for LGBTQ charities or foundations. For these reasons, it almost appears that the community is merely taking the piss out of Pride Month (or is just tone deaf), which is wildly disrespectful.
