  1. Possible Upgrades!

So much for not building your own computer. You would have saved more money with us helping you choose the components. Barebone is just a big combo deal. You are going to have to build the computer and it doesn't even have an operating system.
  2. I really need a new mouse. I have an optical mouse and it tweaks so much.
  3. I am planning to get a mic/headset. I used to have a headset, but it died on me within a year. So I'm leaning more towards just a mic. What does SG think? My budget is less than 30 dollars for a mic or a headset.
  4. What graphic card?

As I said before, it's impossible to make a GTX265 or anything higher into a low profile graphics card. If you can read, I did say that theoretically, they would have to be twice the length, since it's height is cut in half. And because twice the length is just not possible, due to limitations of the case and many other factors, making a low profile high-end card is not an option. And I also mentioned that is the reason why only mid range to lower end cards are made available in low profile. Please read twice before posting once. I repeated what I said in my last post, verbatim, except I added a few words for you to understand easier, as I understand that your comprehension is very limited.
  5. Windows 7 upgrade?

False info was false. Edited for your safety.
  6. What graphic card?

Fail. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Tbh, you sacrifice so much when you go low profile. It's half the card space taken away. That means the card has to be 2x as long for it to maintain it's power of it's original. So a low profile GTX265 would have to be 2x as long, theoretically. That's why it's impossible to have a low profile high end card. It's always mid range cards that go low profile.
  7. Test it on another computer or a MP3 player.
  8. Windows 7 upgrade?

It's not possible to upgrade to 7 from XP. Only Vista. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116754
  9. What graphic card?

Good luck finding a low profile card that will run Crysis at your demanding "top notch graphic settings".
  10. quick question?

I don't understand why it's still up though. Not like putting them in jail will stop the piracy/copyright infringement if they leave the site alone.
  11. What graphic card?

No do go any lower than a mid grade graphics card. Mid grade starts at 600. So 9600 should be your bare minimum. A 9600 will run you 50-100, though. But since 9600 GSO are getting shifting off the market and, maybe a GT220? It's in between a 9500 and a 9600.
  12. Haha. My friend decided to get more clips than we expected to get, so it came out to be 10 mins long. It was like 15 mins at first, but I told him YouTube doesn't accept over 10 mins.
  13. Oh gosh. NOT THE PRESCOTT!!!
  14. Video made by me. Made from a bunch of the videos his mom recorded at his games. DHcUfFRTXjg
  15. Cheap as in how much? If you can get that for ~600, just grab a better graphics card and swap out the 4350. BTW, that computer can run CS:S, but L4D and L4D 2 will probably need to be lower in picture quality.
  16. This brings up the question I stumped my friend who is really good at computers. I aked him if I did a fresh install of Windows 7 on a laptop, would it render the webcam, mic, biometric fingerprint reader, and any other built in component that requires special drivers to not work? As mentioned, most laptop parts are proprietary and they come with proprietary drivers.
  17. I don't understand why you would invest in a Core i5, but slap it with a low end graphics card. In fact, there is no reason to ever equip a computer with anything below a mid-end card. It's like slapping 4 spares on an Evo. (bad comparison, please do not flame me).
  18. THIS! Or Twix or Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
  19. No one said you can't do it. But good luck finding a good heatsink to keep the heat off your extreme proessor.
  20. Here is my folder of demos that got people banned from our servers. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=2ea81bce852339b219747bd91027d4dd9ab22d36134e2ac1
  21. What OS do you Use?

Windows Server 2003 had really bad driver compatibility to begin with. Basing a product off a failure will result in failure².
  22. What OS do you Use?

100% true, this is proven. It's based off Windows Server 2003, not XP. Windows XP 64bit is not XP, but Windows Server 2003 64bit, basically. http://thehobbylounge.com/forum/index.php?topic=6801
  23. It's like trying to build your own smart eco-friendly car from salvaged parts.
  24. Internet Speed

Download is average for America. Upload is 2/3 of America's average.
