  1. I ain't sharing shit from my account with none of y'all :3 Also I'm pretty sure that's not how family sharing works...
  2. I bought it because I already had 8 bucks in my wallet. So far very much worth it, but the only one that has to own it is the one defusing. You can play for free by being one of the ones helping defuse it on http://www.bombmanual.com
  3. Depends how many ppl come play. ATM afaik it's just me.
  4. So @SpikedRocker and myself played through about half of the bombs in the "story" mode so to speak. Gotta say guys, this game is a lot of fun. Think you guys will enjoy it. Also, fuck morse code....fucking bullshit....
  5. If this doesn't go here, could a CA+ please move it to the proper section What will be be doing? We will be playing the game "Keep Talking and Nobody Dies". Some of you may have seen the thread Spiked posted about the new game "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" If you haven't see the game already, you can view it and some more discussion including a video here Basically one person is looking at a bomb, while the others, known as the "bomb experts" are looking at the bomb manual. The person defusing has to tell the "experts" what the modules on the bomb look like so they can help him defuse it. Only one person has to actually own the game, the others can just view the website to view the manual. When we will be playing? Unless there is high demand to change the time, the current planned time is this Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 8 PM EDT. For the ones that can't figure out when that is, view the spoiler below to see a list of various locations. Where we will be playing? Since the majority of the game is played by communicating, I will setup a private teamspeak channel. It will be set so that talk power is required, and the only ones that are currently playing (the one defusing, and 2-3 "bomb experts") can talk. Will it be streamed? Yes...kinda. When I am defusing, I will be streaming my game. Doing a few tests, it seems the delay is around 30 seconds. Which given the nature of the game may or may not be great for everyone, but better than nothing? Who will be playing? Well, anyone that wants to can join in. I already own the game, and anyone wanting to be the one defusing must purchase to play. But anyone can be a "bomb expert" by visiting the site provided above. I'm thinking of trying to limit the amount of people in each session to about 3-4, but people wanting to listen in and try to play along and view the manual as people try to defuse it. Will there be a giveaway? YES! I have bought 3 copies of the game that I will be giving away during the event. How will the giveaway work? In order to be eligible for the giveaway, you must first be at the event (duh!). There will be three ways to win a copy. The first way is to play a game and help to defuse the bomb. Anyone that actually plays a game, will entered into a pool and one winner chosen at random. The second way to win is by correctly answering a series of questions. At some point in the event (exact time TBD) I will ask a series of questions. I will give everyone a few minutes heads up prior to the questions being asked. The topics of the questions will vary and can be about anything. To answer the questions, you will message me on teamspeak with your answers. I will set a timer for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, any answers sent in will not be accepted. I highly encourage and ask that you send in your answer in one long message. After the 3 minutes is up, whomever answered all questions correctly the fastest wins. If no one answered all questions correctly, then whomever answered the most correct in the shortest amount of time wins. The third and final way to win, is by random draw. At 9 PM EDT (or 1 hour after the event start) I will mark down everyone that is in the teamspeak channel and randomly choose one person to win. Keep in mind that you can only win once. I'm doing the giveaway more complicated than most giveaways here, simply to make it more interactive and hopefully make the event more fun for people.
  6. "Alright so-" DING DING DING DING "..." "..." "Alright you can't fucking wine glass me bro! I run this shit!" -@Caution with special appearances from @WickedZealot 's wine glass
  7. The meeting is 12 pm est aka noon?...
  8. I in my original post I said "that evening" if you think I'm about to get up at 6 am, start drinking and try to defuse a bomb with you nerds, you got life messed up.
  9. This would be happening around 6-7 eastern time aka east coast so just do the math for where you live. And did you really just ask me if I'm rooting for Dallas or New England....
  10. I'm off Saturday. Got the meeting at 12 est, another online hangout with the lead singer of this band I like at 4 est. that'll prob be over in about an hour or so. I'll be down to host an event later that evening. Got a bottle of some moonshine I'll think about tapping into. Lord knows I don't want to be sober Sunday when the Cowboys play the Patriots. I'll also look into trying to stream the game for those not helping defuse. I'll setup a teamspeak channel as well. Should be a fun night overall.
  11. Just bought it. Currently downloading. Edit: All right, the game is downloaded. Opened it up to look at it. To clarify, you don't have to own the game to play it, only the person that will be defusing the bomb has to own it. The rest can just go here: http://www.bombmanual.com/ The controls are pretty straight forward. Just as in the video, you are presented with a the bomb in front of you. You left click to select and do actions, right click to deselect or move the bomb around. The hard part really seems to be in the hands of the ones reading the manual. Just glancing over it,it seems like it might get a tad bit confusing at times but some playing should make things easier. As for those worried about people memorizing it, remember that the bomb itself changes when you play. Not to mention, before starting it requires you to put in verification code to make sure you are using the right version of the bomb manual, which makes me assume there will be later versions of the manual and updated bombs. Honestly its a good find @SpikedRocker Since it isn't required to purchase the game for everyone to play, seems like a really fun community game.
  12. Since you cut off the rest of my quote I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or serious XD :3 All good now.
  13. I seriously can't tell if this is sarcasm or what....
  14. Just because you reach the post threshold, doesn't mean you'll get it. You still have to stick out to the higher ups an prove yourself as valuable part of the community. So you could spam, but it won't get you HG Personally I'm glad we have this. One thing I mentioned last meeting was there isn't much incentive for a member to join the community and stick around. When I had first joined you actually had to apply for member, and getting reg was a big deal. HG should help get people to join and try to become a valuable asset to the community.
  15. I'd be down for playing. Seems like there might be a slight learning curve, but still something fun and different.
  16. >kids Alright. Source boss: go to the hardware store. Find the biggest piece of wood you can find. Also get the largest nails you can. If you need one, get a hammer. Go home, place the wood propped upright somewhere outside. Climb up on the roof. Take your pants off and jump on that wood so it's shoved so far up your ass you can't remove it without surgery. Then nail the nails into your eyes and perform a lobotomy on yourself. @Metal : Go find the nearest anime store. Buy everything in the store. Go home and burn it all and think about your life. @MyHobos : I want you to go back to first grade where you belong and let the adults talk.
  17. Pssst...no one nominate him trololol
  18. Go to the nearest store. Find the pest control aisle. Buy the most expensive rat poison they have, then go to the bread aisle and buy your favorite brand of bread. Go home, make you a rat poison sandwich and die.
  19. I can keep getting more creative with my telling him to die.
  20. Less is more. The less rules we have to add, the more fun that can be had, and easier it is to regulate. That's also why I love blanket rules. We have a blanket rule for this. It's the rule not allowing CTs to give the same orders for multiple rounds. As long as they mix up where they send you, I see no harm. It might be annoying and tedious but still within the rules. Also a time limit would be damn near impossible to correctly enforce. A CT could and would just order to big cage for 1 min and 50 seconds then order to iso for 1 min 50 seconds etc. Edit: And just to comment on the "playing like pussies" bit, honestly the CTs are more "playing like pussies" more than anything. Lose track of how often they have us shift or crouch walk to one isolated area and keep us there the entire round. If they don't they make us stay in one area then they make is shift or crouch walk to another area. Here lately shift or crouch walk is all we ever do. Also, you guys underestimate how hard it is to rebel when the orders are one step out, gun check us, then send us to big cage and have one CT camping vents and another camping armory. The bigger problem stems from CTs caring way too much about their precious K/D and being overly protective. Yes, the point of CT is to not die. But what fun is it to have Ts take one step out of their cell, face the back, then crouch to big cage. Have a CT camp vent, another camp armory. Then have them sit inside big cage the entire round and maybe play a death game, usually what's for dinner. Which then turns into the CT not killing whoever is funny with their answer, or who they like. Then at the end of the day, giving LRs which usually is next day free day. Then revoking that free day and repeating. Tldr; people saying "stop being a pussy" aren't truly understanding the problem Metal is talking about. I still agree to not add the rule, but the problem really stems from a combination of Ts not taking advantage of prime opportunities, and CTs being overly cautious.
  21. Go to the nearest city. Find the tallest building. Go to the roof, find a nice hard spot on the ground you like and jump to it. No parachute.
  22. Go out back, dig a hole, climb in and die.
  23. As Neptune pointed out we did try this in 2012 and it just didn't work. But, to be fair, iirc it only had "old school" maps which probably didn't help much. Way it stands now, the server isn't full 24/7 as is. I understand yalls points of it being different with 12 people compared to 24 but I don't think splitting the player base at this moment is a good idea. The second server was a good idea back in 2012 when mutiny was full almost 24/7. Also as pointed out the school year just started up. Maybe around Christmas break when we see a population increase we could try then and see how it goes.
  24. Why not wine? I hear @WickedZealot has an amazing wine glass ;) The meeting we had in August was "unmoderated" meaning anyone could talk at anytime, but it was just fine. No one really spoke unless necessary and there wasn't any trolling.
